This course included a great wealth of teaching resources as well as a user-friendly interface. The system includes 3 assignments and multiple choice questions at the end of every module to test your knowledge of what was learnt in the module. I felt these were done well and you are given ample time to complete these quizzes. At times the second assignment was quite tedious to do. I enjoyed the 3rd assignment which allowed me to make use of my creativity. I have not learnt only teaching methods, but also the terminology of grammar points as well as the history of English as a language.

I recently just finished my level 5 TEFL course through the TEFL Academy and I couldn’t be happier! Not only am I glad that I finally finished, but also that I have TEFL Academy as a reference. At first I didn’t know what to expect, but the course is designed in such a way that I knew what was expected of me every step of the way as well as why I needed to do the various activities or units. The TEFL Academy has provided such a great learning platform that really prepares you for the real TEFL world and classroom. It wasn’t always that easy and it was an adjustment to get used to, seeing that it was much different than my university coursework, but at the end of the day, I am proud to say I got my certificate from TEFL Academy!

This was a fantastic course, organized and structured very well. I feel that the graders have great constructive feedback and I learned a lot from the course! It is definitely the real deal and it takes dedication to successfully complete it, but in the end it creates confident ESL teachers. I do wish there was a little more instruction on teaching ESL to online/distant learners as well as small children. Overall I am very happy with the program and all of the knowledge I have acquired. The website and lessons are user friendly and easy to navigate, and I never needed technical help, however help appears to be very accessible. One tip for American students taking the course is to research the grading scale before turning in the assignments because I was upset with my “66” but it turns out with the European scale that is a really good grade!

I retired from classroom teaching some years ago and have been fortunate to be able to fulfill a lifelong dream of developing a property in the beautiful Nyanga mountains of Zimbabwe. There were two factors that motivated me to do this course however. Firstly, I've spent most of my savings on this project, and secondly, at 60 years young, I was restless and found I really missed teaching. Going back to the classroom is not an option for me, and the idea of teaching students online from the sanctuary of my mountain retreat was very appealing.

I was advised to find a Level 5 Ofqual course of at least 160 hours with good online support and after some searching, came across the TEFL Academy Online Level 5 TEFL Course which ticked all the boxes, and it was affordable!! I enrolled with some trepidation, as I haven't studied for many years and my computer skills are very basic, but from the get go, I felt I was fully supported. I learnt very quickly when I failed my first attempt at a Unit test, that this course would be demanding, and required my full concentration. This is not a qualification that is given away lightly, and I had to really work hard. But this made it all worthwhile and has given me a huge respect for EFL teachers and the work they do. I've taught English as a first language for years, and yet I learnt so much on this course. I would recommend it to all English teachers, regardless of their current teaching status, in particular for old hands like myself who need an upgrade. I was easily able to navigate my way through the step-by-step instructions and am very grateful for being shown the many resources available online.

I can now look forward to many more fruitful years of teaching!

I saw many online offers of TEFL courses but in order to go extra mile I decided to take TEFL lvl 5. My decision of Tefl Academy appeared to be a great choice. User friendly web page with loads of information and external study materials. Valuable feedback to assignments helped me to understand more about teaching and approach to different structures of classes. It was a challenge some days as you probably won't be able to finish this course over the weekend (unlike some other 120 hrs Tefl courses) but totally worth the effort.

When I first started the course I had no idea what I’d be in for. I thought that it would be an easy click away course but I found it to be a lot harder than expected on the pleasant side. This really informed me fully of the background and process of teaching English abroad. This course has enabled me to have the opportunity to work and live over seas. It is a great investment as the money you will make from working will be way more than what you’ve paid for the course. The helpline is efficient.

I began the level 5 course in my final year of high school. I finished it recently. I chose to take the course because I thought I could use the skills it taught during my gap year.

Although I'm unable to travel during this time because of the global pandemic, this was still a valuable learning experience. As the we adapt, so does the academic world. Many universities in South Africa are providing classes online. I'm really grateful for having taken this course online, as I had to develop a good work ethic and needed to learn to improve my time management. I think that, should a situation arise that requires universities to 'go online' again, I'll feel more confident about studying and working from home than I would've without the experience.

I think that the content provided and the ease that one can navigate the website with also made my first online learning experience more enjoyable.

During lockdown in the UK, I was able to focus my attention on the TEFL Course which is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I found the website to be clear and easy to navigate around. The content was also exceptional. I enjoyed working through the units and I found the tests to be a great way to solidify my knowledge.
