I found the course covered many different aspects of being a teacher from section one to section 10, I did find that from unit one to three a lot of information was provided that was common knowledge, I also note that that could be sue to a number of reasons, mainly that the course creators don't know what the education level of each student is before the course begins. I found unit 4 to be very bizarre, it was meant to be based on grammar as a whole but it only focussed on the twelve tenses. It went in-depth with the twelve tenses also. After unit four I felt like the creators seemed eager to finish the course, with each section becoming smaller and smaller than the one before it.

All in all I felt that the course was good, I just hope my certificate comes quickly so that I can move on to working

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

If I could do this over again I would take it more seriously from an earlier point

An awesome online educational platform that works seamlessly and effortlessly. I thoroughly wnjoyed taking this course and recommended in to anyone intending to becoming a TEFL teacher either online or wanting to travel abroad. I intend on starting to teach online and therefore open up an additional income stream. I think it would be convenient because I can take my computer with me wherever I go, and I think that it would help me to gain confidence interacting with students online initially instead of teaching in a classroom directly. I can honestly say that this course has been an enlightening experience for me and there were no negative aspects to this course. I enjoyed both the online part and the face to face part as it got us to interact with fellow students. An overall positive experience!

What would you improve about this program?

I can't think of anything specifically that I would improve. An overall great experience.

The level of professionalism in this course was excellent. The learning materials were top notch and of exceptional quality. The assessment and assignments were practical and applicable to real life situations in the classroom. The practical sessions were very insightful with a variety of teaching techniques and methods showcased. There was loads of enthusiasm and energy brought in by the instructor . The level of support and feedback provided throughout this course was superb given that the mode of instruction was online distance education . The online system was very efficient , I experienced no technical glitches or system errors. This course was sufficiently challenging with a range of skills and competencies being evaluated . I definitely recommend this course.

What would you improve about this program?

The one thing I really found cumbersome was to tick the declaration at the end of each assignment as it brings up a very long webpage once assignments have been uploaded.
It is something easy to overlook which saves your assignment as a draft , delaying submission and wasting time.

The course was difficult but then again no course should be easy. This in itself shows the credibility of the qualification. Definitely worth the money. Friendly support staff and obtained great feedback when submitting my assignments. The course has helped me in my current role as a teacher teaching English to foreign learners in China. I loved the complexity of the course and the ease of the user interface when working through the course work. Thanks TEFL Academy. I was easily able to complete the course while holding down a full time job. The completion of the course has further opened up so many doors as I am not able to work in many countries with the qualification I have now obtained. I will always recommend you, the TEFL Academy to anyone looking to obtain a TEFL qualification.

What was your funniest moment?

The practical classes were amazingly fun. So much information packed in and delivered fantastically.

This course was comprehensive, easy to use and well presented. It was worth every cent. I have already interviewed with a few online tutoring companies and I know that having the certificate and the knowledge & exposure to TEFL that comes with that certificate is making all the difference as I progress through the interviewing process.

The assignments were challenging and the feedback from the markers on-point. Suggestions and guidance given for real class situations were relevant and valuable, the templates provided for lesson plans and lesson prep are great. Links provided for teaching aids are very helpful. Also, the links provided for job boards and finding work.

I would recommend this course to anyone that is serious about becoming qualified in TEFL, both online and in the classroom.

The online TEFL course offered by The TEFL Academy was an affordable choice. I didnt know anything about the course, yet once I started I was impressed at how user friendly and easy the online course was to complete. It was actually quite enjoyable, and support was available quickly and efficiently.

I would definitely recommend this course to others. I also found a job on their job board. it gives me peace of mind to apply for jobs from their website, as I feel the posts would have been verified.

I enjoy learning languages, and the subject of English, so I did not find the course onerous or difficult. I think it was pitched just right.

I am looking forward to working as a teacher overseas- this has been a great platform for my future!

What would you improve about this program?

I would only like to recommend that you offer the option of a remark, by a different reviewer, which you could charge for.
I received D&M's for all my course quizzes and assignments, except for one section of Assignment C that I received a P for. I'm quite disappointed in this.

I felt that this course prepared me more than was necessarily expected for a teaching course. Not only are the modules challenging and well presented but the course is cost-effective and the staff behind the operation are extremely helpful. I found that the course prepared me for almost any situation a person could face when teaching English and there are a lot. What I liked most about the course though was that I was learning something worth keeping. The 20-hour weekend course was interactive, fun and I even made a few friends there. I also found the staff to be very knowledgeable, helpful and all-around friendly. If you're looking for a well rounded, professionally accredited course that gives you a bang for your buck, look no further!!!!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I would have honestly just added more practical hours.

I had an amazing experience during the course. The online portion can be particularly challenging, especially if not taken seriously. The course is packed with interesting and useful exercises and tests which help you to engage with and think about the course materials. I personally really enjoyed the in class portion, as it was an eye opening experience and we had a great opportunity to think outside the box and challenge ourselves to think outside the box. It was amazing to meet the other people doing the course as well. Also, our facilitator was absolutely amazing and it was evident that she had a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience. This course, while challenging at times, was well worth my while and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to enter the existing world of TEFL.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

Having to prepare mock classes in a short time. We worked together in groups and received guidance and constructive criticism from our classmates and facilitator.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

The one piece of advice I would give is to plan ahead and to do your best. Worrying and stressing won't help you. The resources, as well as the markers, are there to assist and help you achieve your best. Planning ahead is beneficial as you do not want to get stuck with a pile of work and then have to ask for an extension. Just do your absolute best and you will reap the rewards.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

The TEFL course spanned over a period of 6 months which gave me ample time to complete my course accordingly. Some units take more time than others to complete, but if you plan and stick to that plan, you will not have a problem. The TEFL site also makes it easy and exciting to learn so that you do not get bored or frustrated during your study session.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

I have no been abroad yet for TEFL teaching, but I am surely looking into it. I would love to travel to Asia, as I have been to India once and I absolutely loved it. I would like to visit Japan, South Korea, and China as a TEFL teacher and hopefully start my career there. I look forward to new experiences and challenges.

Any other tips for any prospective traveler?

India is a fantastic country, not quite like what I initially perceived it to be. The people are genuine and the country itself is a true wonder. My advice to anyone traveling there is to absorb as much as he/she/they can. India is rich with culture and history, full of diversity. Visiting places such as the Taj Mahal brings a totally different feeling, the atmosphere is spectacular. India is a beautiful country and so are its people.
