I thoroughly enjoyed my experience of learning through the TEFL Academy! I felt that this course was very organized and that the layout was simple and easy to navigate. I can see the relevance of every unit that was completed and also really enjoyed the variety and difficulty levels of the assignments. I felt that all the assignments reflected an appropriate level of difficulty that could be expected when becoming an online teacher. I also definitely felt that doing this course is an absolute necessity when wanting to become an online/off-line teacher if one does not have a background in teaching, as it teaches a lot of teaching-specific jargon and skills when handling students.

This was the best course ever. It covered an array of topics to fully understand the teaching world. The tests and assignments were challenging at times, yet I learnt so much. This course pushed me to my limits as it was a completely new terrain, however it’s the push we all need. The knowledge gained personally and professionally is amazing. You see things in a new light, from teaching to conversing with others. I am so grateful I had this opportunity and wouldn’t change it for anything. This is the only course you need. It’s the best!!!

As I was looking for something affordable but LEVEL 5 being myself a modest working class guy, I started patiently comparing all the options available. Of course there were those attractive CELTA or TRINITY idyllic and luxurious offers that seem to be conceived for the privileged and fortunate, but if I had that money to go spending on such courses I would be financially buoyant and go on holidays! So, with that in mind, I come across The TEFL Academy. I saw the price and said to myself, wait a minute, you are kidding me. There must be some kind of trick here. I took the time to double check and couldn't find any flaws in what was advertised so I decided to take the chance and go for it, with my budget. I didn't know much about teaching but I have a degree in English philology so it wasn't that hard to find out that these people meant business and were good at it. And thank God I started the course. It was worth each and every penny.

To be frank, I didn't need all those long hours of personal tutoring advertised elsewhere. I needed just what this course offered me, content. A well structured and fully functional online course that covered almost all there is to it in teaching English as a foreign language with the latest in the world of education and adapted to the new technologies. If possible, I wanted them to administer all this in small doses that I could adapt to my everyday stress. Well, they give you 6 months for that and all sorts of solutions so you see the light at the end of the tunnel and you get your beloved certificate with good grades. There was not a single day that I felt my money was squandered. I received support and I learned a lot. That mid term activity was hard but I have the satisfaction of accomplishing something valuable. I thank the academy for such a nice job and I fully recommend it.

The TEFL Academy has been really helpful in helping me learn what I need to so that I can be a teacher that teaches English as a foreign language. I will take all of this with me as I continue on when my professional and academic life. Each of the units was really thought out and gave a sense of what was expected of the student to learn. Most of the lessons and activities from the units will be useful in the future also as I try to keep my students engaged in what they are learning. I chose this course as it’s level 5. I decided this was more worthwhile than doing a level 3 (120 hour) course as it would give me more employment options. I chose this particular level 5 course as it is well accredited and affordable. I chose this course over a CELTA as CELTA is only for teaching adults whereas I wanted a flexible qualification that would allow me to work with children also.
I did consider the Trinity CertTESOL, which is Level 5 the same as The TEFL Academy, but it was very expensive so The TEFL Academy was an affordable alternative for me.
I was very happy with this course. The content is everything you need to be able to teach adults and children. It’s not an easy course as in particular the assignments are challenging and time consuming, but it’s worth it to obtain a Level 5 TEFL that will be desirable to employers.

As someone who was already tutoring EFL parttime and wanted to pursue it as a career, I found I already knew about most areas being taught but this served as a confidence boost in my abilities as a teacher. It also helped me find some very useful material to use in lessons. The staff were great on the phone and the feedback on coursework was fast, informative and uplifting. 6 months completion time is largely doable if you can organise it around work or other studies. Each lesson slide takes about an hour and I put aside an hour a day for two weeks on each assignment.

I was initially cautious to try learning online as it wasn't something I had ever done before. The TEFL Academy was accessible and highly enjoyable. I learnt so much about the English language I didn't already know as a native speaker. The course was well structured and easy to follow. Every stage built on your previous knowledge and explained new terms easily. The content was varied and doing it online worked well with my other commitments. Despite being online, I was engaged throughout. The support team was also great at responding quickly to any questions I had.

I just completed the Online Level 5 TEFL course with The TEFL Academy. The course covered a good range of content that I found engaging. The website worked well and I had a hassle free experience with no problems to report. I'd recommend them. For what you get it's good value for money. I compared many online TEFL providers before choosing The TEFL Academy and as far as I could see they are the best in terms of price and having now completed their course the experience was also of good value. Overall it was a good experience.
