I just graduated college in May of this year and had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do for the short term. I noticed a lot of my friends had applied to fellowships to either do research or teach abroad, so I figured "well, why don't I look into teaching abroad"? Ultimately, I stumbled upon ITA through a simple, but fateful google search. Next thing I know, I'm wrapping up my course and organizing plans to move to move to Spain! Although fed up with taking classes ITA's course was different in that it allowed me to put to practice what I learned by giving me assignments that I'd actually do as a teacher. I was actually able to step into the role of a teacher through them, and now I feel prepared to go make a life for myself as a budding professional. T'was a smart move indeed, one I have no absolutely no regrets in making.

I did my research and spoke with several schools. I 'm happy I chose ITA. I feel I've received a very through training. The instructors and resources were easy to follow.

The use of in class videos as well as additional lectures added to my training. I used resources outlined in the text to complete assignments. I was also able to find additional resources on my own.

The activities and assignments were in keeping with the lessons. With the available resources, I could complete assignments on time. In addition I liked that I as able to find new resources as I do not like to "reinvent the wheel!"

Travelling the world and experiencing different cultures has always been a dream of mine but it always seemed so distant. Travelling can be expensive and overwhelming to plan and I could never find the right time. Having the opportunity to do the ITA online TEFL course has not only improved my CV and my career prospects, it has also opened so many doors for me for travelling. The course has taught me how to be an effective ESL teacher and I'm excited to put all this knowledge into practice. Enrolling in any online course or programme can be a huge risk - you can only rely on reviews and you want the best possible experience. With ITA, they provided really helpful advice over email/skype and gave me consistent support throughout the entire course. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to travel.

I'd never taken an online course before and decided to try it after much research with the International TEFL organization. They were extremely helpful right from the very beginning. They offer a ton of information about how to choose a good institution for getting your TEFL certification. I knew immediately that they were legitimate when I read that it was required to speak with an adivsor before you signed up for anything. They have a lot of articles not about themselves, but about what makes a good certification course and what you should look for/be wary of. I liked that they didn't promote themselves, but genuinely wanted to be helpful for those new to this process. It becomes especially confusing with all the different types of certifications out there. I also was drawn to the fact that they offer job assistance afterwards. This isn't some "easy-A" type of online certification. It requires time and effort. They really want you to be the best you can before you go teach. They are an accredited organization and strive to be the best. My instructor made herself easily available via email or online office ours/forums. Would definitely recommend it to others!

I decided to get my TEFL certification after teaching ESL in Vietnam. I went through ITA because I've heard how great of a program it is, and it really is an awesome program. You can tell that the teachers love what they are doing and they really want their students to be the best ESL teachers that they can be. The course work can be difficult at times, but that's good because it will only make you a better teacher. I also really like how ITA provides their graduates with a life time of job search guidance. The student affairs team is really helpful and will even look over your cover letter and resume for you. If anything, that was probably what really made my decision. If you want to get your TEFL certification do it through ITA it's the best.

This TEFL course was a very challenging experience for me, but I totally enjoyed it. The knowledge and skills I have picked up I have now introduced into my current teaching job with adult learners in the community sector. The results have been excellent, especially among my culturally diverse students.
I now rearrange the classroom for group activities and have found the students to be more engaging and receptive and it has made a huge difference especially for my night groups as they are more alert and interractive. The assessment results have improved greatly for these students.
I am looking forward to going overseas and putting the skills and knowledge into practice, hopefully I will be as effective there as I have been here. We have not as yet decided which country we will be going to, but it will be in Europe somewhere.
I can recommend this course to anyone wanting to teach ESL.

This is my first time to take and finish an online course.And I can say that it was fun, educational and most of all challenging. It has been challenging because of my time schedule. Everyday I look forward on how to take the lessons and complete the quiz and tasks each week while going to work at the same time.And I am truly happy that finally I completed all the whole course.I can't wait for my next journey after the course. More power to all the TEFL Academy team from all over the world. Thank you for this wonderful experience. I will continue to review all the lessons and will try my best to improve my lessons plans for my future students. I am looking forward to meet and work with some of the people who are part of TEFL Academy and also to travel the world.

Awesome course! I was truly impressed with the amount of content and the quality of the content. I would recommend this course to my friends and anyone who is interested in teaching English overseas. My teacher for the course was very knowledgeable and offered more than enough help and feedback throughout the entire course. There was a plethora of videos throughout the course (average 3-4 per chapter) that not only offered help with the learning aspect of the course, but could also be used in lesson planning once you are in a teaching position overseas. The only thing I feel I would change is I would prefer there to be a section within the course that deals with the job search aspect of the teaching English overseas process. 10/10. Will recommend the course to anyone who wants to teach English overseas!!

My experience was unique with TEFL courses. The practical part and task-based nature of the course can help me a lot in real life teaching situations. There is a practical side behind every good theory. In a sense that Ss know for sure that s/he can use what s/he has learnt in real life situations. If applicability is limited to the four walls of the classroom, then it is only good for special occasions.

Whenever all the pillars of teaching are present, there will be no barriers on the way of teaching and learning. There exist T(s), ELL(s), objective, and the most important of all application. There is a clear and vivid one to one correspondence between classroom activities and real life activities. They can be expanded and abridged. Ss can give comments on them and use them in related context.

When I first started this course, I admit I was rather nervous. I never had any experience teaching, much less teaching English. However, I was blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Professor Cruz, and Ms. Houston. These two provided me with the confidence I needed to move forward in my journey to become an English teacher. I experience nothing short of utmost professionalism and dedication from these two individuals. It was clear that these two represented the pinnacle of professionalism and dedication to see me succeed. My experience with this course has provided me with the unique insight, and confidence I needed to become a successful teacher. I am grateful to have had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of this phenomenal course.
