Combined Level 5 TEFL Course in South Africa

I've just completed my Combined Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours) with The TEFL Academy and it was an extremely rewarding and enjoyable experience. The content was informative, the site was easy to navigate and the assignment feedback was both detailed and constructive. I know there are many other online TEFL courses available and the options can be overwhelming, but I really can't fault The TEFL Academy course. It was an excellent choice and I would highly recommend it. Thank you to The TEFL Academy for a world-class course.

I started this course very hesitantly. With a little teaching experience as a sports coach, I wasn't sure I wanted to pursue a career in teaching academics. Initially I thought it would be a good qualification to have in a CV. The course however, has opened my eyes to a wide range of possibilities and is awakening a passion inside me, to assist so many others who need to learn English to create opportunities for themselves. The TEFL Academy has proven to be a highly professional institution, with the course being so engaging and in depth without making the student feel overwhelmed and inept. The feedback provided after assignments is very appreciated as it helps further develop your knowledge and skills. I would recommend this course to anybody interested in pursuing this field.

My experience is truly amazing,the course was easy and all instructions and information were at a fair level was there no need to ask for assistance for most of the course. I would have preferred to beable to start with my next assignment while the one was submitted so while waiting we could work on the next one. I want to further my experience with a class and new students learning different cultures and currently working with young children ensuring different techniques and lesson planning for them.. With my children they prefer work with play.. With the course I have learned how to include fun filled activities to keep the children motivated and enjoy the lessons. I felt this course was a great experience and I would definitely recommend others to take on the course, and a great opportunity for word of mouth to everyone I meet.

I started this program not knowing what to expect. On arrival for the 20hour course I was warmly welcomed and the training is by far the best I have ever received. The online course was not easy but the instructions were clear and the responses from the tutors was quick and insightful. I would highly recommend this to any person wishing to obtain their TEFL certification. The course was extremely in depth and they provide vast amounts of further resources that can be used to gain a clearer understanding of the work covered.

Taking on this Journey was a quick decision and happy I took it on...Like I say if you don't try you never will know.

Since traveling the world to many countries I found languages fascinating. I realized I picked up the basic language quickly no matter where I traveled. Enough to say hello, thank you, I need, I would like, where is etc.

I lived in Chile for a year and picked up the Spanish Language with in 5-6 months and still speak it fluently. I currently speak English, Spanish, Afrikaans and Sign Language.

I love the idea that if you take the trouble to understand that persons language, you are respecting them for trying to speak to them and understand their culture. They in return respect you back knowing its not your first language, friendships form.

The course was very challenging, but it gave me many more great ideas when it comes to any type of teachings in general. It teaches one to use their initiative, research and network further.

There is so much to learn in each world of any type of subject. I look forward to starting my journey soon to teaching in various countries.

The units were easy to follow with many more self reads and further teaching materials.

The support team is efficient and fast at getting back to any queries.

I recommend this course to anyone that loves to work and teach children, young learners and adults. This is a great way to further ones career in the language and to make friends all over the world. Teaching another person grows their knowledge. Knowledge is Power!

I really enjoyed the course so so much and really didn't expect the in dept detail that I learned.
Every Unit has it's own challenges, but it really helped so much that I knew that if ever I needed help, I can just Email The TEFL Academy and a someone will be able to assist me.
The level of information in this course is really interesting and I learnt so so much of things I never knew and that will help me in my way forward in the EFL career.
Every unit also has a further Reading section were you can read up a bit more if you need more info and that helps alot.

My experience with tefl has been great. I learned a lot of new things and i found the course easy enough. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to work overseas or teach online.

The staff was also very very helpful. And they solved my problems quickly and they were very friendly.

The assignments were easy to understand and I always knew what to do. I also got my marks back quickly and the feedback was very helpfu. Its stressful to wait for the marks but when you pass its the greatest feeling.

This course was far more in depth than I expected making me more than prepared to start teaching English as a foreign language. I am so confident in the skills I have learnt. The course is easy to navigate through and I found the content very interesting. At the end of the course, I was provided with suggestions about how and where to find a job, as well as tips for how to write up a CV and cover letter which have been incredibly helpful. I will definitely take some short, specialized courses with The TEFL Academy in the future.
