Building Skills and Confidence by Go Abroad China

Learning Chinese through Go Abroad China’s language program was a life-changing experience. The classes were small and fun, and the teachers were very patient and helpful. I stayed with a local Chinese family who helped me practice speaking Mandarin most of the time. We also joined fun cultural lessons like cooking, etc.. I felt safe, supported, and happy during my stay, and I left China with stronger language skills and unforgettable memories. This program is really great internship at the sametimes learning new language. I will comeback again to China and choose again go abroad china program.

Let's Learn Chinese

If you want to learn Chinese, this program is for YOU—no matter where you're from.

I always dreamed of learning Chinese in China, and this program made it amazing. The teachers spoke clearly and made lessons easy to follow. Every day, we practiced listening, speaking, reading, and writing. After class, friendly tutors helped us with our homework.

There were also fun group activities like karaoke nights and museum trips. I made friends from all over the world, and the weekly language exchange with locals really boosted my speaking skills. In just a few weeks, my Chinese got so much better. The campus was clean, safe, and a great place to study. If you love languages or just want a new adventure, I can recommend this program. My Second Language Mandarin

I joined this program to improve my Mandarin and it helped a lot. Living with a local family was new for me, but they were very kind and welcoming. Every day, I practiced Chinese with them, even when eating or watching TV. The university classes were clear, and the teachers really cared. I liked how the lessons matched daily life topics. We also had fun cultural trips like visiting temples and learning to cook dumplings. My favorite part was language exchange with local students. It helped me make friends and talk better. I felt safe and supported the whole time. Now I can speak Chinese much more confidently.

My Homestay of GoAbroadChina

My experience learning Chinese with GoAbroadChina was exceptional. The homestay felt like a warm hug, not just a place to sleep, and the university classes made Chinese click. Living with a local family showed me real Chinese life, beyond any textbook. The professors were patient, and the family was kind; I learned so much, so fast. The university was top-notch, but the family meals were the best lessons. I felt like a part of the family, and the language just flowed naturally. Learn Chinese with Homestay at a Top University in China

Staying with a Chinese family while studying at a top university was an experience that reshaped my understanding of both language and culture. Every shared meal, casual chat, and simple daily habit turned into an opportunity to learn. Instead of memorizing phrases from a textbook, I absorbed Mandarin naturally—through laughter at the dinner table, morning greetings, and even trips to the local market. The cultural immersion wasn’t just educational; it felt like finding a second home. My host family embraced me as one of their own, and the friendships I formed will last a lifetime. If you want to master Chinese in a way that feels effortless and deeply personal, this program is the way to go

What was your funniest moment?
One of the funniest moments was when I tried to order food at a small restaurant using my beginner Mandarin. I confidently asked for “jī ròu” (chicken), but the waiter looked confused. After repeating myself a few times, he smiled and brought out a giant plate of pig’s feet! Turns out, I had mixed up my tones! My friends couldn’t stop laughing, and I ended up trying a new dish I never would have ordered on purpose.
Pros
  • Learning Mandarin in a university is great
  • You get real-life practice every day
  • It makes learning feel effortless

Let's Learn Chinese

GoAbroadChina’s Learn Chinese with Homestay program felt like stepping into a whole new world. My host family welcomed me with open arms, making me feel right at home while helping me practice Mandarin in everyday conversations. Whether chatting over breakfast or shopping at the local market, I was constantly learning without even realizing it. The university classes were lively and taught by patient instructors who made sure we actually understood the language, not just memorized it. Beyond the classroom, I got to try calligraphy, join tea ceremonies, and experience traditions that made China feel even more special. This wasn’t just about studying—it was about living the language in a way that felt natural and exciting. Unlike typical language courses, where you just sit and listen, this program pulled me into the culture, making everything I learned stick. By the time I left, speaking Mandarin felt second nature, and I had built connections that made China feel like a second home.
