Accredited 120-hour TESOL/TEFL Course - World TESOL Academy

4 years ago I found myself in a dark and lonely place. Due to mental health reasons, I had to drop out of law and business school at the end of 2018. I needed to get to know myself and heal. I had a deep desire to go and work in a foreign country in order to achieve this goal. I did some research on a few countries, and South Korea stood out head and shoulders above all of the options I considered. I wanted to go teach English in South Korea. Upon further research, I realized that I needed a degree in order to teach English in South Korea. My own mental health was, at that time, of such a nature, that it was most likely not a good idea to leave my family and go and live alone in a foreign country. I needed to get to know myself. So I set out to study Psychology and Philosophy to better understand myself and the world I live in. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology in 2021 and an Honours degree in Psychology in 2022. I was set for South Korea, except I needed a TEFL qualification. This course has helped me to guarantee a job teaching English in South Korea starting in February this year. A dream 4 years in the making has come true. The course's ease of use, structure, and assistance provided has made the experience extremely positive and meaningful. As I completed each module in the course, I have only become more excited for my journey ahead. The course provides one with good technical knowledge, as well as some practical tips, which I have found extremely meaningful. Thank you.

I’m completely satisfied. In fact, I have improved as a writer but the acquisition of this maturity in my life as a result of this class is very important to me and something that I am very grateful for. I had a very inspiring professor that helped me with my writing and showed me that with practice I can improve my writing. I learned how to use the writing process effectively by learning how to pick my topic, making drafts, getting in groups for peer edits, and revising my writing for a final draft. We did a lot of group work in the class, and that was beneficial. I do not like group work, but it helped me get input from my classmates. There were numerous activities I took part in throughout this course that helped me be more social with my classmates and see from other peoples’ point of view.

My view on writing changed drastically. I have a new respect for authors and readers alike. I developed more strength and overcome major areas I struggled with throughout my English education just in this one course. For example, another aspect of writing I have always struggled with a little was putting my thoughts on paper in a manner that is coherent and correct according to what was required. I remember being told numerous times in high school to organize my thoughts or to provide more support and examples. These are some other aspects that I have worked on and improved over this semester and I feel that my work shows this. In fact, the paper I wrote in my diagnostic was really bad and short. The difference in quality and length of my work in my first and last assignment are an excellent example of my improvement as a writer throughout this semester. There are still a couple of things that I do feel I lack the confidence and skill to perform, and that is what I hope to gain in my next English class. I know that from what I have learned this semester and with a little more practice I can overcome all of those issues and I can really develop my writing. This class helped me to acquire the skills I need to become a better writer in college and for my future.
Everything I learned from this English course will be very beneficial to me in the years to come.

I have studied online for the past 5 years and I must say that World Tesol Academy makes it so much easier to do. The entire platform is user friendly and understandable and it was an absolute joy to explore. The content of each lesson was simple yet very informative and I certainly learned a lot about English even though I have been speaking it for years. It was an interesting and valuable course and I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to travel overseas and wanting to work. it creates beautiful opportunities for anyone.

Initially, I thought the course is all video-based, however, the whole class is text-written. Frankly, it was a bit hard for me to finish all the classes, though, I achieved 97 points in the final exam because the overall content was not a rocket-science, especially if you have a background in psychology, social work, or just teaching. I can say this course is a very good resource for acquiring additional teaching materials. Also, if you are new to teaching English, this is the starting point certainly.

Great Program to start your teaching career! It got me a job teaching in Hong Kong and I was able to use my certificate to teach English to young students! I was able to satisfy my dreams of traveling while at the same time teaching young children English as well.

Pros: Simple Teaching Mechanics with lessons on how to plan for young students, fast and easy to do in less than 30 days of full time work

Cons: Difficult to do alone and the motivation must remain high. In turn the hard work can feel slow and not much progress is felt in being made

After I moved to France during the summer, I began to look for potential English teaching jobs for young learners without a qualification. It was both daunting and exhausting as my goal to teach was stunted by my lack of qualification, but I eventually landed on a lucky oppertunity with a company who was willing to let me teach/study through TEFL... Yet, I didn't know what impact it would make on me...

It turned out to be the best decision of my life!!!

Through my journey with TEFL, I have slowly grown to root out how to engage with my students in a more effective, dynamic way by adapting my lessons to different learning styles!

My classroom is now steaming with progress and I cannot believe how much fun my students are having with the techniques I've used that my TEFL course taught me. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! Without this concrete program with clear explanations, I don't know if I would have continued the challenge of being a teacher!!! ~

The World TESOL Academy accredited TESOL course is presented in a clear, easily understandable format, with comprehensive, interesting and practical lessons. Each module of several lessons is followed by a short quiz which can be repeated as many times as necessary until the student is ready for the final test.
