Real Projects, Real Growth — A Life-Changing Internship

My internship through Go Abroad China wasn’t just about adding a line to my resume — it was a transformative experience. I got to work on actual projects at a Fortune 500 company, and I was treated like a real member of the team, not just an intern. The professional environment, combined with Chinese cultural exposure, pushed me to grow fast both personally and career-wise.

The mentorship I received was incredible, and having a support network from GAC made navigating work and life in China smooth. I came back home with new confidence, global perspective, and solid industry experience. This internship truly opened doors for my future.

A Career-Changing Experience I Didn’t Know I Needed

I didn’t expect this internship in China to have such a huge impact on my future, but it truly reshaped how I see my career. Working with a Fortune 500 company gave me exposure to real projects, an international work environment, and the chance to collaborate with professionals from all over the world.

I gained hands-on experience in a field I’m passionate about, and the mentorship was incredibly valuable. Living in China also opened my mind culturally and personally—especially with the Mandarin classes and organized local activities.

I walked away with more confidence, new skills, and a global mindset. Highly recommend to anyone looking to take a bold step forward in their career.

Logistics internship

I was making an internship in logistics and it was great in order to have more experience and to learn more about to understand the International commerce and also to know the Chinese culture. When I arrive in China my concept of this country was different now I am understanding that Chinese people is pretty much the same up all the people in the world but with the difference that the Chinese people has a high level discipline education and card working mentality. Just because of that my trouble to China is worth it.

Beyond the Office: A Cultural and Career Awakening

I expected to gain work experience in a Chinese company—but what I didn’t expect was how deeply this internship would impact my worldview. Working in a Fortune 500 tech firm challenged me professionally, but it was the day-to-day life in Shanghai, the team lunches, the unexpected friendships, and the cultural immersion that truly transformed me.

This wasn’t just an internship—it was an eye-opener into how global business really works. I returned home more confident, more skilled, and with a network that spans continents. If you're serious about your future career and want a real international edge, this program is the perfect launchpad.

This internship changed my perspective in more ways than one. Being placed in a Fortune 500 company in Beijing, I wasn’t just fetching coffee—I was analyzing market trends and contributing to team discussions.
