The TEFL certification has been an incredibly rewarding journey. I started the course with no teaching experience, and at one point I was this close to giving up. At the same time, I was completing my BCom Honours degree, so balancing both commitments was challenging.

I chose to keep going, and I'm so glad I did. As I progressed through the course, I genuinely enjoyed the content. It felt like a breath of fresh air, and I discovered a real passion for teaching English.

The course was well structured, easy to follow, and full of practical activities that helped me build confidence. The tutor feedback was constructive and encouraging. I especially appreciated the recommendations on creating student-centred lessons, using concept-checking questions, designing engaging online activities, and adapting lessons to meet different learners' needs. The course is well-designed and easy to move thru. It provides strong guidance on how to construct lesson plans and they types of learning involved in acquiring English as a second language. Feedback on assignments was substantive and useful. As a mature professional, the sections on reflection were a bit too long for me, but I can see how they would benefit others. I did not find the videos on pronunciation to be very helpful, and the sections on using copyrighted material seemed perfunctory. In place of these, more on teaching English grammar could be provided. The discounted price is easy to commit to, but the regular price seems a bit inflated.

Completing my TEFL certification has been an incredibly rewarding experience and an important step in my career transition into education. As a mature student with previous experience working with children, I wanted a course that would strengthen my teaching skills and prepare me for teaching English as a foreign language.

I have been looking into teaching abroad for some time and this course has been on the horizon for a while. I'm already a fully qualified Primary School teacher with QTS so probably had a head start but still found this quite challenging in places - you'll definitely have to keep on top of your grammar skills (I'm constantly reviewing tenses and still can't get it right off the top of my head!). The course is well laid out and logical with some very useful information (some of the non-TEFL videos are hilariously bad (the BBC ones I think), but useful). The assignments are significantly challenging - and rightly so for a Level 5 - I think non-teachers may find this trickier, but it's infinitely doable. Overall, a really well put together course with lots of valuable support. Enjoyed it!

The whole procedure is really captivating and engaging. I loved doing the exrcises and the exams. The assigments weren't easy but that is exactly therir point. the support was always available, kind and understanding. Moreover the way it functions and the freedom to choose your pace and time to do the course is really helpful and it doesn't interrupt the rest of someone's life All in all, it's an experience a degree I would highly recommend people to get it, evne if the don't want to teach, you learn way to many things and understand languages and people better after it.

I’m very pleased that I decided to complete this TEFL course with TEFL Academy. It was engaging, informative and easy to navigate. I completed this during a period of unemployment and it gave me a focus and a target to achieve. I have a background in languages (French and Spanish) so this qualification tied in nicely with my previous cultural and linguistic experience. Although I have found employment elsewhere, I will hold onto what I’ve learnt with this TEFL course and it will be a useful qualification to have in my back pocket!
