TEFL in Antigua, Guatemala with Guaranteed Job Placement

I completed the TEFL course earlier this summer and had a wonderful experience. I was a hybrid TEFL student so the first half of the course was all online and Suzanne could not have been more helpful and available via Skype and email. I am pursuing a Master's in Education and ESOL in the U.S. and the TEFL course was a perfect addition. It helped to fill in so many holes and gave so many practical opportunities to observe and teach actual classes. Suzanne and Audra were a phenomenal team of teachers who have so much expertise and made the class so fun. The course is definitely a lot of work but you will gain great insight into teaching as well as practical experience. This was my second time going through Maximo Nivel and the team in Antigua was wonderful to work with! I highly recommend the course anyone interested in teaching abroad or improving your teaching skills for working in the U.S.

I wasn't too sure what to think of the TEFL course before arriving in Antigua but the Maximo staff are welcoming and look after you very well. The course is tough and demanding but as long as you are prepared to work hard and want to do well, you will have no problems. My teacher, Audra, was so great...she has so much energy, is dedicated to her students and is hilarious. I highly recommend taking this course with Maximo Nivel as you are well looked after, you can meet all sorts of people and you are sure to have blast! It is well worth having the TEFL certification whether you are travelling or not.

As a Spanish teacher in the United States, my primary reason taking this course was to gain experience teaching my own native language abroad. I gained this and MORE from Maximo Nivel! I learned many techniques I can put into practice in my Spanish classroom, as well valuable information about the TEFL profession around the world. Additionally, I feel confident that if I ever decide to seek employment abroad, the many wonderful people at Maximo Nivel will be there to assist me in my job search. My TEFL instructor, Audra, was FABULOUS! If you are interested in TEFL and teaching in beautiful Latin America, I highly recommend that you choose Maximo Nivel!

The four-week Maximo Nivel TEFL course was a challenging, rigorous, well-worth it experience. As a mid-career English teacher, I figured I would know most of the information and have little problem with the practical teaching. But I did learn a lot and improved my practice in the process. I have new techniques to add to my classroom repertoire. Everyone can learn from this class regardless of his or her background . And Audra, the TEFL trainer, is just terrific!

We just completed our TEFL training course for June/July. I really had no idea what to expect about the course. I had read online reviews of other courses and none of them seemed that great and didnt offer practical experience. Maximo has a wonderfully developed program and I have learned so much over these past 4 weeks. I truly feel confident to go out and teach English! Our teacher, Audra, was also fabulous. She made the class so fun; I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Our entire class (all 14 of us) got so close and we all just had a blast with each other. I recommend this class to any and everyone! There is so much to be learned and it is a wonderful experience!

The TEFL program through Maximo Nivel is fantastic. Everything about my experience, from the class, instructor, program was extremely professional and fun. The class was rigorous but the instructor was able to make it incredibly fun. We were in a big group for them--14 people but we've heard that they of classes of 3 or 4. As a person who just completed my degree in mathematics and education, my decision to take TEFL was influenced by my decision to apply to the peace corps (I was accepted while taking the course). I'm 100% positive this course has prepared me for my time abroad.

SO much fun! And SO rewarding! =D Be kind to the world and it shall be kind to you! =D I found myself in Antigua, Guatemala, and lets say the rewards were PLENTIFUL! My teachers were INCREDIBLE!! The staff was extraordinary, the people gracious and lovely. Pretty much, I would ask what is stopping you? Go. Everyone is willing to help! And in the end... You only live once. May as well experience new things, and take up new challenges! =D Cannot boast enough about Maximo! Thank you to the stars and back!!!!!!! =D

I am so happy I completed the TEFL program through Maximo Nivel. It was a very challenging and rewarding experience throughout. I learned more than I ever thought possible prior to signing up and feel more confident as a teacher. The lessons I learned I will take with me both in teaching and in life. Audra and Suzanne were both great enthusiastic teachers and often coaches who helped to bring out the best in everyone. Antigua is a delightful town that is both cozy and full of activity. I highly recommend taking TEFL through Maximo in Guatemala.
