Wondrous Experience

I wanted to make use of the time I had at home during lockdown. So, I thought that gaining some experience in my field of interest would have been a good idea. I realized that I had to do remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I searched up, "remote internships", on google and this lead me to AIP. I did some research on the company and decided that I wanted to pursue this internship all the way through.

I have a huge passion for video & photography. For some reason, taking photos and editing videos really narrate a story and I like that feeling. That was the driving force behind my decision to pursue an internship in video & photography. I guess that with the nature of the industry, a lot of the work was already done online and did not require attendance at the office. Regardless, my supervisors were extremely kind and understanding. They taught me the ins and outs of photography and I learned a lot of valuable lessons throughout the course of the internship. I highly recommend doing remote work, as it allows you to solve problems on your own. In a way remote internships really teach you to be an independent individual. Thank you so much AIP for this opportunity!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I think that having a more exact timeline of the assignments would make the experience better.

First online internship!

Went out of my way and finally completed my first online internship! It was honestly nerve-wrecking at first with all the adjustments I had to go through such as working from home instead of the library or actually doing all communications through Skype rather than physically being present. This would also be the first time I've actually used an internship service like AIP as these type of things are usually skeptical. Nonetheless, I was lucky enough to be put with someone who helped me throughout the whole process and kept me in check. One thing I would like to commend AIP for is that they are very understanding and flexible with schedules and whatnot. I've encountered multiple complications where I wasn't able to make payments on time but they were very understanding and kind. Really thankful to AIP!

Don't be afraid to try new things even if they seem sketchy! Always ask questions and make sure you know what you're getting yourself into.

Kudos to an amazing experience!

I'm always one for new experience and doing a remote internship was definitely one the greatest ones. It's obviously not the best for some people since you'd just be at home doing work, but as someone who's a homebody and prefers working at home, I absolutely loved it. I must give credit to the company I worked for as my supervisor was very understanding and helpful throughout the duration of my 4 month internship. Massive thanks to AIP as well for putting out a great program for me and finding the right company that will definitely help me out in the future!

I've already applied for another remote internship with AIP and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
If I had spoken to my colleagues more often, I'm pretty we would've been closed. A missed opportunity that I won't miss next time.

Learned a lot of valuable lessons!

I was extremely free during the summer and wanted to kill time by doing something that was worthwhile. Due to the pandemic, I was not available to actually do an internship abroad. However, I found the next best thing. AIP's remote internship program was extremely worthwhile and the work experience I got will always be valuable to me.

I did an internship in business development. At first, I had my doubts. I thought the method was rather unorthodox, so to speak. I have never been so wrong. I was able to meet clients, colleagues, and other fellow interns virtually. Work hours were rather flexible as long as I completed my assignment on time. There truly is a silver lining in everything and what the pandemic has shown, is how we can succeed from a laptop and good connection. I enjoyed every bit of this experience. Thank you so much, AIP.

What would you improve about this program?
I would wish the AIP employees were more friendly and less tight, but nonetheless had no issues!

My remote internship experience

I went through a 2 month remote internship with a company based in Singapore and I couldn't be more happy with the team I worked with and for AIP. I was lucky enough to find professional experience even with the craziness going around the world and it's honestly thanks to my parents for pushing me to go out of my way to explore even when I'm just at home. The initial process was hard in terms of adjusting to working at home and fixing a schedule but it slowly became better and I'm starting to like working at home instead of going to the office or the school to do actual work.

I'm really looking forward to doing more remote-based work in the future! Stay safe everyone!

My experience at home..

The pandemic hit the whole world during the time that I had to find internships and it gave me anxiety leaving me scared that I wouldn't be able to acquire the credits needed to graduate. Luckily enough, the university allowed for remote internships to be counted for credits and thus I searched around and found AIP.

Looking into the reviews and testimonials really helped me make the decision to apply and I don't really have any regrets to this day. My point of contact, Vlad, was very helpful in explaining everything and making sure I knew what I was getting myself into. The process of getting a remote internship was easy as well since I didn't have to deal with visa's and traveling. My coworkers and supervisor were very kind and welcomed me to the team despite being miles away.

I will always be grateful for the experience given to me!

What would you improve about this program?
The application form was somewhat confusing at first and took me a couple of hours to get through it.

Thank you to AIP!

Months ago, I stumbled upon AIP and I was immediately drawn into the program as they looked reliable and safe. I did a remote internship with a Korean company for 2 months and it was basically a emotional roller coaster. Things were difficult in the beginning in terms of communicating with my supervisor as it was difficult to understand their accent. But as time went on, it became a lot easier and I actually got to meet a lot of colleagues and learn a lot during my time with the company. AIP really did come through with this internship and I'm really grateful for everything.

What would you improve about this program?
Having the option to choose a specific country even for a remote internship would've made this perfect.

Not the most familiar but it was worthwhile

I initially wanted an internship abroad in video & production. Due to the pandemic, I was unable to travel overseas but I found the next best thing. I learned about AIP's remote internship program early on and I immediately switched to do a remote internship. I was very keen on getting the experience needed and even though I was not too familiar with the process, I enjoyed it nonetheless.

The nature of the video & production industry relies heavily on technology and with access to a computer and the internet, anything was possible. My mentors were really understanding and patient with me. They taught me the ins & outs of the company and how they operated. The "work hours" weren't too strict either.

What would you improve about this program?
I would definitely would like to know the exact schedules for remote internships.
