Best tour to see Cambodia

The Cambodia tour is filled with activities. You are busy each day, from playing on the beach to exploring Angkor Wat, you will definitely see and learn a lot about this beautiful country. The country has a dark past and you will learn about this too when you visit it S21 killing fields. We also go to a beautiful island to just relax on the beach during the day and party at night. the tour guide, Seyha, goes above and beyond to cater to the needs of the people on the tour. He loves to have fun, he has a lot of energy. when I needed something from the pharmacy, he helped me. When people on the tour want to party, he will take you to the best night clubs. I had so much fun on the tour, I decided to come back to Cambodia my own to explore more.

An authentic and generous guide makes a good tour great!

TruTravels has designed an amazing tour that takes you all the way from Siem Reap to Koh Rong Sanloem, including various stops and stays in Phnom Penh and Kampot on the way. The activities are a brilliant mix of culture, nature and crazy fun – the schedule is spot-on too. But what really sets this tour apart is Seyha Chuon. He's not just any tour guide who goes through the motions; he's incessantly upbeat and positive, curious, insightful and caring. He's attentive without being overbearing, and anticipates everything from seasickness to snack attacks. He's generous with his own stories of growing up in Cambodia and his own family's reality of the Khmer Rouge, which helped us process the haunting tour of S21 and the Choeung Ek Genocidal Center. In the midst of that heart-wrenching experience and later during a rather bumpy boat trip in a rainstorm, his constant smile reminded us all that life is (and in particular, holidays are) for big laughs. And music and food – lots of local food. In addition to sharing street food and unfamiliar fruits with us so we might give them a go, Seyha's sensitive guidance kept us and our possessions safe, and he hooked us up with every convenience from SIM cards and haircuts, as well as a few extras such as fortune-telling sessions and exclusive pool parties. In short, he's an outstanding ambassador for TruTravels – and the Kingdom of Cambodia!

Vietnam Explorer

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Vietnam with Tru Travels from start to finish. It had a bit of everything. The war museum provided a great history and understanding of the country we were traveling and was a great way to start our trip. There was an adequate mix of activities and partying which suited every one of the 20 members of our group. The tour guide Edna was brilliant and I felt as if we have all become friends throughout our 17 days together. Edna was professional at all times, helping people out when needed with whatever they needed (Visa extensions or just helping out one of the injured members of our group who unfortunately picked up an infection along the way) Other than that she was always there with us partying, doing the additional included activities with us and always taking top quality snaps of each day to Capture our unforgettable experience in Vietnam.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
I saw a fully roasted dog on the street which was very surprising as obviously us Western people keep dogs as pets

Amazing trip

I had the best time on this trip everything was so well orginised and Ednas time management skills were on point! The variety of places and things we did and saw were amazing!!! We met amazing people and travelled to amazing places! I can't get over how much we saw in the 17 days! I didn't realise the extent of the history Vietnam has and how beautiful some of the places we stayed were! I found myself happy the whole time because I had no stress as everything is orginised and all I had to do was go along with the plan it was so enjoyable to just be able to relax and enjoy my holiday! Big love to Edna and my new Tru travels family ♥️

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
The war museum was so eye opening to see the devastating effects the war had on the whole country and how it still continues to effect people to this day

Loved it

Really good experience with great people and amazing activities and things to do. Get to explore all the best parts of vietnam which is well organised and always enjoyable. You go to lost of ibtetesting places from cities to small towbs which was great to see all areas of vietnam. There is a bit of travelling around in transport which can be quite tiring but its all part of the experience and looking back it wasnt that bad after all. Good mix of enjoying yourself on nights out and having adventures and learning about Vietnam itself. Also had an amazing tour guide, Edna, who was very helpful aand always put others before herself. She was always making sure we were well organised but also enjoying ourselves too. Alltogrther a great trip with lots of memories and experiences to hold. Cheers!

Great experience

Did this tour with a large group of around 15 - our guides, Adam Blackley and Edna Mendoza, were great helps and made sure our trip was smooth as could be. My favorite place was probably Hoi An where we had our cooking class and had the option to get tailor-made suits for cheap (around £80 or so). Also loved the national park where we did caving in the clay caves as well as ziplining with an aerial obstacle course over the river. Would have been nicer to have a few more activities included in the price such as the quad-biking but that's a minor detail. All in all, it was a really great trip and I'd definitely recommend this trip to anyone who plans to go to Vietnam and wants an easy-going holiday while still getting to see so much of Vietnam.

Fantastic Trip

I done the Total Thailand experience and the trip was absolutely fantastic. Its so hard to put into words how good this tour is because there is so much to talk about. We started our tour with Minnie in North Thailand. Minne was absolutely fantastic as tour guide. Her expert knowledge of best restaurants made sure we always had really good food to suit everyones budget and we got to some of the best bars in the North which is important. She thought us all about Thai culture and customs and some useful phrases like hello and thank you which really goes a long way with the locals. The places we visited were brilliant and the views are breathtaking. Minnie was great fun and really made sure everyone was having a great time. She was so nice and gave us plenty of information about the next days adventure. Minnie was always on hand to answer any questions and she always had a smile. The second part of our trip was the 14 day island hopper where we met Bee and our new group. From the very beginning Bee got the whole group bonding. She was great for recommending places to eat and when she says Koh Tao does the best burgers she really means it. Bee was great fun and was always up for a laugh. Bee captured some fantastic memories and she loved to be photographer. I met some of the best people on this tour and if your unsure of traveling or its your first trip away i can not recommend this one enough. The itinerary is amazing and it has both culture, tourism and party. The only problem i have with the full month tour is it goes too fast and your wishing to go back again. Bee and Minne were absolutely amazing and work so incredibly hard they are both fantastic ambassadors for Tru Travels and by the end of the tour they're not just your tour guide they're your friends. Become part of the Tru family and #justgo

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Go to Thailand. Absolutely fantastic country. People are so nice and theres so much to see and do. You wont be disappointed. Tru Travels Thailand tours are amazing theyre the best tour company and theyre really good value for money. They take the risk and pain out or going alone. You wont regret it.

Arthur deserves a medal! ❤️

Myself and my partner went on the 14 day Northern Thailand tour with Arthur as our guide and we could not have had a more amazing time. I cannot praise Arthur enough - he was an absolutely outstanding tour guide (my only grumble is that he was not our tour guide for the second half of our adventure to the south! We were gutted to have to leave him).

The organization and variety on the tour was spot on. Arthur was so full of fun and energy he was able to keep everyone in the party mood and make the most of our holiday. He was so attentive and supportive when some of our fellow travelers needed assistance whether that be with advice on planning further travels or tackling the dreaded Thai tummy! We have made true friends on this tour and cannot thank the trutravels team enough (especially Arthur). I would highly recommend this tour and to anyone who travels with Arthur in the future, I can guarantee you will have the time of your life!

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
Awful Chinese black chicken!

Overall, the food I had on holiday was sensational and I would 100% recommend trying as much as possible!

Best tour guide!

Upn arriving in Thailand Arthur made me feel at ease after a long period of travelling. It became apparent quickly that I had taken someones backpack and they had taken mine, Arthur went the extra mile and helped me to get in touch and eventually retrieve my belongings. Arthur also was out with us every night and by the end of our tour it felt like he was our friend before our tour guide. The accommodation was much better than expected, I was expecting to stay in hostels but most of the time we actually stayed in hotels that were of a good standard. The activities were really well planned out and I got to do things that I would never have been able to do by myself. The elephant sanctuary and staying in a village where just 45 people lived was a particular highlight.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
When I lost my bag was particularly neve wracking but my tour guide really helped to calm my nerves and help me get it back.

Vietnam Explorer

The Vietnam explorer tour was a really great way to experience the culture of Vietnam. There was never a boring moment as we were always busy getting involved with the activities organised. It was nice to have the option to take part in extra activities such as quad biking over sand dunes at Mui Ne, this was one of my favourite activities on the trip! I also enjoyed opting to visit Bana Hills, the location and the view from the top is absolutely stunning! The amusement rides at the top of the mountain were also a bonus. I really like the fact there was a mix of visiting party results and a mix of activities which allowed us to get a real taste of Vietnam. Some of the highlights for me was the cooking class, visiting a national park and basket boating. Our team leader Edna really made the trip as well, she’s amazing at her job and always looked out for people in the group ensuring they were having a good time. She was also great at recommending restaurants/shops/bars etc!

What would you improve about this program?
Have a hotel room available as soon as people get off the night bus at Hanoi as we were all shattered and had no rooms at the hotel to check into for a good few hours.
