Within these 12 weeks of being in Barcelona, I have made countless memories & friendships that will last a lifetime. Everyone on the programme has been so supportive and helpful when I have had any queries or questions regarding the NIE and other Spanish administrative tasks. The trips to Girona and Figueres were excellent and thank you to Marcelo, Charlie, and all the other Absolute staff for making it possible. My internship here has also been extremely beneficial for me, gaining my first professional work experience after graduating in 2023. Being able to do this in a new country, surrounded by the numerous cultures that Barcelone has to offer, is certainly an experience I would recommend to anyone.

My Absolute Internship experience in Barcelona as a design student was truly transformative. Working with a small skincare company, I gained hands-on experience in design and marketing, while immersing myself in the vibrant culture of the city.

The internship allowed me to apply my design skills in a real-world setting, contributing to packaging designs, marketing materials, and social media graphics. The guidance and support from the professionals at the company were invaluable in enhancing my abilities and understanding the industry. Being in Barcelona provided a rich cultural experience, with its inspiring atmosphere, diverse design styles, and vibrant festivals. Exploring the city's architecture, art galleries, and design districts expanded my creative horizons.

The program also facilitated connections with talented individuals from around the world, fostering a multicultural environment. Collaborating with fellow interns and professionals allowed for a cross-cultural exchange of ideas and the opportunity to build a global professional network.

Absolute Internship's support was exceptional and gave me a sense of protection in a foreign city including the program coordinators. Olivia was my program manager and from pre-departure guidance to continuous assistance throughout the internship, the staff was responsive, helpful, and attentive.

This program was whole new experience for me, despite being the only lebanese of the group i never felt out of place and alone. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and unique in their own way. I made friends for life and learned quite a lot from this time in paris. From work responsibilities to navigating through the city to making memories with people from all around the world, this internship was my first step out of my home country and my first step out of my comfort zone. The city of paris is unforgettable and the fun always makes me want to go back. I truly believe that without absolute internship I wouldn’t have had the same experience and choice of internship in one of the best legal office for arbitration. Our program coordinator managed to be a support system for all of us at the same time and always making sure we were safe, learning and exploring. I genuinely recommend this program and thank the whole team and the interns at the time for everything, Paris was a blast and i’m even pursuing my masters degree there! So get out, have fun and most importantly grasp this opportunity! You’ll learn a lot on a professional and personal level.

Working international is a valuable experience for anyone. Here's why my experience was extraordinary:

With a perfect match with the internship company, I had set sails to a successful internship. The only downside on this was, that I found this match 4 Days before flying out to Stockholm, which made me very nervous. Special thanks here to the staff, who managed to calm me down multiple times.

Arriving in Stockholm, we got a helpful and informative introduction to the city and the internship from an on-site program manager.

Floorball is a sport very popular in the northern countries of Europe. As a player, it was a great honour and experience to play with a local team during my stay. This wasn't set up by Absolute Internship, but I would recommend you, to try and find a club of your sport to see how it's played in another country.

A big stress killer was the knowledge of having support from the Absolute Internship staff, even when they weren't on site any more. They checked in with us regularly and helped with problems with the company, accommodation and gave great tips for free time activities.

For me, the 2 career workshops, weren't helpful and more time-consuming, than a learning experience.

If it is worth the investment of the money: I can't say. For me, the University paid, but I do think that it is worth it.

Last but not least, I want to say that the bondage, you'll create with the other students in the program are very interesting, since you wouldn't meet such people any other way.

I had an internship in Singapore which was an incredible opportunity. They sorted out all of the documents and looked after us while we were there, arranging activities. I met several other students from across the world on the same program that I became good friends with. I also had the opportunity to travel to neighboring countries. While in Singapore I visited Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, South Korea, and Malaysia. Sim card and public transport was all organized by them which was very useful. We had introduction activities to Singapore which helped us to get to know the area and meet the other people on the program. The 2 absolute internship representatives living with us were incredibly helpful and kind

Absolute Internship is a great option for finding summer internships while also getting to travel and meet people. You will get matched with a company based on your experience level which is great for students with little to no experience. I would recommend them if you have completed your first year of university and want to get some experience in your industry of interest as it will make your CV stand out later down the line since not many people will have done internships at when they were at that level.

I LOVED everything about my Absolute Internship experience. The team worked so hard to find me a job that fit my unique ask, they were so welcoming/fun with the students, and they helped you get accustomed quickly to the new environment. On top of loving the leaders, I met students from all over the world and made best friends for life. AND, living in Barcelona was a dream. Especially staying in the apartment that they hooked us up with, it was SO nice. Overall, Barcelona is such an amazing city with so much to offer! Joining Absolute Internship was truly one of the best decisions of my life.

Had an amazing experience during my summer abroad in Lisbon! My internship was super fun and I learned a lot about an industry I had little prior experience in. I made great friends that I still keep in touch with and got to explore many different parts of Portugal during my free weekends. I always felt safe and adequately supported whenever I had any questions. The planned activities were also very enjoyable. Though there were some minor program issues, I still had a wonderful time that I'll never forget.

Absolutely recommend such nice memories and experience. Strongly strengthened my CV and job opportunities. Will do again if possible, a good mix of experiences and summer fun.
I was in Lisbon which was beautiful for the summer, visited and traveled around Europe on the weekends, and learned programming and worked in the week days.
It can be slightly expensive but you can usually receive funding from the school in most competitive US schools, so it would not be a burden.

I had the best two months ever in Barcelona with absolute and in my internship! The placement process was so smooth and my internship matched the goals that I had for myself going into the summer. The support from absolute really helped my experience as I could always ask questions and seek guidance when I had questions about my position or about activities. I made life long friendships and the activities and trips planned were so fun for everyone on the program, couldn’t recommend it more!! I had so much personal growth because I went in not knowing anyone, which I would recommend as it makes you make such good friends with everyone on the program
