Go!

In all honesty, my experience was so wonderful I don't even know how to put it in words. It was without a doubt the greatest experience of my life.
If you ever have the opportunity, don't even hesitate, go! Going to Ireland was absolutely life changing for me. I had the opportunity to travel throughout the country and it was more gorgeous than I had imagined. Going out in the wold by myself helped me to discover more about myself, become more outgoing and develop new friendships.
Everyone in Ireland is extremely friendly and fascinated by Americans. Take the time to chat with them, you will learn more about the country, what to see and what to do.
If you're contemplating whether or not to go to Ireland, go. Don't even question it.

Great Experience

This program is really great! They allow you a great amount of freedom while also being there when every you need them. There were few surprises because the CISabroad staff prompted us on the community. The mandarin classes were fun and challenging, I loved going to them. The International Business classes were also fun and exciting. Make sure you go out into the city and explore everything you can!

What would you improve about this program?
We had trouble with the laundry at first because we weren't told how that would be done. I think the program should include things like that in the extra expenses so that students are prepared.

Planes, trains, and automobiles

Considering the fact that the trip allowed for me to visit four different places in just 2 1/2 months, I would say the excursions were well planned, the housing convenient and the staff very friendly.
The only critiques I would make would be for the Ireland and Scotland portion, emphasize the amount of money that will be spent on food given the fact that the first two weeks are spent hostel hopping and having to eat while at museums or other excursions that cause prices to increase. Also, for this portion of the trip I would suggest providing more information for why each planned excursion is relevant to the course. Everyday was loaded with excursions and trips, which was amazing, I just know that with tiredness comes moodiness and a lot of people probably would have been more responsive if they knew why the excursions were important/relevant.
For the Spain portion of the trip, I would suggest making classes Monday-Friday but ending at 2pm. While 9-4 M-Th. was nice, by the time you got back to your apartment and finished homework, all you wanted to do was sleep. Also, we had planned and already paid excursions on the weekends yet no one wanted to go on those because we felt we didn't have enough time to explore Barcelona. Making classes end at 2 but go M-F would fix that issue.

Barcelona- Cis

The most important part of my studying abroad was the people I met, I still talk to them all the time and were meeting up in January for New Years. Barcelona was an amazing place and there was always something to do.

"There's No Place I'd Rather Be"

The Ireland/ Scotland portion of this program is absolutely crazy, you see so much in two weeks. I wish Dr. H had given us information sheets so we knew what was coming up next and there was a lot of travel time, but overall I got to see an insane amount of attractions in 14 days.

London was amazing. There's so much to do and the classes are more stable but still very fun. We go on excursions but there's a ton of free time to really explore.

Spain was my absolute favorite. It's the most flexible in terms of doing things on your own, there's so much to see and it's all so wonderful. The classes are a bit more rigorous but you need it to communicate so it's directly useful. I loved Spain so much, my friends from the trip constantly complain that we're not there still!

What would you improve about this program?
More direction and organization for Ireland/ Scotland. Dr. H gave us the prompts for a ridiculous amount of essays at the bottom of our London portion and it was due right when us lucky few who continued to Spain got back to the states.

Unfortunate and unusual circumstances.

It is hard for me to adequately review my experience. I went 2 weeks without power at my apartment. My first internship was at a museum with 13 other interns where a staff of 3 people oversaw us. Although, CIS reassigned me a new internship and reimbursed me for my time without power. It was very stressful and extra expensive. I am glad for the for the growth and learning experiences. However, the trip kind of sucked.

What would you improve about this program?
Obviously, make sure that the land lord pays the electric bill and do extra research on how many interns to employee ration.

Westminster Abroad

The school was really good. My classes were difficult, but very helpful. Everyone on the staff was extremely nice, and willing to help with everything! They helped with getting you started out, like how to learn the tube, and I also loved how they picked us up at the airport, so that way we didn't have to learn the tube on our own right away, lugging all of our stuff. Student housing was in a great place! It was in central London, so everything was easily accessible, and there were a ton of places to easily go to. Almost everyone in the dorms were exchange students, so it was easy to get to know everyone, and everyone was willing to get to know everyone! The program also organized some fun events, like going to see different plays, like Wicked. This program was honestly one of the best!

What would you improve about this program?
The housing conditions were nice, but not great. Maybe fix them up a little bit!

Fantastic Summer in Rome

The program CISabroad provided the best for housing, academics, and the social scene. Our student apartment was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The American University of Rome had great professors and was a short distance from where we lived. The area that we lived in was safe and provided the cultural immersion that I wanted. It was also close to center city Rome as well as the social scene of Rome. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better program to go through!

What would you improve about this program?
The program could be improved by having more support in terms of what to do on weekends. They told us we could ask if we needed help, but a paper with different recommended site and cities to visit would've been helpful!

Intern in Dublin!

CISAbroad was extremely helpful during my entire 8-week experience in Dublin, Ireland. My on-site program coordinator wanted to know how my internship was going and would take all of the interns out to dinner and on excursions to make our experience amazing. I had a few challenges with my housing, it was CISAbroad's first time using the apartments that I lived in. Although it was at the perfect location, we had a few problems with our electricity and our housing would not fix it. CIS took all of the necessary steps to make sure we were all comfortable and reimbursed us for our troubles! With the money I received back from rent, I was able to go skydiving on my last week in Ireland! Overall, my experience with CISAbroad and Dublin was a 10/10 and I wouldn't change anything!

What would you improve about this program?
I loved this program. We had many excursions all over Ireland, some overnight, and some just day trips. We visited the Cliffs of Moher and Galway, Kilkenny and Wicklow county, and Belfast in Northern Ireland. I would have loved to go out of the country on a planned all-inclusive excursion with my CISAbroad program coordinator and all of the other interns. However, it just was not in the budget, which is understanding.

Overview of semester in London

The semester at University of Westminster was awesome. The fact that the university was in the heart of the city was ideal. The living situation was perfect and I loved that the dorms were full of international kids from all over the world and not just from the United States. I lived in Alexander Fleming Hall and I loved that the security was 24/7. There were few struggles seeing as there was no language barrier and there was no reason to ever get bored in London-the city was much bigger than I thought it would be which ended up being a positive.

What would you improve about this program?
Nothing.
