Teaching internship & TEFL Certification (Thailand, Vietnam, Europe, China, India)

Such a great opportunity at an accessible price for people who would not be able to afford something like this otherwise. It was a great experience of learning to teach whilst also travelling and making new friends. I was lucky enough to teach only 30 minutes away from Chiangmai where I would stay for 4 weeks. Gotoco were only a WhatsApp message anyway whenever I needed them and the host was very welcoming. They organised many day trips throughout my time there such as temple visits and trips to markets and local towns. All around a great experience.

I adored travelling to the many temples around Ubud and engaging in cultural exchanges with local teachers and residents. Travelling to North Bali to swim with dolphins, and to the west of the island to engage in turtle conservation was also really special.
The highlights of the experience for me were being able to teach such impressive and enthusiastic children. Having the space and time to travel around Bali on weekends was also extremely fascinating.
I loved the local programme; it enabled me to gain lots of experience in teaching, the freedom to travel to so many places and see so many things that I would otherwise would have been unable to do.

My Thailand program experience was one of the best experiences of my entire life from all perspectives: people, culture, trips, food and friendships. Working with kids made me realise how much I love working in such environments.
I've experienced plenty of enjoyable moments, but most of them were caused by the random friendships that I made, seeing the happiness on the kids' faces whenever we entered the class and the beach days after school as I was teaching in Phuket.
I've learned a lot about myself, and it helped me improve my organizational and time management skills. Moreover, I've learned how to deal with difficult circumstances and made me build a stronger version of myself.

What is a better holiday than a funded holiday. You will get to know new culture and be able to immerse with local communities, learn a lot of things, eat amazing food and meet people. Constant support and great organisation are just impressive.
I did program in Colombia and I was blown away by how my expectations were crushed. In a good way that left good and unforgettable experience that I needed and loved and I will be taking about these experience for a long time.
I loved the adventure and would love to join in future again.

I found GoToCo through my university freshers fair, and had no idea what to expect. Whilst I know that different trips differ quite significantly (be mindful if you are doing an intense summer camp, for example, for your shift hours) I had a fantastic time in Bali. We were assigned a class for five weeks, teaching English in an after-school club setting for two hours Monday-Friday. For the first two weeks I had the support of an English- speaking teaching assistant, and lesson plans were assigned to us on a weekly basis. Outside of this time, we had the weekends and afternoons off to travel and see more of the island. I met some amazing, like-minded people, many of whom (like myself) would not have been able to afford such an experience without the generous funding. Whilst I would definitely check what your teaching hours/ travel opportunity would be depending on your allocated experience, I would 100% recommended the Bali experience to anyone.

I spent my summer with Gotoco in Thailand and Vietnam. I have had different but equally incredible experiences in both places, it has been one of the best things I have done in terms of fully getting out of my comfort zone - by going far from home all alone, experiencing completely new things (ie teaching), and of course, being able to explore so much. It has been an incredible opportunity to be able to do this particularly due to it being fully funded! Big thanks to the gotoco teams for being super lovely and helpful all the way!

I worked as a camp leader in Hanoi, Vietnam through Gotoco. This a was a truly rewarding experience. The process to sign up was very fast and easy as well. Whilst it was certainly challenging at times, I learnt a lot of new skills in the process and managed to overcome each issue whilst having a great time in an unfamiliar country. I was also able to visit local tourist attractions, try new food and meet many new interesting people. I also taught english in Bali, Indonesia. I started working towards a CertTesol qualification in the process as well.

The program was completely free- the flights, the accomodation, many activities in Bali and the food were payed for by GOTOCO! It was a great opportunity to travel and spend 6 weeks in summer abroad and in such a cool place like Bali . The teaching was incredible and provided me with experience that i can now use in the future. Because of this opportunity i feel better equipped for travel in the future. Further more, the TEFEL opportunity that this program offers is a great way to gain a qualification that can be used in the future.
