Thanks to TESOL and My Supportive Employer

Thank you, TESOL, and thank God I was enrolled in this course! I’m so grateful to my previous employer, who paid for me to take this course for free. She knew exactly what I needed and wanted to help me grow and prepare for better opportunities in the future. Balancing work, family, and other commitments while studying was challenging at times, but the course was well-structured, and the lessons were clear and suited to my level every step of the way. I feel proud of what I’ve achieved, more confident in my skills, and excited to apply what I’ve learned in my career.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
My most nerve-racking moment was trying to balance work, family responsibilities, and completing the course at the same time. There were days I felt overwhelmed and doubted whether I could keep up. I overcame it by creating a strict schedule, staying organized, and reminding myself of why I was doing the course—to grow professionally and prepare for better opportunities. The support from my employer and the clear, well-structured lessons also helped me stay motivated and confident.
Pros
  • Supportive and Encouraging Teachers – They guided me every step of the way, making learning easier and more enjoyable.
  • Flexible and Well-Structured Lessons – The course fit into my busy schedule, allowing me to balance work, family, and studying.
  • Boosted Confidence and Practical Skills – I feel more confident applying what I’ve learned in my career and daily life.
Cons
  • Balancing Commitments Was Challenging – Managing work, family, and studying at the same time was sometimes stressful.
  • Time Management Required Discipline – Some lessons required extra focus and planning to complete on time.
  • Limited Interaction in Certain Lessons – While the course was well-structured, a few lessons could have included more opportunities for live interaction or discussion.

TESOL 120 hours Course - Experience Review

Completing this course was a transformative experience that deepened both my pedagogical understanding and my commitment to inclusive language educational teaching.

As someone actively preparing for LINC instructor roles in Montreal/Canada, I found the course highly relevant to the realities of newcomer education in Canada.

Joining this course, I gained methodological clarity: I explored key teaching frameworks such as PPP, TTT, and TBL, learning how to adapt lessons based on responses and real-time classroom dynamics. I appreciated the focus on learner-centered approaches, especially in a diverse classroom.

The course reinforced my belief that dignity and empathy must guide classroom management and resource design. I practiced creating lesson plans, adapting authentic materials, and integrating pronunciation, intonation, and vocabulary instruction into communicative tasks.

From my point of view, or a personal reflection as a bilingual educator fluent in Arabic and English, the course strengthened my ability to bridge linguistic and cultural gaps. I especially valued the opportunity to reflect on how the course was developed, the skills, abilities, and techniques of teaching English.

Thanks a lot for all these efforts
Mohammed

TESOL XP Feedback

It was a great experience and worth it! Lessons are something that can be useful in actual teaching.

I like the structure that, in the first part, they did include on how to navigate the website for the convenience of the learners, secondly, a refresher for the fundamentals of the English language and hands-on information on how this will be taught. Lastly, additional topics pertaining to be a successful English teacher. I highly recommend this for all people planning to teach English whether local or abroad.
