An Incredible Experience!

My semester in Salamanca was hands down the best semester I've had in college! AIFS was very supportive throughout the entire application process. They answered all my questions via email right away and with very detailed answers to my questions. Also, the AIFS staff in Salamanca always welcomed us into their office. I would go after my classes to ask questions or just to chat. AIFS also provided great host families. My experience was phenomenal and I truly believe I gained a second family in Spain. We still keep in touch and I look forward to visiting them next time I'm in Spain. Salamanca is known as a university city and therefore, I was able to meet a lot of both Spanish and international students around my age. I always felt safe in the city, even at night.

Barcelona

Amazing!!! One of the best experiences and trip. The time that I was at work, I got to know some people plus got new experience in my field. This type of opportunity only come once in your life, and now that I got this chance I got to see what I really want to do and work in the future. This is the time to do anything you want and to get to know what you want to do in your field. Try something new and get something out of it. I had one of the best time, now is your turn.

Barcelona Internship

This was one of the most amazing experiences I've had up to this point in my life. I have never been in Europe before and Global Experience gave me the greatest experience I could've asked for. Inma Lopez was an amazing advisor and planned so many different activities to get us out and about to see the extraordinary features that Barcelona has to offer. We had an activity almost every week that involved seeing historic sites, art, and also travel to a city outside of Barcelona! I highly recommend Global Experience as they gave me an unforgettable trip which I will cherish the memories of forever!

AIFS Barcelona

It is impossible to not fall in love with Barcelona. There is something for everyone here. From the beach, nightlife, and markets, there is something for everyone to do. And because Barcelona has a pretty big airport, travelling throughout Europe is extremely easy. The best part of my entire trip was getting the oppotunity to travel. I was able to see the worlds tallest building in Dubai, Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, and the Northern lights in Iceland. I would have never gotten these chances so close together if I hadnt studied abroad!

What would you improve about this program?
It would be great if our flights allowed us to be in Barcelona a little longer after finals ended.

Aifs in Barcelona is a MUST

I´ve had an amazing expierience abroad and had the opportunity to come to Barcelona and was grateful to recieve a scholarship that covered half my tuition. I`ve had the chance to visit many places in Europe that was on my bucket list on weekends. I´ve made so many friends that I will truly miss since we all live far from eachother in the states. Inma, Jenn and Georgina were all so helpful and nice. I loved expieriencing a homestay I woke up to breakfast and came from a long day of classes to dinner daily as well. I would recommend everyone to study abroad its a great expierience and you see the world differently.

Fall Internship in Barcelona

Couldn't be happier with my decision to choose Barcelona as my host country. My internship with the architecture firm Wortmann Architects definitely met my expectations, I had a full time internship while enjoying all that Barcelona has to offer. It gave me the perfect opportunity to work in a field I am interested in and I definitely feel like it will help me land my dream job in the future.
Our Program coordinator Inma was wonderful! She was extremely knowledgeable and planned fun and educating excursions every week.
I would highly recommend Global experiences Barcelona Program to anybody looking to gain solid work experience, while at the same time enjoy the beauty of traveling abroad.

What would you improve about this program?
The housing was a little below par, but housing standards are lower in Barcelona than they are in America.

Best Summer!

I've tried to get abroad for years, but things kept falling through with my school. It's been a dream to live abroad and Global Experiences finally allowed that to happen for me! This summer was incredible. I saw so many amazing places that were so easy to travel to from Barcelona, and the city itself had so much going on. From incredible street performers to some of the best food I've tasted...I didn't want to leave! It's going to be impossible to beat this summer, and the cherry on top of it all was the loving and amazing Location Coordinator, Inma. She helped make sure this was the best summer ever!

Ay Granada!!

What can I say that someone else hasn't told you. Granada holds a special place in my heart. It didn't take long for this place to make me fall in love with it. The views, the people, the food. Everything made the experience one thousand times better. The AIFS staff in Granada also made the experience one of a kind. The work hard to have us fit in and they would answer any question we had for them. They were also very patient with us and they guided us when we needed it. Granada is amazing 24/7. Being here was a great opportunity to meet other people from different parts of the US and all over the world as well. Being able to travel during the weekends was also a great experience. We were able to have fun but at the same time we knew that we were there to learn. Going to school was also a different experience that opened my eyes because I learned so much.
Over all coming to Granada was one of the best decisions ever!
