Combined Level 5 TEFL Course in South Africa

I really enjoyed the course and learned a lot! The course is really well structured - it starts with teaching vocabulary and grammar, which is the basics of language teaching. It then goes on to teach you how to give reading, listening, speaking and writing lessons. I was able to use everything I learned in the classroom. The students also really enjoy the lessons I provide. The course made me rethink my teaching style and helped me to put myself in my student’s shoes. Before starting the course I did not realize how important that is. This course is what every foreign language teacher needs to enhance their teaching and it covers literally every aspect you can think of. I will recommend this course to everyone and I ensure you, you will not regret it!

My experience with the TEFL online course was amazing. The pages were laid out in an easy understandable way and they were very easy to navigate. The course covered every topic I could think of and more and just when you think there is something you don't quite understand, they give you some extra resources on the topic.

This course can be done even if, like me, you have slow internet. The assignments can all be done offline (although research will be necessary). Speaking of the assignments, the 3 assignments given throughout the course poses quite a challenge and maximum effort will be required to complete them. That isn't off-putting in any way, on the contrary, it required more effort than any other aspect of the course and that made doing them and passing them feel like a major achievement.

This course is my ticket to seeing the world and I know it can do the same for anyone thinking of doing it.

My experience with the TEFL academy was amazing. The layout of the material and the instruction videos at the start of the course made it easy for me to navigate through the units and also successfully upload my assignments. Marking was done quickly and efficiently and feedback was excellent as it showed me exactly where I had short comings and it gave me advice on how to do better. I especially liked that each assignment came with an example over and above the examples given throughout the course. This ensured that I knew exactly what my marker wanted and in turn knew exactly what will expected of me in the future.

I found that the weekend seminars had been the perfect start to my six month long course as it gave me an insight on what the course is about and the lecturer had introduced each unit. She was amazing, helpful and truly tried her best to answer every question the class had.

I am grateful that I had come across this particular course with this particular company as it not only equipped me for teaching ESL overseas but also gave me a strong foundation to teach online.

I had the best experience completing my TEFL certificate from April 2019 - Sep 2019. The structure of the course is put together in sucg a way that you can access it from anywhere via he internet which makes it really easy to complete as you can literally log into your account and pick up where you left off. The fact that you can rewrite the tests until you pass really helps with eliminating the 'stress factor', and you learn easier as you go back on the questions you could not answer and then actually remember the answer after re-reading. The feedback is ALWAYS on time, and I was assisted immediately OR the day after with each phone call I made with any concern. I would recommend this course to anyone who would like to complete their TEFL certificate.

The assistance from the markers I was assigned to was very helpful. The course has helped to equip me with the skills needed to begin my career as a TEFL teacher. The course was broken down to ensure full understanding and application of skills. I never not once felt tired or bored while completing this course and I found that the assignments were both informative and exciting to complete. The feedback I received from my markers helped to improve both my produced work and understanding of many aspects within the Level 5 course. Don't overthink!
Start asap and dont leave large gaps between units. The course was challenging but satisfying.
Would it be true about regulating the TEFL course by having to do a revision of 100 hours after 2 years of completing the course?
I would certainly be more truthful about age and qualification limitations to successfully secure positions.
How would one secure online teaching positions at age 58 with 21 years teaching experience. 2 months down the line and still no secure positions.
I look forward to travelling overseas to teach. I would love to travel using TEFL at my age because it's do able rather than waitressing as an alternative to make money while travelling.
How many other older people do this? And what is the success rate?

I thoroughly enjoyed the TELF course. It's given me a new appreciation for education, sparking new and exciting ideas. I'm so excited to start my journey nurturing and moulding young minds and changing lives through communication.

The course material was uploaded speedily, and the course material was delivered in bite size chunks. The were challenging parts and parts that were common knowledge. The material was interesting. I would have like to have printed the information for further reference. The pictures didn't copy over and had to be 'snipped' in order to copy them over.

Assessment feedback was provided timeously. Feedback was fair and provided great guidance on how to improve the assessment. The level of the assessments were of good quality.

All in all the course was well worth the money.
