TESOL Final's thoughts

The TESOL course was important for me because it gave structure and confidence to my teaching practice. It helped me understand how students learn a language, how to plan effective lessons, and how to adapt my teaching to different levels and learning styles. Beyond improving my classroom techniques, the course strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, give meaningful feedback, and create a supportive learning environment. Overall, TESOL transformed my experience with English into a solid professional skill and prepared me to teach with purpose and confidence.

What would you improve about this program?
One improvement I would suggest is including more real classroom observation and hands-on practice, especially with different learner levels. While the theory is very useful, having additional opportunities to analyze real lessons, observe experienced teachers, and practice teaching in varied contexts would help bridge the gap between theory and real classroom situations even more effectively.

TESOL Academy Review

The course is comprehensive and informative, I learned a lot. The provided ideas for activities are helpful too. This course will be easy for learners who already have a solid background in English. The only area of improvement that I wish to see is the Online Teaching Module (i.e., providing more teaching techniques for advanced classes or adult learners; providing more online teaching techniques that differs from classroom teaching because of the huge difference in setup; online teaching probably needs more research.) Lessons from the course can also be translated to or used for other work skills. Overall the module is valuable for instructors especially for ESL teachers.

Best Way to Get Into Teaching English

Honestly, for it to be a 120 hour course, the TESOL certification is incredibly worth it. Super digestible, you can see your progress, you can ask for help. There are some modules that are longer than others but everything they teach is necessary if you want to start teaching by your own and the tips are amazing! It is great how they actually provide tips on how to find online jobs and let you know some secrets to getting the demo lessons and the interviews right. Would definitely recommend for people who are travelling and would like to do some online English teaching.

Efficiently Structured, Practical, and Enjoyable Course!

The program was well-structured, with lessons divided into distinct modules, making it easier to follow. There were several examples related to the lessons, including videos of practical application of the lessons in actual classroom settings, which were very helpful and complemented the lessons. The content is high-quality and provides great value for money. Another thing I liked about the course is that it can be completed at your own pace. I really enjoyed the course, and I learnt so many new things which I wasn't expecting!

My Review Of The Course

I found this course helpful, structured, and it provided me some great building blocks to carry into my early teaching career. I found the price of the course to be quite reasonable and accessible to me as well, which was one of the main reasons why I chose it. I am excited that I now have my TEFL and am looking forward to seeing what journeys this will bring me to in the future. Overall, the structure of the course was well laid out, and I felt it was presented in a way that was easy to learn and navigate. Thank you very much!

Great for self-paced learning

I appreciate the modules being self-paced and easily accessible. I got to review each module however slowly I wanted to thoroughly understand the course material and I got supplement it further with research on my own account. I enjoyed the independent set-up and it challenged me to be proactive in learning new concepts from multiple sources. Despite the asynchronous learning set-up, the lack of social interaction was made up for through embedded videos that helped in demonstrating useful teaching techniques done by gradates from the course now in their respective jobs.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Not supplementing enough with more images, youtube videos, and external sources to support my notes and studies

Amazing course

This teacher training course exceeded my expectations in every possible way and has had a genuinely transformative impact on my professional practice. From the very beginning, it was clear that the course was thoughtfully designed with real educators in mind—teachers who face the daily challenges of diverse classrooms, limited time, and the constant need to adapt to students’ evolving needs.

One of the greatest strengths of this course was its balance between theory and practice. Educational concepts were not presented as abstract ideas, but as tools that could be immediately applied in the classroom. Each module built logically on the previous one, allowing for steady growth in understanding and confidence. The course content was well-structured, engaging, and clearly grounded in current educational research, yet always translated into practical strategies that felt realistic and achievable.

The instructor was exceptional. Their expertise was evident not only in their deep knowledge of pedagogy, but also in their ability to communicate ideas clearly and enthusiastically. They modeled the very teaching practices they encouraged—active learning, inclusivity, reflection, and student-centered instruction. Feedback was timely, constructive, and genuinely supportive, making the learning experience feel personal rather than transactional. It was clear that the instructor was deeply invested in the success and growth of every participant.

Another standout aspect of the course was its emphasis on reflection and professional growth. Opportunities to reflect on one’s own teaching practices were woven throughout, encouraging meaningful self-assessment rather than superficial completion of tasks. These reflective components helped me identify areas for improvement while also recognizing and building upon my strengths as an educator. As a result, I feel more intentional, confident, and purposeful in my teaching decisions.

The course also fostered a strong sense of community among participants. Collaborative discussions, shared experiences, and peer feedback created a supportive learning environment where ideas could be exchanged openly. Learning from other educators with diverse backgrounds and perspectives enriched the course immensely and reinforced the idea that teaching is both a personal and collective journey. This sense of connection made the course motivating and inspiring, rather than isolating or overwhelming.

What truly sets this course apart is its relevance to real classroom challenges. Topics such as classroom management, differentiated instruction, assessment strategies, and student engagement were addressed with honesty and practicality. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, the course encouraged flexibility, creativity, and responsiveness to students’ individual needs. I walked away with a toolbox of strategies that I can adapt to different contexts, age groups, and learning styles.

Overall, this course has had a lasting impact on my approach to teaching. I feel better equipped to support my students academically and emotionally, and more confident in my role as an educator. It reignited my passion for teaching and reminded me why continuous professional development is so valuable. I would highly recommend this course to both new and experienced teachers who are looking to deepen their practice, refresh their perspective, and grow with intention. It is not just a course—it is an investment in better teaching and better learning outcomes.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would most definitely study more and a lot more effort into the time i put into it.

World TESOL Academy Experience

As an English teacher currently working in Thailand, my experience with World TESOL Academy was both meaningful and practical. The course was well-structured and easy to follow, even while managing a full teaching schedule. I appreciated how the lessons clearly connected theory to real classroom situations, especially in areas such as classroom management, student motivation, assessment, and teaching young learners, teenagers, and adults. Many of the concepts were directly applicable to my daily teaching, which helped me become more reflective and confident as an educator. The flexibility of the course allowed me to study at my own pace, and the quizzes reinforced key ideas effectively. I would highly recommend World TESOL Academy to teachers who want a solid foundation and practical tools for ESL teaching in an international context.

What was your funniest moment?
One of my funniest moments was realizing how often I paused mid-lesson to reflect on my own teaching habits while taking the course. I would catch myself thinking, “Ah, I do that in class!” or “Now I finally understand why that works.” It was funny but also satisfying to see how theory suddenly made sense when connected to my real classroom experiences in Thailand.
Pros
  • Flexible, self-paced learning that fit well with my full-time teaching schedule
  • Practical content that could be immediately applied in real ESL classrooms
  • Clear explanations and well-designed quizzes that reinforced understanding
Cons
  • Limited opportunities for live interaction or peer discussion
  • Some topics could benefit from additional real classroom video examples
  • The course focuses more on content mastery than personalized instructor feedback.
