Waikato Institute of Technology is one of New Zealand’s largest institutes of technology / polytechnics (ITPs). WinTec offers an excellent selection of programs and research opportunities. The Wintec faculty comprises the schools of business, education, social development, health, media arts, sports and exercise science, English, information technology, international tourism, trades, science & primary industries and foundation studies. The Best thing about this institute is that they are having very qualified and experienced faculty. Tutors are very helpful in your studies and assignments.
Next best thing about the Institute is that they are having the place called "HUB" where students can sit, eat, play, work & do brainstorm together. The quality of the desktop system is of very high configuration depends on which labs you are using. The speed of internet is very good, one can access WIFI with good speed. Printing is really easy. It's not free, but it's very cheap as compared to other outlets.

What is your favorite travel memory?

Aubrey from Wintec

Traveling to Borneo, Malaysia is at the top of my travel list. Borneo was a magical place with many activities and lovely people. Would love to go back!

Have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Working for Wintec has increased my depth of understanding different people, cultures, and traditions. It is a place that has helped me feel more a part of the community of Hamilton.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

There have been many great student stories with the walls of Wintec but one in particular was just awesome! We had a student who went through our Business program and straight after graduating felt confident enough to create his own restaurant and manage it right here in Hamilton! His restaurant does pretty well and we are super proud of him!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Wintec is unique due to the small class sizes, positive environment and the student resources that are available. The International Team goes above and beyond to help our students out and we have a real passion for wanting the best outcome for our students.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

The biggest factor in being a successful company are our customers. We listen to the needs and wants of our customer and do our best to adhere to the highest valued customer service.
