I had an amazing time.

I just got back from my internship in Thailand. One word, “Awesome”. My position was an intern in marketing. I really enjoyed my internship as I have learnt new marketing strategies that are different where I am from. This opens my perception on many things such as culture, and what and why people do things.

Aside from just doing my internship, I had fun traveling in Bangkok. I went to Wat Arun which is on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is stunning because the temple’s design was different from all the other temples that you can visit in Bangkok. I went around the evening and found that it was crowded, so I came back the next morning.

China Town also known as Yao Wa Rat, is a place that every intern should visit. There are great varieties of amazing food. This place is crowded with shops in the morning and afternoon, and the night is filled with food stalls.

Traveling is easy. It is good to know before hand on how to get to a certain location so you can save time and money. If you only travel in the Sukhumvit area, you can use the BTS sky train which is easy to use, and fast to travel in.

What would you improve about this program?
While I did alot of travelling I would have liked to have done so with fellow interns more often. It would have been nice for AP to arrange more regular trips.

Logistics with AIP

As part of my University studies I was required to take part in a co-op module where we would intern or work abroad for 6 months. I wasn’t really excited about the prospect of interning at home in Ireland so I decided to look overseas and stumbled upon AIP’s website. I outlined my University requirements in my interview with them and paid a deposit to solidify my place in the program and made an updated CV. A few weeks after this I was sent information about a company and had an interview scheduled with them. The interview went ok, I stutter a little bit when I am feeling nervous and stumble over my words but it mustn't have been too bad because I was accepted and I sent off the documentation to my University for approval. Moving to Thailand must have been one of the most nerve-wracking things I’ve ever done, I was so anxious the night before not going crossed my mind but of course in the end my common sense prevailed and I boarded the plane. Thailand is unlike anywhere I’ve been before and I was a bit overwhelmed my first few weeks here but I loved it! The food, the people, my work, and best of all, the travel - my favorite spots being Chiang Mai and Koh Lanta! I’m so glad I took the plunge and did something a bit out of my comfort zone, I definitely recommend AIP.

What would you improve about this program?
I think I could have benefited form a bit of coaching before the company interview.

Opportunity of a lifetime

AIP ensured my transition into living and working in Bangkok ran smoothly. I was able to build valuable relationships and gain unforgettable experiences through AIP's services. If you are looking for the career opportunity of a lifetime, an internship abroad with AIP is worth every cent. I was beyond happy with my internship program and made friends and memories to last a lifetime. What a positive and eye-opening experience!

What would you improve about this program?
One of my friends had a major issue with her company. While she was immediately placed at a new job, she had to be very persistent with AIP for them to make any further movements against the company. Additionally, AIP overcharges for the Standard Package and the facilities should be in closer to proximity to where an individual works.

Amazing Experience

Through AIP, I interned in Bangkok during summer 2018. This is one of the best personal investments I’ve ever made. The internship matching was incredible, and they were able to place me in the exact type of company I had hoped for. AIP was also very supportive from the very beginning—from answering all of my pre-arrival email questions, to arranging events for me to meet other interns, to planning my final ride to the airport. Thank you AIP! I highly recommend this program.

What would you improve about this program?
More trips!

Amazing Internship in Thailand

AIP helped me have an absolutely incredible internship experience in Bangkok and Chiang Rai during the summer of 2018. With their services, I was able to settle into life in Thailand easily, and it was easy to focus on working, learning, and growing professionally and personally. Their staff was always there to help day or night, and they made moving around the world/getting acclimated simple. I would highly recommend AIP to anyone looking to intern abroad!!

What would you improve about this program?
AIP has been awesome, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Great Experience Interning in Thailand

Huge thank you to AIP and their staff for providing me with an experience of a life time. They always had events for me to attend but let me experience the culture of Thailand, and shape my experience to my preferences. Everything from the internship placements to the housing is great, but the people is what separates AIP from any other company I've interacted with. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

What would you improve about this program?
I know finding partnerships is hard, but having more connections in financial institutions would definitely make this program even more attractive for students who want to work abroad and not fall behind other students pursuing finance professionally. All this will come as AIP grows!

Best Internship Company in Asia

If I could give this company an 11/10 out of ten I would! AIP did their homework on the most pragmatic way to find students or people in general internships in Asia. They work based on your wants and not the company's. That's what I think separates them from other companies. I had the pleasure of interning with a law firm that they recommended me for. Not only was the company just what I needed, AIP was too. Outside of work, they are more inclusive than you would think. From intern bike rides, to networking events, to domestic trips, the list goes on and on. I would not think of any other company than AIP. Any questions, feel free to ask!

What would you improve about this program?
Growth beyond compare! Use the platform you've established and great networking you've demonstrated to grow maybe outside of Asia!

My 4 month overall experience

My overall experience with AIP was wonderful. They were very responsive and helpful when it comes to enquiries, also their monthly networking event was a bonus to all interns. I have attended a few of their #BIG vents. It was informative and at the same time enjoyable when it comes to socializing with different business individuals during the networking session.

As for my working experience. It has definitely improve my interpersonal and communication skills during the past four months. By being able to perform multiple task efficiently and communicate more effectively within and outside of the company. Furthermore, I'm able to clearly identify my strength and weaknesses. Some of discovery are quite surprising. Definitely it is not a full stop when it comes to learning and there are room for improvements within those specified areas.

Not to mention the travels and the countless adventures in Thailand. Few of the highlights were hiking some of Thailand's beautiful national park and bike rides to some local hotspots. Best of all was the selfless and kind hearted people I have encountered throughout the months. After graduation, I look forward in developing my career in Thailand. A country which has so much to offer. Thanks AIP for providing us a gateway in enhancing our career!
