This program was highly informative, and I felt extremely excited and motivated at the start of the course. However, my enthusiasm began to wane after completing Module 3. Some of the modules were overly lengthy and tedious to read, which made it challenging to stay engaged. Additionally, there wasn’t much to hold me accountable apart from the quizzes, which could be retaken an unlimited number of times without any time restrictions. Despite these shortcomings, I’m ultimately grateful for the program, as it has equipped me with the tools to begin teaching online.

What would you improve about this program?
I would improve the active engagement to keep the student accountable and on their toes, so that they do not loose interest or focus. This could be achieved with short activity submissions perhaps with an AI or automated tutor respondent as well as timed quiz sessions, at least for the module section.
Pros
  • well designed
  • helpful tutors
  • quick response time from tutors
Cons
  • more interactive

Grateful

I have learned many things in this course. Some of the content was intuitive and easy to figure out, but other sections were more complicated than others but through reading carefuly and taking ontes from the course I was able to learn everything I need. If you are consistent and are properly motivated you can quickly finish this course. Taking this course has now drawn me to the other courses, and in the future I plan to finish the other courses avaliable in this platform. Im glad I took this course and I know these skills I have learned will benefit me for the rest of my life.

Really Exceptional

The platform interface was very user-friendly, and the course contents were broken down into bits that were easy to understand each time.

Overall, I believe I have gained so much and have better insights into what it takes to teach English as a second language.
Really glad to have taken up this course, it was worth the time and money.

The additional videos added were really helpful in better understanding each lesson, the course contents were well thought out and took from simple to complex. I believe every learner would really enjoy this course.

What would you improve about this program?
It would be great after completing this course to have an internship opportunity, It could be virtual or physical. I really believe this would help learners who are probably not actively ready to teach yet, to still have the experience of teaching English as a second language.

Best course

This was a very good, engaging and learning course. I am an educator myself and I must say once I started I could not stop the modules. The contents were very specific to teaching English in different forms to various types of learners. I started the modules with the intention to complete it slowly probably half a module a day but the contents were engaging. Of course some areas at times read to looking for specific information but it was engaging material majority of the times. I would recommend others this course as I got the life time subscription.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Do it.
Pros
  • Good course with self pace
  • Rewarding system
  • Not let you bored.

120-hour TEFL/TESOL course

Taking the 120-hour TEFL/TESOL course was a truly rewarding experience. The course was well-structured, easy to navigate, and filled with practical, up-to-date content. It covered everything from grammar and classroom management to lesson planning and teaching methodologies all essential for anyone preparing to teach English abroad or online.

I particularly appreciated how the course emphasized real world teaching strategies, and the quizzes after each module helped reinforce what I learned. The explanations were clear, and even complex topics were broken down in a way that made them easy to understand.

The flexibility of studying at my own pace was a huge bonus, especially since I have a busy schedule. The support team was also responsive and helpful whenever I had questions.

Overall, I feel confident and well-prepared to start my journey as an English teacher. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone serious about teaching English professionally.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
One nerve-wracking moment for me was driving a car alone for the first time. I had just learned how to drive, and my father would always assist me because I was too nervous to drive solo. One day, I needed to go to the city to get the car’s oil changed. I asked my father to drive, but he told me, “You can do it, just drive slow.” I did, and when I arrived safely, I felt so overjoyed. It really boosted my confidence.
Pros
  • The course was flexible and allowed me to study at my own pace.
  • The lessons were easy to understand and well-organized.
  • It gave me practical teaching tips that boosted my confidence.
Cons
  • Some modules felt a bit repetitive at times.
  • I wish there were more interactive or video-based lessons.
  • The course could benefit from more real-life classroom examples.

Informative and fun

I've enjoyed taking this exam. The lessons are professionally tailored, and there's a sprinkle of fun in every lesson. I've noticed that some lessons did not appear in the final quiz, but that's alright because I've taken notes (just as you instructed), hoping to be able to apply those techniques and methods once I'm overseas. If I'm to change anything concerning this test, I would consider, even though it might sound a bit hard to apply, live sessions or even having a teacher record their voice to either answer questions or be tested in terms of pronunciation.

What would you improve about this program?
I would spice things up a notch in the final quiz by focusing on juicy content, such as methods of assessment and teaching styles.
Pros
  • easy to follow - the language is accessible
  • easy to answer
  • doesn't take too long

My interesting experience with the World TESOL Academy.

A Journey Worth Taking: My Experience with the World TESOL Academy

Having recently completed my TESOL/TEFL certification with the World TESOL Academy, I feel compelled to share what has been nothing short of an enriching and empowering journey. As someone passionate about language and the power of communication, this course opened doors I hadn’t even imagined existed.

From the start, the World TESOL Academy impressed me with its sleek and intuitive platform. The course materials were accessible online, meaning I could study at my own pace, on my own schedule, whether nestled in a quiet café or tucked into the corner of my living room with a steaming cup of tea. For teachers already juggling demanding workloads, this flexibility is an absolute gift.

What makes the programme so compelling is not just its practicality, but its depth. The modules covered everything from linguistic theory and classroom management to intercultural communication and lesson planning. Real classroom scenarios were woven throughout the course, bringing the concepts to life. I particularly appreciated the insights into teaching students from diverse backgrounds, it challenged my assumptions and gave me strategies to foster inclusivity in my future classrooms.

A delightful surprise was discovering that the World TESOL Academy partners with employers worldwide. Upon completion, you're not only certified but also eligible to connect with global job opportunities. That’s a rare and invaluable feature for anyone looking to teach English abroad or online. I’ve already started exploring positions in Asia and the Middle East, something I never thought would be within reach so quickly.

The support team deserves special mention too. They responded promptly and kindly to every query I had, be it about course content or certification procedures. It didn’t feel like I was interacting with a faceless organisation; there was a genuine human touch, which is becoming increasingly rare in online education.

Interesting fact: the World TESOL Academy has certified thousands of teachers from over 80 countries. The sense of being part of a larger teaching community is palpable, and their alumni network is a resource I intend to lean into more as I continue my teaching journey.

If you're a teacher contemplating a career switch, or just yearning to deepen your skill set, I wholeheartedly recommend this course. It’s affordable, comprehensive, and designed for real people with real lives. In a world increasingly bridged by language, this certification offers not just a qualification but an invitation, to connect, inspire, and make a genuine impact.

I'm conclusion, the World TESOL Academy didn’t just teach me how to teach, it reminded me why I wanted to in the first place.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
If I were to do this again, I would even be more intentional about this course so that I can have 100% instead of 97.3%. Through this learning experience, I have been more empowered with the required 21st century knowledge and skills and strategies to effectively and efficiently work with students whose first language is not English.

Thank you.
Pros
  • I have been empowered to teach effectively and efficiently.
  • I love the strategies shared for teaching and learning each course. As a teacher, I have new ways or methods to do what I have been doing before. I love the experience!
  • This is the best and most interactive course I have ever done. I was actively engaged from the beginning to the end of the course. It's worth it!
Cons
  • The assessments were on point. I was able to challenge myself to answer those questions correctly.
  • I had to stay late to complete every task and practice what I have learned.
  • Thank you.
