Combined Level 5 TEFL Course in South Africa

I really enjoyed the course so so much and really didn't expect the in dept detail that I learned.
Every Unit has it's own challenges, but it really helped so much that I knew that if ever I needed help, I can just Email The TEFL Academy and a someone will be able to assist me.
The level of information in this course is really interesting and I learnt so so much of things I never knew and that will help me in my way forward in the EFL career.
Every unit also has a further Reading section were you can read up a bit more if you need more info and that helps alot.

My experience with tefl has been great. I learned a lot of new things and i found the course easy enough. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to work overseas or teach online.

The staff was also very very helpful. And they solved my problems quickly and they were very friendly.

The assignments were easy to understand and I always knew what to do. I also got my marks back quickly and the feedback was very helpfu. Its stressful to wait for the marks but when you pass its the greatest feeling.

This course was far more in depth than I expected making me more than prepared to start teaching English as a foreign language. I am so confident in the skills I have learnt. The course is easy to navigate through and I found the content very interesting. At the end of the course, I was provided with suggestions about how and where to find a job, as well as tips for how to write up a CV and cover letter which have been incredibly helpful. I will definitely take some short, specialized courses with The TEFL Academy in the future.

I had great fun in the practical component of the course held over a weekend in January. Additionally, the online course opened my eyes to pathways. It provided a great foundation for learning, with a vast knowledge base to take advantage for future research. I quite enjoyed the extra resources provided, ranging from youtube videos on classroom behaviour to language acquisition techniques. It also provided a great refresh on my own grammar knowledge, which I found extremely useful. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.

I recently completed the Level 5 TEFL 168 hour course - I loved the experience. There was a good balance between theory and application both in the course content and the assignments. I am a qualified teacher but this course still challenged me especially on the lesson planning side and in ways of creatively achieving learning objectives. The course was well-supported by TEFL and I felt confident studying remotely. I have signed up for the Business English module and look forward to completing that soon, too!

This was a professional and well organized course that was both informative and useful. I had a thoroughly good experience. The course meticulously works through all that you need to know to teach both online or overseas and provides a certificate that is respected. The certificate is, honestly, a requirement if you wish to get a decent job - any job that does not require this, or an equivalent, certificate is most likely a scam and I advise caution.

It is also quite affordable as long as you wait for a special!

I am really happy I have completed the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs). I am also happy I chose to do the combined option. I enjoyed the interaction with people of all ages, cultures and experience over the face-to-face week-end. I chose to do the face-to face week-end before I had even started with the first Unit, which gave me a good overall idea of what I was going to study. Having finished high school almost 40 years ago, I initially found the online component quite challenging. However, I soon learnt to navigate my way through all the technology and work through the different units with easy as the setting out and structure of each unit was well laid out. I also really enjoyed the activities given within the units and found the course material to be very interesting. The assignments were challenging for me but I really learnt so much whilst doing them. It is never too late to challenge yourself in learning new skills. I would recommend and encourage anyone interested in teaching English to foreign students to enroll with TEFL Academy. Thank you TEFL Academy for the great experience.

I did this course as I want to teach online English. At first I thought the course content was super easy as I went through the units with a breeze!!! But then came the assignments and wow, what a challenge!!! I've learnt more about English as language in this course than what I did in my 12 years of school!!!
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is serious about teaching English to foreigners as you would definitely learn things about English you'd never known.
