Impact 🌎

At INTRO our commitment to a sustainable future is a key principle, and the driving force behind our Small Change initiative, which we launched in 2017.

As part of our goal to make a real positive impact to the environment, we partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects in 2019 to plant 10 trees for every booking we received. And as a result we’ve planted tens of thousands of trees, aided reforestation, rehabilitated wildlife and reduced poverty in multiple local communities.

However we wanted to go even further and achieve true sustainability, so in late 2023 we began a new partnership with Path Net Zero to accurately measure our tours emissions, and Veritree to plant trees to offset those emissions.

We are now very proud to say that every INTRO tour is 100% carbon neutral.

Oz Intro travel 28 days - October 2026

This was my first Intro tour and I had such an amazing time! There has not been one moment that I regretted booking this tour and will definitely book another one. Our tour leader Maddie was amazing and brought so much energy to the group! If you had any questions or a personal matter, she would always listen and help in whatever way possible! She really helped make this an unforgettable trip! I would definitely recommend this tour, especially as a solo traveller. It is such an easy way to meet new people and become friends with them in a short time. I was a bit worried at first that everyone would be really young, but the group had a good blend of ages with the average being 22-28. Although it was mainly people from the UK, I did feel there was still good a blend of nationalities. There was a good balance between the time you spend with the group and your own time as well as the activities that are included and ones that you get to book on. That way you can turn it into the best version of the trip for you.

Pros
  • Don’t have to think about any of the travel stuff like transport, accomodation etc.
  • You’ll meet people that will become your friends and who you feel like you’ve known for ages
  • You get to adjust the trip to your own liking with the optional activities
What other participants should know
  • The optional activities were some of my favourite thing I’ve done but it can add up quickly so budget for it
  • There is a good mix of ages, not just really young people
  • There is quite a bit of travelling from one place to the other

28 day Oz intro tour Oct 2026

I had the most amazing 28 days in Australia, the trip was everything I hoped for and more, with so many experiences and friendships made along the way. A huge shoutout to our group leader Maddie, who was honestly the best. She was so funny, caring and supportive, and always made everyone feel comfortable. If I had a concern, she would message/speak to me immediately, which eased all anxieties. I’ve gained so much confidence travelling solo and couldn’t recommend this tour enough. Such an unforgettable month with the best people!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Embrace the whole experience as it was so much fun, and some of the places we visited and activities we experienced felt surreal. We were lucky with the weather, the tour leaders were amazing and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable throughout. One of the biggest highlights was the friendships made along the way. There was a great balance of exploring, activities, group meals and nights out, making it such a memorable experience.
Pros
  • The itinerary was really well organised, with a great mix of activities, group experiences and free time to relax.
  • Our group leader Maddie was amazing, always making everyone feel comfortable, supported and included.
  • It’s such a great way to meet new people, make lifelong friendships and gain confidence travelling solo.
What other participants should know
  • Some travel days can be quite long and tiring, but it’s all part of the experience and definitely worth it.
  • I’d really recommend budgeting for the optional activities, as they were some of my favourite experiences of the trip.
  • Don’t worry if you’re travelling alone, as everyone is really welcoming and you’ll make friends so quickly.

Intro Vietnam - a Holiday to Remember

Words do not do justice to describe the Vietnam trip that I had with Intro Travel! There’s was a great variety of activities, and we even got to make our own lantern souvenirs! There’s a good amount of structured activities and free time, everything was organised so well and my group leader Phat handled unexpected issues very well. He was informative, explained things like schedules/plans well, and got on well with everyone in the group. The tour covered a lot of the country, you get to see the hustle and bustle of the city/urban areas like Hanoi, as well as the quieter areas like Ninh Binh, and the magical “heaven on Earth” that is Ha Long Bay. Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Vietnam!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Riding a bike in some of the streets of Ninh Binh
Pros
  • Variety of activities
  • Great and informative group leader
  • There are both structured activities and free time to explore on your own
What other participants should know
  • Tipping isn’t expected by Intro travel but is by locals
  • Expect people to approach you offering things to sell
  • Translation apps are helpful

Amazing South Africa Experience!

My second time to South Africa with INTRO Travel! Shout out to Liezl, made the whole trip incredibly fun. Absolutely love this country

The itinerary is well balanced and the group we had was really fun, I love all the accommodations and the activities included, plus we got the chance to join a few additional game drives during the free time too

It’s good value for money and we felt safe and supported throughout

The wine, food and service was all good. Highly recommend this tour, and shoutout to Liezl!

What was your funniest moment?
Watching some of the groups doing the adventure activities and the funny videos we got from that!
Pros
  • Safe group travel
  • Fun activities
  • Professional driver & leader
What other participants should know
  • Come with an open mind
  • It’s a South Africa trip, not a safari trip
  • Don’t expect 5 star accom (still comfortable but basic)
Response from Intro Travel

Hey Bradley, round two in South Africa! We love that this country keeps calling you back. Those extra game drives sound like a pretty great bonus, and we’re glad Liezl helped make this trip such a good one.

Kind Regards,
The INTRO Travel Team

South Island NZ tour

I had the most amazing time exploring New Zealand’s South Island with Into Travel, and while the scenery and experiences were incredible, the absolute highlight of my trip was our tour guide, Sel.

From the very beginning, Sel made everyone feel so welcome. She was genuinely one of us rather than just our tour guide, and she created such a lovely, safe and inclusive environment where we could all connect and grow closer as a group. She struck the perfect balance between bringing us together and giving us our own time and space to enjoy the experience in our own way.

What made Sel so special was how genuinely she cared about each and every one of us. She took the time to get to know everyone individually, listened to our stories and made us feel seen and valued. It never felt like she was just doing a job; she was truly invested in making sure we all had the best possible experience.

One moment that really stood out to me was when someone in our group needed extra support. Sel went above and beyond to make sure she received the care and attention she needed. I think this is such an important quality in a tour guide, especially when travelling somewhere new. Knowing you have someone looking out for you, who genuinely cares not only about you having an amazing time but also about your safety and wellbeing, makes such a difference.

Sel brought so much more to this trip than just showing us around New Zealand. She helped create an environment where strangers became friends, memories were made, and everyone felt safe, supported and included.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Into Travel enough, particularly if you have the opportunity to travel with Sel. She is an absolute credit to the company, and the care she puts into her role is something truly special. I’ll look back on this trip with so many amazing memories, and Sel played a huge part in making it what it was.

Thank you, Sel, for making this trip so memorable! 💛

What was your funniest moment?
Hiking Mount John together as a group, sharing hilarious stories, bringing the best vibes and having the music going! One of those moments where everyone was laughing, the energy was unmatched, and you realised how lucky you were to be surrounded by such a great bunch of people and unmatched scenery.
Pros
  • Having the best tour guide Sel <3
  • All the driving done for you - no stress of driving, directions, parking etc.
  • Having the options of partaking in activities or doing your own thing!

Florinel George Tudor

Bali

Why did you choose this program?

Ever since visiting Thailand in 2020 (right before the lockdown), I became fascinated with what Southeast Asia has to offer. The traditions, amazing views, and the warmth of the people are things I always remember fondly, so it was just a matter of time until I returned. The opportunity came quickly: two friends and I were coming back from a ski trip one late evening when the topic of this year’s vacation came up, and in just one minute, we collectively decided on Bali.

What did your program provider (or university) assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?

The tour included accommodations: a hotel in Canggu, a private villa in Lovina, twin rooms in Gili Trawangan and Ubud, transport mainly by van between locations and boat rides, and some meals, primarily breakfast. I only needed to purchase the flight and set aside some pocket money for snacks, drinks, and extra activities.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

Don’t hold back! Take it all in and go all out. Strike up conversations with your fellow travelers, enjoy karaoke in the van while on the road, and share your funniest stories. Savor the local food, dance when your favorite song comes on, or better yet, sing it! Explore during your free time: for example, I ran from the hotel in Canggu to Tanah Lot Temple, which we visited the next day, and did two laps around the island while in Gili Trawangan.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

A typical day starts with breakfast, which may or may not include hangover from last night’s party. The group leader arrives, does a quick headcount, and announces our scheduled activity for the day. During this time, the group is mostly quiet, with only small talk present. After the first activity, the group’s energy rises during lunch, where jokes can be heard all around. The second activity brings joy to everyone, as each person gives their best to have fun or excel. By dinner, spirits are high— and not just the ones in the glasses—and reflections on the day’s funniest moments are shared aloud for all to enjoy.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

For me personally, I have a fear of deep water and I'm not a strong swimmer, so surfing and snorkeling felt like challenges I had to overcome. Surprisingly, surfing went much better than I expected; I enjoyed it so much that I didn't want to take a break. Snorkeling was another pleasant surprise. Last year, I couldn’t stay in the water for long, but this time I completed the whole activity thanks to my friends, who made sure I was okay—checking that my mask was properly fitted and keeping an eye on me. I’m truly grateful for their support.

What is your favorite travel memory?

It’s very hard to name one favourite travel memory, as no trip is ever the same, and even if you return to the country you’ve been before, you’ll always have a new favourite memory!

But if I have to name one, it’s going to be the volcano sunrise hike in Bali! Watching the sun come up on the horizon from the top of an active volcano is such a once in a lifetime experience!

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I’ve realised that travelling with a group is the best way to travel!

Whenever I used to go travelling, I would go all by myself and try to meet new people along the way. But that isn’t always easy if you only have a week or two to spend in a country.

But if you come with a group of like minded people from day one until the end, it changes the whole experience completely!

IT’S DOUBLE THE FUN IF YOU CAN SHARE IT WITH SOMEONE!

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

“Adrian! We’re planning a reunion with the whole group next month! You need to come!”

Hearing that people who were strangers to each other before coming on a tour, are now becoming best friends and planning reunions and next trips together, is just the best thing you can possibly hear from someone.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would definitely choose the 13-day Japan Adventure!

Japan is just this this country that blends in ultramodern cities, very rich history and culture with some of the most beautiful nature as well!

From the Bullet train ride, to a Samurai experience, Mount Fuji, Sushi making class and so much more!
This tour has all you need when you come to Japan!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

#SmallChange

It’s our initiative towards responsible travel. We not only encourage people to reduce single-use plastics, participate in beach cleanups, but also support local communities and engage in cultural exchange.

It’s great to see how people start using reusable water bottles, buy locally made products, or teach local people few English words.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

To be a successful company, you have to be passionate about what you do and make sure you keep your employees happy.

I believe that if you’ll keep these things in order, your employees are going to go that extra mile for you and your customers, no matter what problems you’ll face, you’ll always get through it.
