Highly Recommended!

I worked with Chloe, and she was incredibly helpful and responsive during every step of the process. She took my preferences into consideration and found me multiple great job opportunities in exactly the location I wanted to be in with a competitive salary and work schedule. Chloe told me exactly what I needed to do and when during every step of the application, interview, and visa application prices, even giving me questions I should ask in my interviews. She supported me from the first time I emailed her until I stepped off of the plane where she sent a driver to pick me up from the airport. Everything went quickly and smoothly and I am incredibly grateful that I was paired with Chloe. Extremely positive experience!

Korea is Soy Amazing !

I have been teaching in Korea for the past year. It is an experience both culturally and professionally that has encouraged me to grow in unexpected ways. When I decided to accept an unexpected position offer I had little time to study the language. I moved to Korea having never been to Asia. Upon arrival I was dizzied with this foreign yet familiar culture. Teaching New York City fosters both a sensitivity to cultural differences and a desensitizing, as there are many similar faucets. I can now read, write, and speak a new language ( still emerging), and though I boldly moved to Asia with a soy allergy, I have survived and learned to cook many Korean dishes so that I can enjoy without the soy. I now feel more comfortable wearing sandals with socks rather that exposing bare feet !
Professionally I have the privilege to work with principals, teachers and students form schools all over my province. This has allowed me to collaborate with an array of teaching styles helping me gain insights to the teaching and learning culture in Korea and sharing the current pedagogy practiced in the United States and Europe where I have taught.
I was offered a second contract and will be spending another year in Korea making memories with my students, practicing a new language, developing professionally and avoiding soy !
When I began working with ESL Consulting - Seoul ESL fourteen months ago, I did not imaging the opportunity that awaited me. They made the entire process from start to finish effortless. Meticulously reviewing my documents to ensure there would be no issues in the hiring and visa process. Leaving me in a new world with a sense of confidence and a feeling of ongoing support.

Thank you Minsu!

I applied to teach in Korea during a time where my home situation wasn't great. Minsu from Seoul ESL very quickly pre-interviewed me and sent me a list of schools. I was hired from my first choice, and he was there every step of the way to assist me in the visa process. It is a lot of paperwork and can be overwhelming, but Minsu double-checked all of my documents and moved them along! He also reassured me about the school, the living situation, and the city and most importantly, answered EVERY question I had (I had a lot). There were so many times during the process where I felt saved by his help, and couldn't believe how much easier the process was with Seoul ESL. He checked with me every few days (sometimes every day) that he worked, for about a 6 week process. He even checked in with me several times since I arrived in Korea 5 days ago. I can't thank him enough. I trusted him so much I even sent my friend to apply to schools through him as well. Use Seoul ESL and ask for Minsu Park!

SeoulESL/GEC

SeoulESL were so incredibly helpful throughout the whole process of my TEFL experience. They initially helped me with EPIK, and when I was rejected they were very positive about finding me a private school to work for. They gave me a vast array of schools to choose from and set up interviews within a few days. They helped me through the VISA process and made sure that when I arrived in Korea that they got me to my school safely and quickly. I cannot thank SeoulESL enough for their help and I would recommend them highly to anyone thinking of being a EFL teacher in Korea.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The most nerve-racking moment was when I was packing my suitcase to leave for Korea. I suddenly became very overwhelmed about the new experiences I was going to have and how different it was going to be compared to my life up to that point. I sat myself down and thought about how much I really wanted to do this, and I continued packing.

my school and the ESL Consulting

first I'd like to say that I loved ESL Consulting so much! Yuri has been a great help. She made my transition so much easier and I am forever grateful to her for helping me come to Korea and finding me a good teaching job. My school is very good and supportive. They have helped me through so much and they're very patient with me when it comes to teaching and adjusting. Everything is very organized. My apartment is actually really good too and its located in downtown so I have so much around to do like food, cafes, park etc.

What would you improve about this program?
The hours are a bit long. I would like it more if I worked less so I would have time to do other things like exploring and stuff.

Happy to be here!

I am so grateful to Minsu & his team for being so helpful & supportive in getting me here to my current position. I have a great job with a great home & was able to bring my cats and I didn't have to really sacrifice any of the major things I thought I would.
I am in reasonable distance of a big city (Seoul), and have GREAT transportation! I am very happy with my job and could not have done it without my recruiting team. I am enjoying my students and everything about this opportunity.
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!
This is a dream for me!!!

The most reliable and helpful recruiter I’ve ever used!

This is my second time using a recruiter when looking for a position in Seoul, South Korea, and this time I used MULTIPLE. Out of all the recruiters I used, Chloe at Seoul ESL NEVER let me down! She was always sending me new schools that suited my needs and going above and beyond to help me with every single step of the process. Seoul ESL is BY FAR the BEST recruiter I have used when trying to find a school, and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking to do the same! Thanks for everything!

Short testimonial for Yuri Kim

Working as a recruiter involves a lot of networking and interacting with a large number of people, so confidence is definitely beneficial. Yuri definitely has a lot of confidence. She is good at communicating both face to face, as well as via phone/email. She kept me in the loop throughout the recruitment process, and she provided me with frequent updates. By creating a good rapport with me, a level of trust was built between us and I'm more likely to want to work with her in the future. Recruitment is an incredibly competitive industry, so it was great that the recruiter was driven and work well under pressure when things got more challenging. Even when things didn’t go to plan, she was patient and kept her cool and was professional about it.

What would you improve about this program?
Go Overseas should provide greater support for visa applications to China and the Middle East.
