New Destiny Carved

I found this course at the best time, when I just relocated to Spain and was looking for a new income stream. I enjoyed the material, and completing it gave me great satisfaction. During the study period, I registered on the NativeCamp Japanese teaching portal and gained a lot of confidence. Also, used the lesson activities with my face-to-face student. It was fun to study and practice at the same time.

The program was interactive, loved that it referred to cool articles and other useful websites and teaching materials.
Thank you for the nice reviews of my assignments.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would take advantage of the two gratis lessons added to the program, the 1:1 teaching and the business English teaching.
Pros
  • One can learn when ever convenient with 24/7 access to the material
  • Free resources
  • The newest tech -smart using of AI including in the material

Review on level 5 TEFL course

I chose this course after researching various TEFL programs. My main priorities were international recognition and a reasonable price, and this course met both. The content was useful and engaging, and the support team was incredibly helpful—they answered all of my questions quickly and clearly. I'm very thankful for their support. The platform was also user-friendly, which made the learning experience smoother. I hope to find international job opportunities with my certificate. Overall, I’m happy with my choice.

Excellent course content

I recently completed the Level 5 online TEFL course with The TEFL Academy. It was very difficult for me to manage between studying taking care of my child and a job, but the course content was engaging enough to keep me hooked and motivated to complete the course. The course provided me with plenty of resources and introduced me to lesson planning concepts that are efficient and effective. I have already applied the concepts that I learnt, and the lessons have become more fun and engaging for both me and my students.

Road to TEFL

You're wondering if it's possible; it is. I started this course doubting myself, thinking there's no way I could achieve the goal I so badly craved. The TEFL Academy was recommended to me by a close friend. Yes, the institution is recognized internationally, and yes, the qualification you will receive is accredited.

When I started, I had no idea what to do, so let me clear things up. When you purchase the course, you'll receive emails. One with a link to their e-learning website, you just set up your profile and get to work. The learning experience itself is interactive and exciting, you have nothing to worry about.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I WOULD START SOONER!
Pros
  • Interactive activities
  • Learner centered
  • The style of tests(based on understanding, not memory)
Cons
  • Navigating a new website
  • Time it takes to grade assignments
  • You need internet access

Best decision you'll make

I wanted to do a course that is engaging and not just has theoretical aspects. The TEFL Academy course level 5 provided not just theory, but probably one of the best interactive and real-life activities that I have ever come across. Even after I was in a bad spot between other work, etc, the support team motivated me and gave me options to still continue with the course while overcoming obstacles due to time constraints. I would refer anyone to do this course who not only wants to enrich others, but also enrich themselves.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would not doubt myself. Everytime I had to submit a worksheet I created, I was so scared. But after using my son as a test subject ;-), I realised that my work and my teaching can actually do good and change a student for the better.
Pros
  • Student support are literally just an email away.
  • The interactive activities make you think beyond your comfort zone.
  • The content of the course are interesting and engaging.
Cons
  • I literally can't think of even one con to share.

Excellent learning experience

The online structure of the learning material was so easy to navigate and understand. All learning material was so interesting as well as clear and precise that it made me so eager to want to go back to learn ore every single day. The assignments were daunting as a learner, however, with the clear instructions, detailed feedback and where improvements can be made for the next submission, as well as the excellent student support, made everything so much easier. The weekly live webinars were my favourite as it gave live information, feedback and support besides the excellent support online that was already provided. This course was the best I have ever done and would definitely recommend The TEFL Academy to anyone looking to to this course.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Completing the assignments were daunting and nerve racking at first, however, after submitting the first submission and receiving such detailed feedback on how to improve the assignment in each question, I was able to successfully complete assignments by the next submission and passed.
Pros
  • Excellent support
  • Easy to use website and materials
  • Very interesting learning materials and webinars

Great course, would recommend to colleagues

I was very skeptical about taking a TEFL course. But, when I heard from a friend about her experiences it got me excited. So, I thought I'd give it a try. Initially, I felt overwhelmed. However, once I got started it was so easy to lock in. The modules were very engaging and the knowledge tests were very helpful to understand each section better. The big three assignments allowed me to develop the different parts of a lesson plan that is great practice for when I begin to create lessons for future classes I teach. I would 10/10 would recommend this to anyone looking to teach English as a foreign language. Great course.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Take it all in. You will gain a wealth of new knowledge that would help you throughout your travels, especially when teaching English abroad. Don't forget to HAVE FUN along the way!
Pros
  • Engaging tests and assignments
  • Great resources
  • At your own pace
Cons
  • Lengthy readings
  • 5 business days return on assignments before you can work on next one
  • No live chat support for questions

Great course

I found the course to be well-structured, challenging, and engaging. The curriculum was designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which helped me feel more confident in my ability to teach English to non-native speakers. I especially appreciated how the course covered a wide range of topics, including grammar, lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching the four key language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Each module built on the last, allowing me to steadily progress and deepen my understanding of what it takes to be an effective English teacher. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the course was how interactive it was, with quizzes, assignments, and real-world teaching scenarios that encouraged me to think critically and creatively. I also learned a great deal about how to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning environments, levels, and age groups. Whether it was creating engaging activities for young learners or planning more structured lessons for adult students, the course equipped me with the tools and confidence I needed. The support from tutors was another highlight—they were always available to provide guidance, answer questions, and give constructive feedback on assignments. This feedback helped me reflect on my progress and continuously improve. I also enjoyed learning about the cultural aspects of teaching English abroad, which opened my eyes to the importance of being respectful, adaptable, and culturally aware as a teacher. One particular area that stood out to me was the focus on learner-centred teaching and the importance of creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. I now understand how crucial it is to encourage student participation, foster motivation, and provide plenty of opportunities for students to practise the language in meaningful ways. The pronunciation and phonology section, though initially daunting, turned out to be incredibly valuable, and I learned techniques to help students overcome common pronunciation challenges. The course also offered insight into the use of technology in the classroom, something I found particularly relevant and exciting. From using online platforms to creating digital resources, I now feel well-prepared to teach in both in-person and virtual settings. Overall, completing the Level 5 TEFL Certificate was not only enjoyable but also deeply educational. It provided me with a strong foundation and a clear path forward, whether I choose to teach abroad, online, or even locally. I came away from the course with a sense of accomplishment and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching English. It has sparked a passion in me that I didn’t fully realize was there before, and I’m excited to apply everything I’ve learned in real-world teaching situations. I’m proud of what I achieved and grateful for the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally through this experience.
