Combined Level 5 TEFL Course in South Africa

I am really happy I have completed the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs). I am also happy I chose to do the combined option. I enjoyed the interaction with people of all ages, cultures and experience over the face-to-face week-end. I chose to do the face-to face week-end before I had even started with the first Unit, which gave me a good overall idea of what I was going to study. Having finished high school almost 40 years ago, I initially found the online component quite challenging. However, I soon learnt to navigate my way through all the technology and work through the different units with easy as the setting out and structure of each unit was well laid out. I also really enjoyed the activities given within the units and found the course material to be very interesting. The assignments were challenging for me but I really learnt so much whilst doing them. It is never too late to challenge yourself in learning new skills. I would recommend and encourage anyone interested in teaching English to foreign students to enroll with TEFL Academy. Thank you TEFL Academy for the great experience.

I did this course as I want to teach online English. At first I thought the course content was super easy as I went through the units with a breeze!!! But then came the assignments and wow, what a challenge!!! I've learnt more about English as language in this course than what I did in my 12 years of school!!!
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is serious about teaching English to foreigners as you would definitely learn things about English you'd never known.

The course proved to be a bit more challenging than I expected (which is a good thing). Although my language has always been one of my top skills, I have learnt so much and expanded my knowledge about language during this course. The assingments are great, although they are a bit tuff and help a lot in order to fully understand lesson planning - making it so much easier when you have to do it for work. It is definitely worth paying a bit more to do the longer course (168 hour, level 5) through The TEFL Academy! It's the only one i would recommend.

I have recently completed the level 5 (168 hours) Tefl course. I would highly recommend this course to those who are interested in teaching English as a foreign language. I found the course content vast, quite detailed and interesting on all levels. The tutors was extremely helpful, professional and willing to assist at all times. I particularly enjoyed being able to work through the modules at my own pace and found the activities at the end of the modules really helpful. The Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) is compiled in a way which is easy to understand, comprehensive, resourceful and incredibly informative for anyone wanting to pursue teaching ESL. I had a great time learning of different ways to teach and interact with people of different backgrounds and levels of studying English. Working overseas also gives you an opportunity to travel, experience different cultures and different ways of living. I highly recommend this course for anyone wanting to become and ESL teacher.

Starting the TEFL Combined level 5 course was very exciting, I was very amped up and got really excited after completing each test after every module. The online instructions guide's very well and easy to follow. My advice is once you start your assignment don't waste time to complete them, they might seem difficult but once completed and you reflect back you will find your self actually think well that was easy. :-) Great study platform @The TELF Academy.

This is the perfect TEFL course for anyone looking to teach online or in a foreign country. Easy to use interface, can be used on all mobile devices so you can complete your TEFL course on the go. The course also provides loads of additional helpful material and links to teaching aids that you can make use of while teaching. The end of unit tests provide good coverage of the material contained in each unit. The test questions are direct and unambiguous. The assignments are fun to complete and allow for individual creativity.

I am currently studying bachelor of education in foundation phase but wanted to have a TEFL certificate as they work hand in hand and eill help me achieve my future planned adventures.I began my TEFL course in July and have just successfully completed it! The assignments were quite different to the usual because I had older people in mind instead of my usual 9 year olds! I have nkt begun travelling yet but I can't wait to use my TEFL certificate be it overseas in the future or online for now! - Meg
