I just completed my 168 hour course and I enjoyed the course. I learnt a lot. It was very well structured, informative and quite challenging. They covered all the aspects of not only teaching but also the history of the language which I found very interesting.The online platform was really easy to use and the support response was very quick. The weekend course was also really great. I came out of my shell and learnt about different ways to teach.It was worth every cent. I highly recommend doing this course with the Tefl Academy

I really enjoyed following the online course. The website and structure of the course is user-friendly and easy to navigate even if you are a novice at online learning. The course material and assignments are challenging and completing the course gives you a feeling of accomplishment - as if you have done a worthwhile qualification! I am excited to start applying my newly acquired skills and knowledge! I initially did the course to focus on online teaching, but now that I am looking at all the possibilities I have to admit that travelling overseas to teach is very tempting :-)

What would you improve about this program?

Perhaps build an online teaching experience / practical assignment into the online course.

The Tefl Combined level 5 course equips one with the opportunity to touch lives and to travel as well as reach out to people from all over the world via online teaching. Having to enrol with Tefl academy improved my knowledge and enriched me with knowledge of a variety of resources I can use for my classes.

The Combined Level 5 Course group sessions equipped me with better methods of approaching students whose first language is not English; I was also prepared to teach learners from different cultural backgrounds and at different levels. Through studying with Tefl, I learnt a variety of teaching methods and materials that I can use to teach students with different learning styles and at different cognitive levels. I now feel very confident and ready to start my career as a Tefl teacher.

What was your funniest moment?

The funniest moment was the group sessions where people shared their experiences and where the facilitator shared with the group his own oversees teaching experience.

I heard about the TEFL course through a family member and could not wait to get started as I saw the success she had with her TEFL course. This is such an amazing platform to be given this opportunity and to be able to manage it on your own and on your own time. I really had an awesome experience and would recommend the TEFL course far and wide as I believe it is something that everyone should know about and be able to experience. Thank you for this opportunity and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

The most nerve-racking moment for me was when I had to complete the assignments and struggled to finish them or really understand them. I overcame this by going through my notes and asking a fellow TEFL course student for some advise.

I had an awesome time whilst finishing my Tefl online course. I heard about this amazing opportunity via a family member. I was thrilled to be able to do this on my own time and online as I was at the time busy doing my degree in Education. It was challenging having to cope with two things at the same time but the TEFL company made it manageable. I will definitely be recommending this course to a lot of people. I believe it is life changing and opens up so many doors for a person. I cannot wait to see what the future hols

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I would use my time more wisely and plan better so I wouldn't struggle in the end to finish my assignments.

I had a fascinating experience with the TEFL Academy. I had no problem navigating through, and understanding the course. The instructions were clear and the online platform was user friendly. The course was really engaging and the feedback was rewarding. It has, without a shadow of doubt, afforded me a great platform to confidently teach English in a school setting in the future.

The Tefl academy was super helpful! I had a lot of fun learning at the academy with the teacher! She was super helpful and made the course fun! The online sessions were also very easy and straight forward. You can do them with ease! Though the marking i felt was a little strict. I did enjoy the online presentations and mini videos as well as examples! I have already recommend my friends to do the course and several have signed up to do it! They also enjoyed the courses! Im really excited to continue to use these skills to teach further overseas

What would you improve about this program?

The end of each test would be nice to allow is to print out incase we want to review our marks for future memory.

Our course trainer, Bee was so helpful during the face-to-face classroom sessions and provided us with relevant material and extremely helpful advice. During the online course, the tutors also offered great assistance in order for me to do well in my assignments. They would also provide feedback in a timeous manner, giving you sufficient time to make corrections. This course is definitely well worth the money and I would definitely recommend this course to any person who is looking for something different yet challenging.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I would not waste time at the beginning. I would get started as soon as possible. Mainly because the assignments are quite time-consuming.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

The one piece of advice I would give is to plan ahead and to do your best. Worrying and stressing won't help you. The resources, as well as the markers, are there to assist and help you achieve your best. Planning ahead is beneficial as you do not want to get stuck with a pile of work and then have to ask for an extension. Just do your absolute best and you will reap the rewards.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

The TEFL course spanned over a period of 6 months which gave me ample time to complete my course accordingly. Some units take more time than others to complete, but if you plan and stick to that plan, you will not have a problem. The TEFL site also makes it easy and exciting to learn so that you do not get bored or frustrated during your study session.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

I have no been abroad yet for TEFL teaching, but I am surely looking into it. I would love to travel to Asia, as I have been to India once and I absolutely loved it. I would like to visit Japan, South Korea, and China as a TEFL teacher and hopefully start my career there. I look forward to new experiences and challenges.

Any other tips for any prospective traveler?

India is a fantastic country, not quite like what I initially perceived it to be. The people are genuine and the country itself is a true wonder. My advice to anyone traveling there is to absorb as much as he/she/they can. India is rich with culture and history, full of diversity. Visiting places such as the Taj Mahal brings a totally different feeling, the atmosphere is spectacular. India is a beautiful country and so are its people.
