Excellent Program

SAI was so accommodating in every step of the study abroad experience. Before arriving in the Rome the Admissions staff was very helpful and then once abroad the staff was unbelievably terrific. They were always overly willing to help and they planned amazing trips. Needless to say I am so Rome sick and wish I could do it all over again! Thanks SAI!

SAI ROME

I've never spent a day in Rome feeling unsupported by SAI. They have helped make my semester abroad such an amazing experience. Between everyone that works in the Rome SAI office and the free activities, I would recommend this program to anyone looking to study abroad in Italy!

Great Program, definitely would recommend.

I think I 100% made the right choice with SAI. The staff is friendly, accessible, and always ready to help, no matter how serious or trivial the problem. They are very easy to get in contact with and it is a small enough program that I got to know the staff members personally. From picking you up at the airport to helping you get around your new neighborhood, they are extremely helpful when acclimating to life in a new country. The events they organize are fun and help you meet everyone in the program right from the get go. They have just the right amount of involvement in the students life I think, helping you when you have questions or problems but also giving lots of independence to figure things out on your own. Housing is more than adequate and they try their best to match you with roommates you will get along with (my roommates are my best friends here). Altogether a great program, I wouldn't go any other way.

Great semester

SAI was a great program. I'm so glad I chose them because they were always helpful and gave us AMAZING housing arrangements for us. It was a nearly perfect semester thanks to SAI. When I had to go to the doctor, SAI contacted a local practice that spoke English, made me an appointment, and sent my insurance without me having to do a thing. I was very please with the service they provided overall and it was a nearly perfect semester thanks to SAI.

Great program, great semester

I thoroughly enjoyed going abroad to Rome with SAI/JCU. The staff at SAI Rome is super helpful and very accommodating. They're young too so they understand and if you need to talk, they're there to listen. I really like the extra programs such as cooking classes, vineyard tours, etc. that were offered to SAI program students only. These are included in the program and are a great way to meet other people on the program and get immersed in Italian culture. I would definitely recommend going to Rome with SAI!

What would you improve about this program?
My housing location and apartment in general were subpar. Our neighbors hated us from day one which made living in our apartment difficult at times but this was not SAI's fault at all. SAI was very accommodating with our situation and paired with Comforts of Rome Housing to make sure that everything pertaining to our apartment was taken care of quickly and accurately.

Questions & Answers

Sai offers premium housing every semester that offers a more central location and often newer interiors. It does cost extra money, but those are the best apartments. However, all the apartments are great! Sai does a great job of getting apartments in the area and they're all nice. The farther you get from JCU usually the larger the apartments. The closer you are normally it's slightly less space...

Apartments are located all over the neighborhood Trastevere which is where John Cabot is located. They're all totally different and some are two blocks away while others are a little over a mile. My apartment was one of the farther ones, but I was still able to walk there in fifteen minutes without taking any public transportation. Everyone had between 4-5 people total living in their house. I...
