Great Help

I used SeoulESL to find teaching positions in Korea. Before SeoulESL, I had a difficult time with a recruiter. However, with SeoulESL, the experience was much more pleasant.
Yuri, my SeoulESL recruiter, was one of the best recruiters I have had. She is very respectful, professional, and very helpful. With her help, I was able to find a school that I am happy to be with easily. Because of her, the whole process-interview, contract, and visa- was organized and simple. I would definitely recommend SeoulESL to anyone else looking for a teaching position in South Korea.

My experience with Yuri

I was able to work with Yuri Kim for the past few months. She was amazing! She walked me through all of the paperwork I needed to receive my Visa. I have met some others through my school that have worked with Seoul ESL and they all have said good things about the company. I had a total of 7 interviews within the first week of speaking with Yuri and chose a school within the second week. I was very nervous about moving across the world but Yuri made the process very comforting. Im so happy I'm here now :)

Attentive, Thorough, and Professional!

During my job hunt, I've contacted so many recruiters, but Minsu had been the fastest to reply. I appreciate his professionalism and respect for my preferences in schools as other recruiters have wasted my time sending me listings outside of my preference.

Minsu had been very attentive throughout the process, sending check up emails and walking me through a lot of questions I've had. He was prompt with communicating between the school and I, and acted as a great bridge to resolve misunderstandings. He has also reassured me of my questions and worries, especially about the virus, and I'm confident to say that I feel taken care of by the school if anything was to go haywire.

I appreciate the level of professionalism as well as the care he put into following up via email. Thank you, Minsu!m for helping me get here!

It couldn't have been better

I was certain that I wanted to come to South Korea to teach English for some time, but seeing as it was my first trip abroad, I was very nervous; Will I find the right school? Will it be in a city I like? What about support? How does the process work? I had way too many questions!

I was lucky to get in touch with SeoulESL. Their level of service, particularly my super-recruiter Chloe, is something you don't see often! She was quick, professional and worked so hard to tailor-fit my experience to my preferences and provided me with top-class support throughout the entire process. Within an hour of my initial interview with her, I had a range of schools to choose from arranged according to preference and shortly after, my first interviews with the schools were already lined up.

After I accepted a position, I was assisted step-by-step in getting my documentation ready. Despite the 7-hour time difference, communicating with my recruiter and the school was a breeze. Everything worked out perfectly thanks to Chloe, and it's clear that SeoulESL is the authority in this industry!

A Light in a Hopeless Situation

After job hunting for over two months with no luck from a larger recruiting company, I desperately joined Seoul ESL in hopes of finding a non-hagwon school in Seoul. Seoul ESL came to my rescue, getting me an interview with my current school that I ended up signing a contract with, which I love! There were so many bumps in the road, but Minsu is patient and professional. He is supportive, insightful and gets back to you FAST with any questions you might have. So lucky to have Seoul ESL on my side!

Secured a Private Elementary Position with Ideal Hours

I contacted Minsu, a recruiter for ESL consulting, rather last minute for a position. Even so, he was able to secure an interview for me with a Private Elementary School with fantastic hours, vacation, and workload. I requested specific wants out of a job and he didn't waste my time by sending me adds that didn't match what I requested. I was also able to receive assistance with a tricky visa situation I was going through. He kept me up to date on communication with my new employer. I highly recommend this recruiting agency.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
The most unfamiliar thing I ate was Beondegi: a street food made from silkworm pupae. I'm not a fan as it smells similar to burning plastic but it doesn't taste that horrible.

Experience so far

Minsu, from the start of applying to teach in South Korea has been so so helpful with the whole process! As it’s quite scary, in terms of applying to a different country, Minsu made me feel comfortable gave advice when needed and answered any questions that I was unsure about!
He catered to what I wanted from an ideal school and gave me plenty of options to choose from! Now I am off to teach English and I can’t wait to start my journey!
As a fellow vegetarian, he also made sure I had a veggie meal during my flight
Thankyou Minsu!

Teaching in korea

My experience here in Korea has been great so far! Everyone I work with has been extremely welcoming and the kids are wonderful! If I have any questions Yuri Kim is quick to respond and always has an answer. My experience with SeoulESL has exceeded my expectations. When I reached out to the program, we explored my preferences and the the school's she provided where exactly what I was looking for. I then received help on preparing for my interviews and when I received a placement she continued to assist me. Thank you for all your help so far and i look forward to continuing to work with you!

What would you improve about this program?
I would improve the method of getting to the school. I'm not sure who decided the flight plan, but I would have loved to arrive in Busan or Ulsan and shorten the commute from seoul.
