Response from Asia Internship Program (AIP)
Dear Rebecca,
Thank you very much for your review and feedback on our program. We are very sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with our services. Please allow us to address the points that you have mentioned.
After your first week, you have expressed your concerns regarding your internship experience where we have responded to you and contacted your host company to identify the issues in an attempt to solve them. Throughout the process, we have been in constant contact with you and also presented with the possibility of a new placement in the case that the communication with the company would not have improved.
After multiple emails and follow up for nearly 3 weeks without a response from your side, we have received contact from your host company that you have left the company without notice. You have informed them various reasons for leaving but mainly was because of your financial situation where you have found an alternative work that offers a more generous compensation.
We understand that an internship abroad comes with a high financial burden. Unfortunately, we simply cannot guarantee any remuneration for the internship and we have clearly expressed that to you throughout your application process before you have made any payment to AIP.
Due to the lack of communication on your side, we were not aware that the office address change has significantly affected your commute as you have only raised this concern after you have left the company which was too late for us to rectify the issue.
For the visa information, we also have not been informed about your difficulties until after you have left the host company. We have also directly clarified your concerns that you have raised regarding the H1 visa.
Sadly, we were not aware of most of your concerns until it was too late to remedy them and wish we could’ve done more to be of your assistance. We welcome you to contact us directly if you have any further feedback or if we could be of help to you.
We are very happy that you have found another opportunity that you find to be more fruitful and rewarding. We hope you have a great experience for the rest of your stay in South Korea and wish you every success in your future endeavors.
Warmest regards,
AIP Team
