Combined Level 5 TEFL Course in the UK and Ireland

At first I thought it was just a training or a ticket to get to travel the world, but after enrolling I saw that it is a need for me to get the training because it entails all the helpful information needed before embarking on journey of living and teaching abroad.
Online I got a chance to get the gist of what it is like to be an English teacher as a foreign language, how to plan for the lessons, how to make lessons productive for the students. The level of support the academy offers is extremely excellent, they are always available to help if you send a query Emails. The classroom part offers a real experience of teaching and getting to Understand the online content. I thought it was going to be easy to teach because of my teaching experience but during the course I found that teaching people of your same Language is unlike teaching people speaking different language as you. The facilitator helped a lot with everything. I can now say without hesitation that I'm now ready to embark on this TEFL journey through the help of The TEFL Academy.

I would highly recommend the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs)! It was a great experience. It gave me all the information and more on the english language, it’s history, the grammar and how to teach it. If you want to teach English and travel, this is a great place to start! The 2 day course in Limerick I had to attend had a great teacher, it was fun and very helpful. It helped me to understand how to teach the grammar, what students at different levels find difficult etc! Fantastic experience. I hope to travel with this course soon. It gives you lots of information on finding jobs, doing cv letters and cover letters. They give you all the websites you need to find yourself your new TEFL job! Extremely helpful online and very fast response!!!!!

I took this course at a difficult time in my life but the support I received at TEFL Academy was incredible. The online portion of the course was very well laid out and the progress tests and assignments were very easy to understand. The three assignments push you to think outside the box and give you a good experience of what lesson planning will be like in future placements.

The lesson material was very well thought out as well and gave you examples of issues you will likely experience in any classroom setting, as well as examples on how to treat these.

Overall, I felt as though it was a very comprehensive online course with a very good complimentary inclass session. I did my course over two days and though the days were long, the instructors were incredible and made the time fly.

The course was enjoyable and informative. The clear online content was well structured and thorough and made me realise how limited my knowledge of my native tongue had been. The online units covered vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, how to teach receptive and productive skills, lesson planning, teaching methods and classroom management, and lots of help on finding and using teaching resources. I now feel I have a decent foundation on which to start a new phase of my life.
The online material was complemented by fun and confidence-building classroom activities delivered over an intensive weekend by an enthusiastic tutor. The three assignments were demanding: they required a significant amount of time and thought to complete but really cemented the course material. The feedback on the assignments was comprehensive and encouraging.

I've just completed the TEFL Academy 168 hours online course, which I thought was great! Relevant content, lots of information and external links, as well as access to teaching assistance, should you so require. The modules were well presented, with tests at the end of each and three fairly challenging assignments through which to achieve the certification. Very good value for money! I look forward to putting my new qualification to good use as soon as possible, travelling throughout Africa and South America, where I've already organised teacher volunteering in some incredibly deprived areas. Having this qualification, despite having ten years previous special needs educational provision has helped me get placements in the countries I've selected.

The Tefl Academy was a excellent academy for get my Tefl, from the beginning the stuff was very helpful and help me in every step! The program it’s hard but it’s very good, the 10 units are create in a perfect way for help your improvements. The assignments are hard as well, but they are important for understand what a Tefl job will be.
The cost is one of the cheapest because sono academy ask you a lot of money for the same course, The Tefl Academy ask you a very competitive price and they are honest about thi.
About the 168 hours online I can say that they are very understandable and very helpful, the online program help me very much for understand how teach and other things.
The 20 hours in class are very nice and super funny, the academy teacher was brilliant!

So really loved this course, much better than any other course I have ever done!! I would honestly recommend it!! Great feedback is given which helps you grow and develop and not just pass and move on!! True learning experience!! Have been recommending it to everyone looking into TEFL! The course contains everything and more needed to teach, as well as everything to get you actually teaching! I cant wait to proudly display my certificate when I get it! Im also excited to start my top up course soon! Just deciding which one as all the options are great! I will definitely try and do all of the top ups if I can!

My Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) course was just what I needed to try my hand at living and teaching abroad. The course was hard enough to test me yet was easy enough to follow each unit. Instructions and guidelines are laid out like all diplomas so easy to follow and tick off when completed. Although I have an MA in English this feels like a perfect accompaniment to further strengthen my skills in the use and teaching of English. Well worth a go.
Did not have any problems or negatives with thus course and at a discount price of £249 I felt I had little to lose. Now I'm in Cambodia waiting to start in a local school, I know it was well worth the investment. Can go one to take one on one teaching course for further advancement in this area so feel the world is my oyster at the moment.
