New York Internships with Beyond Academy

My time in NYC through Beyond Academy was perfect, they have every step well thought out with loads of support along the way, especially from the programme leaders in the city, and those behind the scenes also! I was placed with a brilliant, well establish immigration law firm in FiDi and it Will be amazing for my CV and general life experience. I lived in an amazing accommodation with direct, fast links to everywhere in the city and plenty of shops and resturaunts on my doorstep. I couldn’t fault Beyond Academy for any of the process, they were brilliant.

I had a great time this summer with beyond academy. I was able to boost my resume in one of the best cities in the world with New York, all while getting to have the most fun I’ve had any summer. It’s a win win and there is no other way to put it! Love this program and highly recommend it! My internship is experience that was very useful and will help me in my future because I was doing actual work, not just busy work. I also made friends that will stay with my for the rest of my life and the community advisors are the best people ever!

I went on an internship with beyond academy for 6 weeks in NYC and honestly it has been the best experience of my life. The community team is amazing, they made sure that everything was as planned, all the activities were super fun and it was great meeting so many people from all over the world. Yes it is expensive but it is 100% worth it. It was my first time travelling alone and my first time doing an internship and I will never forget this experience, I made friends that I will keeping in contact with and overall the memories I made will stay with me forever.

Beyond Academy gives college students the opportunity to have an unforgettable experience in a new place as well as concrete work experience both for a more complete resume and sharper skills to apply in your career. I met some amazing people and developed a great relationship with my host company. If you need an internship, a new and unfamiliar setting to promote growth, or a new group of friends beyond academy is the place to put your trust in. It challenged me to adapt quickly, build confidence, and gain valuable experience that will benefit me long after the internship ended.

They try their best to accommodate, help, and socialize as much as they can. Obviously, they can’t accommodate for everything, but they try their best to find good living conditions. Mine were pretty good, it was just the people that were living with me that I sometimes wouldn’t see eye-to-eye with, which isn’t their fault. The activities were engaging and fun, and the various workshops they held were also very intriguing and fun. The city was a vibe and the employees were very helpful, even with problems they didn’t necessarily have to concern themselves with.

Spending 8 weeks in New York through Beyond Academy was such a valuable experience for me. The internship placement was well-suited to my interests, and the team I worked with was welcoming and made sure I learned a lot during my time there.

I stayed in Brooklyn and met so many people from different backgrounds, and the weekly activities that Beyond organised gave us opportunities to explore NYC together. This program gave me both professional growth and personal memories I’ll never forget. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting and supportive internship abroad.

I found Beyond Academy to be a super helpful experience for both my social life and career. Through my internship, I have a better idea of what I want to do and decided on the industry I’d pursue. Additionally, I met many great, unique people that taught me a lot about ambition and work-life balance. However, the program was sloppy and unorganized at times. In the beginning, I was urged to pay a lot of money before I met with the instructor, which I didn’t feel comfortable with. While I got lucky with my internship, my friends got internships where they didn’t really do anything all day, and one of them had to go to an apartment for her office. I think putting in more effort to screen companies as well as trying to get better internships would go a long way. Despite the shortcomings, I want to stress that the program was a great learning opportunity, and I feel more ambitious and self-sufficient as a result.
