Amazing

This is the best thing I have ever done. I grew so much as a person and learned so many things about myself. This is by far the time of my life. I met so many amazing people and it is going to be so hard to say goodbye. A bunch of us already have plans to meet up in the US! Everything here is amazing, the food, the nightlife, the people, the shopping, the traveling! Literally everything. I cannot wait to come back and experience Italy again. But I would do anything to experience this program for the first time again:)

AMAZING

I have learned so much about myself and the world! I am going to be forever greatful for this experience and cannot wait to share it with my friends in family. I will be sharing this experience with people so that they are able to experience something like this. I have found a new city that I have called in love with and am so greatful for that. The people in the city have made it feel like home and now when I come back, I know I am coming back to family. I would not change this for the world I loved it.

My overall experience was so good I enjoyed my time here. I really liked traveling on the weekends all the European countries are east to travel on the weekend. My roommates were great and we all got alone well. I have learned so much about myself and other cultures I would recommend the experience to anyone who is wanting a great adventure. I felt very safe the entire time and everyone was so helpful when I needed some advise or had any problems. I fell in love with Italy and I hope to be back here soon.

Amazing

This was the first time I’ve worked in the fashion industry, and I am so glad I was able to be exposed to something so new, and have a great time while doing so. I was able to learn a lot more about my interests through work, as well as travels with my roommates and the group. My advisors Antonella and Amanda were so accommodating to all of my needs, and I felt extremely supported throughout my whole program. It was great knowing that they were only a text away and ready to help me with anything I needed.

Memories to last a life time

Studying abroad was the best decision i’ve ever made! I met so many amazing people and made so many new friends. I even got to travel around Europe and go places like switzerland and paris! The advisors were extremely helpful to assist with anything you may need. If you’re thinking about studying abroad through global experiences, DO IT! My summer went by so fast! I was nervous and scared coming into the program but by day 1 I was already extremely comfortable with the whole situation! So thankful i made the decision to go to Milan!

Anna Gomez is Amazing!!

My time here in Florence was amazing! As someone who has been traveling their whole life I am used to the craziness that comes with going to new places and being away from home. Grant it, there are always things that come up and can make adapting to new situations a bit more difficult. Throughout this experience, Anna provided so much support and was there for me when other advisors couldn't get stuff done. She is kind, understanding and very efficient. I am so thankful for her help on this trip!

Pros
  • Great food
  • Meeting new people
  • Good for resume building

Very happy I did an internship abroad!

I am about to end my experience here in Milan and I’m not ready to leave. I have enjoyed this experience so much and believe I have grown as an individual because of it. The program coordinators Amanda and Antonella are very sweet and we’re always there whenever I needed anything. Having both Amanda and Antonella around was a huge comfort and made me feel safer interning abroad. The events and trips planned we’re a lot of fun and made it much easier than having to plan things on my own. Living in Milan for 8 weeks and working here allowed me to immerse myself in Italian culture and lifestyle. The main negative I do have to comment on is all housing options should be provided with air conditioning as Europe reached record high numbers this summer. Without ac I dreaded going back to my apartment despite the apartment itself being in good condition. When my roommates and I were dealing with our very hot apartment both Amanda and Antonella supported us all the way in trying to solve our problems which I’m very grateful for. Overall, if you can study/intern abroad this is your sign to go for it!

Pros
  • Culture
  • Food
  • Beautiful Sights
Cons
  • Housing
  • Heat
  • Unreliable public transportation at times

The best 3 months of my life

Coming into this program, I had a lot of fears, questions, all alongside excitement. As I arrived to my housing, I was greeted with a large, modern, 4 bedroom apartment located a couple feet away from the Ponte Vecchio. Instantly, my roommates were welcoming, kind and felt this bond that completely tossed my fears out of the window.. Right into the Arno. Overall, this program provided easily accessible medical attention, safety protocols, and enjoyable events such as apéritive and bike riding in Luca to enhance our bond and experience. Keep in mind, I arrived with 1 checked bag, 1 carry on, and a duffel bag.. I left back home with 2 checked bags, a carry on and a duffel bag. Shopping is a life time experience here so be prepared!

Pros
  • Living accommodation
  • New friendships
  • Exploring new countries and cities
Cons
  • Cost of living with no income
