Great Teacher Recommendations

The course had a number of videos by actual TEFL teachers and gave authenticate advise how engage with different type of students. It was a great mix of basic facts and experiences and antidotal stories, so it was loads of information and also a mix of interesting observations. I liked it, studying at home online can be boring somethings, this course was engaging and interesting in every chapters.
I feel much more prepared to Teach English than before taking the course. There are a lot of tools and PPP approaches. It is the tip of the iceberg, so much more to learn. A great start to a longer adventure.

What was your funniest moment?
Finally realizing what plenary was. My next door neighbor used that word for years and now I know what it means.
Pros
  • Easy to follow
  • Well organized
  • Loads of information
Cons
  • Takes a little time, learning to do a little each day is better than big power sessions.

TEFL Academy Level 3 review

I heard about The TEFL Academy through a friend of mine. Out of all the TEFL websites we explored, this one was by far the most attractive—the dashboard was simple and easy to navigate, and I especially liked the color scheme. After purchasing the Level 3 course, I quickly began studying and exploring the units. The content was informative, enjoyable to learn, and very well organized. It truly exceeded my expectations—even though they were quite high to begin with.

I completed the course a few days ago and am currently waiting for my certificate. It’s going to take a while, but that's understandable given the high demand.

I highly recommend The TEFL Academy’s website and course.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would opt for this program earlier. It was truly a unique experience that also comes with a certificate that helps you teach abroad and immerse yourself in different cultures all over the world.
Pros
  • Highly informative.
  • Engaging user interface.
  • Value for money.

Excellent experience

I took the level 3 TEFL course of 120 hours. The course was great, informative, clear and easy to follow and complete. The assignments were on point and I used the student’s support quite a few times with great success. Their response was always quick, polite and efficient. I am very happy with the results and I encourage anyone thinking about taking aTEFL course, to do it with TTA. The quizzes were a good way of knowing I was on track and I really liked the fact that I could take them múltiple times. Overall, great course and experience

What was your funniest moment?
My funniest moment was when I was doing my first assignment on paper. I realized I run out of space so I went and purchase a big blank póster to fill it out accordingly.
Pros
  • Material is easy to understand
  • Student support always available
  • You study at your own pace
Cons
  • Sometimes I clicked on a play button that did not work
  • The first assignment was a little too long

The TEFL Academy Course

The course I took (Level 3 TEFL course) was comprehensive and appropriately challenging. I could follow the instructions without any confusion, the lessons were informative and equipped me with the necessary skills to teach English to students learning it as a second language. I know more about how lesson plans should be structured, what strategies can be used to teach different kinds of rarget language, and am prepared to correct and guide students to become confident and competent speakers of English.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would trust myself more. During the course I tended to second-guess myself a lot, overthinking the work and my approach to it.
Pros
  • Learning to teach young students English.

Excellent and Informative course!

This course gave me exactly what I needed to improve as a TEFL teacher. It was clear and understandable. The course was very logical, and the ‘Top TEFL Tips’ were especially helpful.

The online content was very easy to navigate. The reviews and assessments highlighted key learning points and made these easier to keep in mind when preparing lessons. The online resources were helpful for the course and have also been very useful in real-life teaching. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to teach English as a foreign language.

My experience

I recently completed a TEFL course and found it to be an incredibly rewarding and enriching experience. The course offered a comprehensive overview of English language teaching, including grammar, lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching techniques for different age groups and proficiency levels. The modules were well-structured and easy to follow, with a good balance of theory and practical application.

One of the highlights was the emphasis on real-world teaching scenarios, which helped build my confidence and prepared me for a classroom environment. The assignments encouraged critical thinking and creativity, and I appreciated the detailed feedback from tutors, which was both constructive and motivating.

The online platform was user-friendly, allowing me to progress at my own pace. Support from the course team was readily available whenever I had questions or needed clarification. By the end of the course, I felt well-equipped with the tools and strategies needed to begin my journey as an English teacher.

Overall, I highly recommend this TEFL course to anyone considering teaching English abroad or online. It not only strengthened my teaching skills but also broadened my understanding of global education and communication.

Level 3 TEFL qualification: Review on completion by Henriette Steenkamp

I took this course because I need an additional income to supplement my monthly income. This type of course is ideal for me because I am very experienced in online training and while studying to become a teacher (years ago), I majored in Teacher English as a second language. I needed the TEFL qualification to be able to train online in this modern day and age. I searched online for suitable providers and came across the TEFL Academy. Accreditation is very important for me and they did not disappoint.

The course content and structure was excellent and it contained all the relevant information required to equip me for the task at hand. The material was easy to follow and I learned a lot about grammar, lesson planning, teaching methods and classroom management.

The course I took was a self-study course (online) and I must say, the platform was excellent. I never experienced any technical issues and managed to sail through all the units without a glitch. The course was very interactive, including videos, downloadable resources and quizzes.

When I requested student support, feedback was excellent and provided in good time. Feedback on assignments was really quickly. The Academy indicated between 5 - 8 working days, but I always received feedback within two days.
I really feel prepared to teach English online now and am excited to start. I sincerely recommend this course to anyone interested in teaching English as a foreign language.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
I think waiting for the outcome of my assignment was very nerve-racking. It started with running the AI and plagiarism checker, Although I was sure I would have low scores, I still worried. Then the submission and waiting for the assessor to give feedback. I calmed my nerves by reading a book. (LOL)
Pros
  • Excellent content
  • Interesting and challenging assignments
  • Excellent TEFL staff
Cons
  • I would like to have access to the training material for longer, even if it is just to view.
  • I would like a manual of all the content in the units covered.

Engaging course!

I loved the level 3 certificate. Each topic was interesting and relevent. The assignments had clear direction and where accessible. The support was good if you had questions. Also received detailed feedback on assignments which was helpful.

The structure of the course was one of its greatest strengths. It was clearly laid out into manageable modules, each focusing on different aspects of teaching English—from grammar and lesson planning to classroom management and student engagement. The content was presented in a way that was both engaging and practical. I particularly appreciated the interactive elements like quizzes and scenario-based tasks.

Flexibility was another major benefit. Since the course was entirely online and self-paced, I could fit my studies around my full-time job and personal life. I never felt rushed, and I appreciated being able to go back and review material whenever I needed to.

The support from the course team was also excellent. Even though it was an online course, I never felt like I was alone. Tutors were available to answer questions and provide feedback on assignments, and they responded promptly and helpfully every time I reached out. Their encouragement and constructive criticism really made a difference and helped me improve along the way.

What stood out most was how practical and real-world-focused the training was. The course didn’t just focus on theory—it provided tons of examples, tips, and activities that I could see myself using in an actual classroom. It also covered both online and in-person teaching methods, which was great since I’m considering remote teaching opportunities as well as international ones.

By the time I completed the course, I felt confident and excited about stepping into the world of TEFL. I now have a solid understanding of how to plan engaging lessons, manage different types of learners, and create a positive learning environment. The certificate I received is already opening doors.I've started applying for teaching positions abroad and online, and I've even had a couple of interviews lined up!
