Extensive Course Material

The material was well put together and very helpful in my opinion. Even while being a native English speaker, there were many useful tips that I appreciated being a part of the content. 120 hours took me over a few weeks to get through which I didn’t really expect to happen. I thought I was going to get through it sooner. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the mini quizzes at the end of each section and the teaching video examples shown. Additionally, the shopping links provided for efficient teaching equipment was appreciated as well.

Great course overall!

What would you improve about this program?
There were some minor grammar errors. I would suggest reading through the content again. I can’t remember exactly where the errors are.
Pros
  • Video Examples
  • Mini quizzes
  • Helpful links
Cons
  • Very lengthy

World TESOL Academy: Transformed My Teaching!

This 120-hour TESOL course exceeded all expectations. The curriculum was brilliantly designed, seamlessly blending theoretical knowledge with highly practical, immediately applicable strategies. I wasn't just learning concepts; I was gaining a toolbox of real-world techniques I could use in my classroom from day one. The emphasis on diverse learning styles and adapting lessons to different contexts was particularly valuable. The instructors were a click away and were always available for my queries. I highly recommend this course to anyone serious about improving their ESL/EFL teaching skills.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
"The plausibility of some questions and choices challenged me to perform a more thorough analysis."

  • Flexible
  • improve analysis
  • self-paced

I would definitely recommend !

Even though I started this program in order to teach English, the recap lessons about grammar actually taught me a thing or two I either never realized or never learned myself in English class. The modules all give advice on how to teach English, and the tutors/mentors you can talk to when you're in doubt or have a question are always super nice and very reactive. Therefore my global experience was very positive and I would definitely recommend this program to someone else who wants to teach English. The only side note is that it's mainly focused on teaching younger students so if you want to teach adult beginners, you would have to adapt a bit more to the tips given in the lessons, in order not to be too childish in your approach. However, towards the end of the program, each lesson has advice for every type of student (children to adults) on how to manage/interact/keep motivation/etc.

What would you improve about this program?
As it's mainly focus on teaching younger students and not adult beginners, I would maybe add a little lesson on teaching adult beginners, even though I know there is another certification for it ...
Pros
  • Recaps of English grammar and vocabulary
  • Lots of advice on how to teach a fun/not boring way
  • Videos to show examples in real-life situations
Cons
  • Videos only with young children learning ...

worth it!

I have been teaching English in Iran for more than two years and considering the situation of our country, it was difficult for me to find a cost-effective course to attend. I came across this amazing course and I contacted them and they were so helpful with the payment process that I had an issue with. An the course itself was so informative as a new teacher and it broadened my horizons. I completely recommend it to teachers who seek a career as a foreign teacher which will provide them with many opportunities around the world.

Teaching Techniques

I thoroughly enjoyed the course. It opened my eyes to so many possibilities and the different ways the English language can be taught to yield more results.

What particularly stood out was how the course demonstrated diverse teaching techniques I hadn't previously considered. While I was familiar with some basic concepts, the course deepened my understanding and provided fresh perspectives on their application. It also reignited my passion for teaching.

The course served as both a professional development opportunity and a source of inspiration, reminding me why I chose to take up the course in the first place.

Pros
  • I was able to match theories with previous amateur teaching experience
  • Most of the skills learnt can be used outside of the classroom also.

120-hour TESOL/TEFL course

I want to share my experience with the 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course that I completed in 2023 through an online modality. It was a truly transformative journey that I believe every aspiring English teacher should consider. The course was exceptionally detailed, providing a comprehensive understanding of the English language—its structure, components, and the intricate way it works. I learned not only the technical aspects of the language but also the most effective strategies for teaching it to a diverse range of learners. It covered everything I needed to know to become a skilled and confident English teacher, from lesson planning and classroom management to fostering language acquisition in students.

Taking this course was not just an academic endeavor but also a deeply enriching personal experience. It gave me the tools and confidence to touch lives through education—not just the lives of my Filipino students but also those of foreign students if I pursue my plan to teach abroad. This course expanded my horizons, enhanced my teaching skills, and broadened my perspective on the global impact of language education.

It is with great pride and gratitude that I reflect on this milestone in my professional development. I am genuinely thankful for the privilege of taking this course, as it has prepared me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my students, wherever they may be. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the rewarding field of English teaching and to make a lasting impact through education.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
One of the most nerve-cracking moments I encountered during my journey with the 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course was when I realized I was racing against time to complete it within my timeline. Balancing this rigorous course with my daily responsibilities was a challenge I hadn’t fully anticipated. The pressure to meet deadlines, absorb the material, and maintain my usual work and family obligations pushed me to my limits.

There were days when I felt overwhelmed, questioning whether I could juggle everything. The course required intense focus and dedication—each module was detailed and packed with critical information about grammar, teaching strategies, and methodologies. I knew that if I didn’t pace myself well, I risked falling behind and compromising my dream of finishing on time.

What made this moment even more intense was my self-imposed commitment to do my best. I wasn’t just aiming to pass the course—I wanted to truly understand the material and gain the skills that would make me an effective teacher. This internal drive turned into an almost addictive need to study. I found myself waking up earlier than usual and staying up late into the night, pouring over lessons and practice exercises.

Despite the pressure, there was also an exhilarating sense of purpose. The closer I got to the finish line, the more determined I became. I realized that this intense period of hard work was not just about earning a certificate—it was about equipping myself for a future where I could inspire and teach students, whether in the Philippines or abroad.

In the end, that nerve-cracking moment taught me the power of perseverance and time management. It was a test of my commitment to my goals, and looking back, I am incredibly proud of how I pushed through. The sense of accomplishment when I finally completed the course was indescribable, and it reaffirmed my belief that challenges, no matter how daunting, are stepping stones to growth.
Pros
  • Professional growth and development
  • Knowledgeable teaching foreign students
  • Broaden ideas and perspectives in English Language

An Excellent Course To Get Started With As An Overseas English Teacher

The program is fairly easy to follow and is mostly focused on problem-solving and concrete milestones that constitute offline and online teaching alike. I personally found it a little lacking in theory and at times excessive with detailed repetition, which in turn accounts for being sufficiently meticulous and helpful to suit virtually anybody. I'm not sure I can properly evaluate the tutoring ecosystem as it was presented within the program since I never encountered an issue to contact the tutors about throughout the course. Overall I had a smooth, satisfying, hassle-free experience with this program. Hoping it will prove useful to me in the near future.
