I'd like to report that this went really well, I got my certification within 1 hour of clicking submit on the final exam and learned a whole lot over the course of my study. I initially did this course based on what my friend told me, so I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Instead, it was pretty intense actually.

They claim at the start that you'll learn how to teach instead of just the theory, which is actually pretty accurate. The only thing missing is the actual practical opportunity, but they have activities that do actually get you into the headspace to think about doing this in a school. I wanted something cheap but cerebral, and this is definitely that.

I'm hagwon owner and I choosed this course because the certificate can be printed in my office and because it's cheap and colorful course. My certificate looks very elegant in frame. My student parents already have been commenting a few times on it as attractive and I explain what it means that I am able to know teaching techniques myself. Now when I had teacher sick I can teach English lessons without parents complaint. Perfect! I studied for 8 weeks part time and I read the text only and could understand very well. For teachers who have English also as a second or third language I can recommend this course.

First thing is that I actually tried out 2 other courses before finding this one (one cheaper and one quite a bit more expensive). This was, in my opinion, abundantly better for a number of reasons. So, the expensive course I did had limited video (just YouTube and no classes of English teaching to watch) and small sections of A.I. audio that accompanied the text (assuming they didn't just squash them all into the final 3/4 of the course, but why would they do that?). This was better than the cheaper course, which had no audio at all and was just pages and pages of black text on a white screen with no images. That was my first experience of online TEFL, by the way, which was an eye opener, for real. To be fair to those companies, they did give me refunds quickly.

Now, the expensive course did have a bit of a smoother interface with shorter lesson sections than study TEFL's, but it seemed to cover far less and had barely anything on what you actually need to do to teach stuff. It was focused on content of classes rather than how to go about breaking it down. I thought this course was so good at covering the practical aspects, though it was still theory, of course. Don't go into this expecting a perfect course, but compared to the two that I tried, it's a bargain because it has more features than let's say 'some' more expensive others, because I don't know if I just got unlucky with that one, and it is much more than just a block of text with quiz questions.

My advice is watch the classroom videos and do the problem solving question tasks properly, and you'll get a lot out of this course. It's worth the hard work.

I didn't trust the price at first and was expecting for them to asking for extra cash or something, but it's been exactly as Jonny said when I emailed. The certificate worked on the 2 online platforms I've tried it on, so they deserve this review I'd say. I went with the bit more expensive course, if I can use the word expensive without sounding like I'm laughing, and found it pretty interesting despite having so much content to digest. They have a choice of text or video for the content, though I went with videos and subtitles most of the time as it was pretty engaging (despite just being a talking head!). It's not an AI voice, by the way, which they had text proudly stating above the video section (I imagine that must been an issue before as they had it on every lesson 😄). Quizzes took a while to complete and covered lots of scenarios, so you get assessed pretty hard. I waited 45 minutes for my certs to get sent to my email, which is something I'm sure they could automate (?). Brilliant value, but you're not finishing it too quickly.

I really enjoyed this course and can vouch for its teaching style. Content is nice and easy to read, and there's so many useful little tips alongside the more standard content I was expecting to find. The course designers have made this engaging with videos (I also noticed that the AI voices were replaced with a real, living person's voice - well done, as that was the one non-engaging thing I found a couple of months ago when I started the course!) and problem solving tasks that make you imagine going through the thought process of a teacher. They're actually very effective, as I've taught English before as a volunteer and it got me thinking back to those experiences. Everything is neatly put together in a patterned way so you know what's coming with each unit - I think that's important as you can anticipate and not worry about learning some new task and focus instead on the learning point. This is an easy 5 stars in my book, and yes the price helps that thought process, but I'd say that even if it were a bit pricier.

This was an excellent course from start to finish. To start, they have videos with subtitles of all the text and it's a real person speaking (not AI). Below the videos they have April 2026 updated to human voice. This was great for me, because reading so much text is a little boring, so I skim the text after I watch the subtitles. After this they had extra videos to go more into detail for different topics, but the best part was the checkpoint quizzes each unit and the pretend lesson scenes where you imagine teaching and evaluate different actions you can take. All of this has feedback. The top part for me was having lots of videos of real English classes being teached by what looked like pro teachers (they were really good teachers). I got my certificate after 18 days of quite hard study. This was not easy but it was worth every hour because I did learn so much. Also, the certificat is very nice looking.

Like many other people, I generally have a quick look at what's on google and then leave my thinking and sorting to chatgpt. I narrowed down my options to this and a cheaper one, but I liked the look of this website a bit more, and that was that. I'm sat here now with a smile on my face, certificate in my inbox, and my mind full of tefl jargon and teaching ideas. This was a great experience and one I'm happy to share with others now that I know what I know. The price of the courses makes them seem a bit too good to be true, but what you get far exceeds what you pay. I think the free lesson is a actually the best place for people to go first as if you're not impressed from that, you likely need a much more expensive course. This price doesn't include actual teaching but they have added many videos and mini tasks to make it feel a bit more hands on. I'm really happy with it and encourage others to try.

I am excited to explain about my TEFL training with studyTEFL. First, this wasn't a simple course which just makes you read text and click answers about theory. When I look up this course 3 weeks before, one student said AI voices were a problem, but they have 'updated in April 2026' on all their unit pages to show these have changed to a real human. It's funny to me that one person's complain maybe changed their philosophy! The videos are good, so maybe it's a good thing. Next, the units have so many knowledges that they cover so many important parts of teaching like actually what to do to teach all age groups. The biggest thing for me was the online teaching unit, as that's what I will do now. It's a complete course with logical structure that has leave me extremily satisfied.
