Thinking of my startup as an engineer

i graduated from the university of Munich in Germany in 2024 and for about a year I took an internship in the Germany in a company of construction, but was never as practical as my recent experience in China with Go Abroad China. i enrolled in the program in September, 2025 and it has been just a week i returned back to Germany. I am thinking of starting my own startup instead of looking for a job, but i am sure after my experience and time in China there is %300 chance i can get a job here without any headaches. Thanks to Go Abroad China

South Korea vs China IT

i have not been to China in my entire life, even though everyone in the university and our class was talking of going there, for IT Consultant internship, if you know the Yonsei university form where i graduated with 3.9 GPA , then you can understand my situation and i was really eager to get even specialized in IT i joined the Go Abroad China IT & AI internship in late 2025 & completed in January 2026 and i was placed in tech company which was a startup and that was where i got lucky and since it was startup i think it was a best time of learning and executing. I rate the growth there 5 since it was a startup and support from them was great. i can say i retuned back home with practical experience of my IT career

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
i trust it was every Chinese food that i haven't tried in my home country South Korea
Pros
  • Startup placement with real growth
  • airport pick up and visa support

China is actually good at politics

As a third year politics student and a heritage with going to China and exploring it's culture and working environment i was really impressed by that, ok on social media we were seeing the face of china that we usually see, but if you get into it internally you'll see what's actually going on. I think I want to be diplomat in the China to experience real politics and international relations. I was placed in such a perfect place where I learned more things perfectly and thanks to my program provider, we have a whole video recorded along the way uploaded to my channel and it had more engagement.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
Surprising things i saw was the real Chinese people, they are calm, welcoming, comfortable and more good vibes giving.
Pros
  • as international student you will love your career related things
  • city exploring
  • food too

If you do it in China there's 99% chance

As a Junior Financial Analyst and undergraduate with 3.8 GPA it took me 1 and a half year I think to secure a job. Even though I graduated with a higher GPA it was hard for me to get a job here in Spain and I literally wasted one year of my life searching and developing skills I didn't really have to, but all I needed was a practical experience with real data, numbers and office.

Thanks to Go Abroad China I was able to secure job within 2 months of returning back to my home country after doing a finance internship in China. Everything went smoothly and I was placed in a city bank and I was able to develop real world and why I choose China is because it lives in the future, and every task would be challenging and motivating. Just one note, this business training could be improved even more to give a little more clear details of the host company and it'll help stranger like me to fit in a little fast.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
my advice would be to go and develop real world skills, don't just take city tours and Chinese adventures but make sure while returning you have real world skills to show and achieve what you want from that.
Pros
  • easy placing process a
  • visa and airport pick up was helpful for someone like me
  • fast support, clear and on time communication
Cons
  • just I think giving a little more information about the host company would help

Sarah's Review

I actually got good at marketing so I will give 4 for the growth and 4 for the support and I am thinking of giving it overall 4 stars. There is something that I have always loved about China was it's rapidly growing economy and their unique business structures. As a Marketing intern in the Chinese manufacturing company, I really experienced a new way of marketing in such a growing and competing market where everyone tries to get deals closed, customers satisfied. As my intern life in there, I developed how to win in such market, I attended events and meeting with other experienced interns. I would say as an intern you will love learning the language and exploring their rich culture, since it's not just about working.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
i would say umm it was the tall building i saw since it was my first time there.
Pros
  • real career growth + real responsibilities
  • language learning opportunity + exploring culture
  • working at fast growing and competing market

As a law student aiming for an international career

As a law student aiming for an international career, this internship in Shanghai was invaluable. I was placed at a well-regarded firm specializing in cross-border commercial law. My days were filled with substantive work: assisting with legal research for overseas clients, drafting sections of memoranda, and sitting in on client consultations. The attorneys took mentorship seriously and were always willing to explain the nuances of Chinese legal frameworks. GAC's support was seamless—they navigated the complex visa process for me and found a convenient apartment in the city. Beyond the office, living in Shanghai was exhilarating.

program was the perfect blend of

This program was the perfect blend of learning and adventure. We'd spend a few weeks studying Mandarin intensively in Beijing, then pack our bags and travel to places like Xi'an and Chengdu, where our lessons continued amidst ancient history and pandas! It wasn't a passive tour; we practiced our Chinese with vendors at the Terracotta Army site and learned calligraphy from local masters. GAC handled every single detail—trains, hotels, unique cultural activities—so we could just soak it all in. I loved the camaraderie of our small group and the freedom to explore.

Pros
  • yummy food
  • supportive team
  • good language

I was placed with a respected manufacturing

I was placed with a respected manufacturing firm where I got to work directly on production line optimization projects. It wasn't just theory—I was in workshops, troubleshooting real issues with the engineers, and seeing how global supply chains actually work on the ground. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with my learning curve. GAC made sure my visa and housing were sorted before I even arrived, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. From Hello to talking

This HSK preparation program was intensely focused and incredibly effective. My personalized study plan at the Beijing language institute targeted my weak points, and the small, drill-oriented classes made a huge difference. The rotating teachers kept the material engaging and exposed me to different accents and teaching styles. Beyond the classroom, GAC’s organized cultural activities provided a necessary mental break and practical language application. Chinese somehow looks hard, but if you focus and listen +Practice you can achieve more.
