I started this course to get more help and understanding about how to improve my teaching online. I was impressed by the level of content! It has a complete package of material from basics of english words, tenses, structures, reading, writing, listening, and speaking to fundamental teaching skills you need like managing a class, setting up a workspace at home, and keeping students motivated. There are lots of examples to inspire you to create teaching plans and activities for your future students! If you take this course then write down all the new idea you learn for teaching. Take lots of notes and bookmark the external links you find in the course! They are really excellent!

quizes are all multiple choice and easy
some sections are very long while others are too short
lacks an exercise to pracise making a lesson plan which would be very good if they had it!

while the content was good and very informative, it would have been more user friendly if there has been an audio version to each lesson; making it easier on the eyes. the constant assessment after each topic provided constistent feedback on your progress and was an excellent gauge of my understanding. i was able to learn quite a bit of new content knoweledge in a very simple understandable way. i would recommend this course to anyone who want to become more adept at understanding and using english language.

At the onset of the course the staff were very supportive and readily available to assist me with any issues that I encountered.
The information was well put together and it was good to revise some of the content. Practical ideas were evident and the material was rich. I was very impressed and engulfed in completing the course. I made notes and I used the various examples. I am happy that I was able to participate and achieve from this course. It was a rewarding experience from the comfort of my home at my own pace.

The lessons are relevant and worthy if you're hoping to know more about English language as well as teaching it whether online or in person. If you're new, its an effective platform to learn and enhance your English language both written and oral. For me as an experienced ESL teacher, it's a great experience and skill to carry on with my profession as a classroom teacher as well. I greatly recommend this to those who wants to have the best platform in learning English language! More power, God bless.

This course had valuable information on how to teach English. Well-expressed, easy to navigate, and enjoyable! The online experience was flexible, it allowed me to adjust the time spent on this course with my studies. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in teaching languages or otherwise, as many tips are also well-applicable to other jobs or everyday duties and foster skills in communication and writing. For me, this course was definitely worth the money and time. I am looking forward to finding a job overseas.

This opened up a whole new world of adventure for me. Thankful that course material is challenging but also can be comprehended at any level of English. So it stretched my brain muscles and was wonderful to see all other opportunities that this certification holds. I was delighted to find that not only did course cover extensive English, but also the practical side of how to relate in terms of teaching tips.

Gives a 360 degree angle on TEFL

Course composition was great

Learning on this platform was easy, and the quizzes were helpful. There was a clear use of prompts at times and obvious clues to the answers. In other words, they really want you to learn and succeed, and the multiple attempts at the quizzes and the exam really take the edge off. Also, it's good to be able to see the correct answers, to improve further. It became clear that this company aims to employ or at the very least to help employ- so that is a bonus as well. I would recommend this program, and am really hoping it will make me a viable candidate for immediate online work. All said and done though it has already helped in my current classroom work with the Peace Corps.

This course is great because it is very well structured taking you through every step of teaching English to speakers of other languages. Every module provides you with hints and points on how to best engage with your class and ways to manage/adapt your teaching style to be suitable and appropriate to your student's knowledge and age group.
I really enjoyed this course and was so willing to learn so I could apply new methods in my teaching style as much as I could. I managed to finish the course in 2 weeks with dedicated hours of study every day.
I could see a change in the engagement of my students when I have applied new techniques that I have learned throughout this course and this really helped me build up my confidence as a new teacher.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

Going into my experience teaching English as a foreign language overseas, my biggest fear was not being able to effectively connect with and engage my students due to language barriers and cultural differences. I worried that my limited experience in new cultural settings might make it challenging to communicate and build rapport.

I overcame this fear by investing time in learning about the local culture and customs, actively seeking feedback from students and colleagues, and adapting my teaching methods to better suit their needs. As I gained more experience and confidence, I realized that being flexible and open to learning from my students greatly enhanced my teaching effectiveness. My views on the issue evolved as I understood that building relationships and understanding local contexts are key to successful teaching abroad.

Answer: One memorable experience from teaching English abroad was organizing a cultural exchange event where my students and I shared stories and traditions from our respective cultures. It was heartwarming to see my students gain confidence in their English-speaking skills and equally rewarding to learn about their backgrounds.

If I could do anything differently, I would have started incorporating these cultural exchange activities earlier in my teaching. They not only made the learning environment more engaging but also helped bridge cultural gaps and fostered a deeper connection with my students. This experience highlighted the importance of integrating cultural elements into language teaching to make lessons more meaningful and interactive.
