Our Combined Level 5 TEFL Certificate (168 hours) is regulated by Ofqual (UK) and approved by the DEAC (US), so has official recognition from 2 government-recognised bodies! This makes all the difference when applying for jobs.

Our course is designed with potential employers in mind. Within the industry, some employers prefer “hands-on” study rather than purely online. Amazing course and great course work! Everything you need to know is covered and the work is easy to understand and follow. The way the course book is set out In a way that allows you to see your progress as you go along with the course. Each unit is unique and allows you to learn various different lessons as well as various ways to make use of your lessons both in a classroom and online. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to pursue a career in teaching English online or in another country!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Definitely make use of your time wisely and don’t be afraid to ask for help!

The TEFL Academy

My experience with The TEFL Academy has been unique.
I had been assisted in many ways when I needed help or clarity.
The level of work t ensures the person studying to become an ESL educator has met all the requirements . The TEFL Academy even assists their students with finding jobs once they have completed their course. I personally feel that The TEFL Academy is THE BEST online learning platform to obtain a TEFL certificate.
The TEFL Academy is an authentic website and I would 10/10 recommend The TEFL Academy to anyone who needs to complete their TEFL Certificate.

What would you improve about this program?
I would suggest that students still have access to materials once they have completed the course .

Best value for money to become an expert teacher!

This course is worth every penny - within two weeks of completing it I was able to secure my first job teaching online!
The course itself is challenging but the content is incredibly informative and the tutors are always willing to help and provide detailed feedback on your assignments.
The course prepared me more than enough to create fun and exciting lessons for my students, and I’m grateful for the job resource unit which helped me apply for teaching positions which legitimate companies.

LOVE THE TEFL COURSE FROM THE TEFL ACADEMY

I took quite a while deciding what career I wanted to go into, however I have always had a great passion for teaching. I decided to proceed with the course through the TEFL Academy to kick off my career in teaching and also to travel! I have only completed the course within this year but cannot wait to start applying for the many jobs available on the TEFL website!

I loved this course and it was a great help! The content is very clear and is easy to follow, this is a very user friendly course and I personally think one of the best TEFL courses offered!

What would you improve about this program?
I would just like for the prorgramme to provide the marked assignments to the students instead of just the comments provided in order to see where marks have been lost.

Personally I think this is an excellent course and well worth the cost especially since theres often discounts. Support and feedback on this is excellent. The course material covers everything needed in a way that will not overwhelm you. Overall it's worth doing. It opens up a world of opportunities and will ensure life experience for all those who want to travel or simply work from home. The options are endless. I would recommend this for people of all ages as the site is user friendly as well.

I now have the opportunity to travel to multiple countries and teach English there. Thanks to the TEFL Academy I am also able to have a positive influence on the lives of other people, which is something I am extremely grateful for.
The staff is always available if you need help with something or have any queries and they are always very friendly.

Deciding to take the TEFL Online course from TEFL Academy was one of the best decisions I have made so far.
I had an amazing experience and learned more than I could have imagined.
Help was ALWAYS available when needed and the staff is always super friendly.
So many doors have opened for me by completing this course and I can't thank the TEFL Academy enough. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to travel while making a living. You really can't go wrong with the TEFL Academy.

Why did you choose this program?

The TEFL Academy was recommended to me by a friend who is doing great things with her qualification. Their professionalism ensured that I worked to the best of my ability and their service was excellent. The TEFL Academy has helped many other students, including myself, in achieving their goals and dreams.

What did your program provider (or university) assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?

The TEFL Academy provided me with everything needed to start my career as a TEFL teacher. Their resources were excellent as well as their services. They provided me with sufficient feedback, material and help when I needed it. All that was left for me to do was to apply myself to the best of my ability to pass the course.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

The one piece of advice I would give is to plan ahead and to do your best. Worrying and stressing won't help you. The resources, as well as the markers, are there to assist and help you achieve your best. Planning ahead is beneficial as you do not want to get stuck with a pile of work and then have to ask for an extension. Just do your absolute best and you will reap the rewards.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

The TEFL course spanned over a period of 6 months which gave me ample time to complete my course accordingly. Some units take more time than others to complete, but if you plan and stick to that plan, you will not have a problem. The TEFL site also makes it easy and exciting to learn so that you do not get bored or frustrated during your study session.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

I have no been abroad yet for TEFL teaching, but I am surely looking into it. I would love to travel to Asia, as I have been to India once and I absolutely loved it. I would like to visit Japan, South Korea, and China as a TEFL teacher and hopefully start my career there. I look forward to new experiences and challenges.

Any other tips for any prospective traveler?

India is a fantastic country, not quite like what I initially perceived it to be. The people are genuine and the country itself is a true wonder. My advice to anyone traveling there is to absorb as much as he/she/they can. India is rich with culture and history, full of diversity. Visiting places such as the Taj Mahal brings a totally different feeling, the atmosphere is spectacular. India is a beautiful country and so are its people.
