I have fallen in love with Madrid in the 6 months I have been here! There have been tonnes of organised events to get involved with and the TIG Madrid Team can never do enough to help you in any way they can.

Madrid is a young and vibrant city especially during university term times (Sep - Jul). There are also fewer English speakers compared to tourist hotspots like Málaga or Barcelona, so there is ample opportunity to practice and improve your Spanish.

From the bustling Puerta de Sol to the peaceful Retiro and everything in-between, Madrid has something for everyone!

I graduated a year ago and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study at university so I decided to take a gap year and do an internship in Dublin with The Intern Group
I didn’t know what to expect at first but the whole experience was everything I was hoping and more!
My programe coordinator Rachel was in contact with me before my arrival and was so helpful during all the process. When I arrived she made sure to make me feel welcome and to introduce me to everyone.
The program was amazing, I got to work with awesome people and the trips and activities that they planned for us were spectacular. I fell in love with Dublin and I’m sure everyone visiting will too!

After hearing about the Intergroup from a friend I decided to check it out. I somehow ended up in London, England just a few months working on an internship at a theatre to help build my skills as a stage manager and arts manager. This is in all thanks to the Interngroup. The Interngroup worked with me from day one of applying all the way through my last day in London. They provide you with the all support you need no matter the day or time. They will always answer your questions or concerns you may have. They made me feel right at home even though I was 3,500 miles from my actual home. They made the process very easy to understand and gave me all the necessary tools to spread my wings and fly. I 100% recommend anyone interested in doing an internship to go through the Interngroup. Whether it be traveling to a different country or doing a digital online internship, the Interngroup is the best place to start!

I did my internship in Dublin in summer 2022 and it was such a rewarding and memorable experience. The people I met, whether that be other interns, locals, and the InternGroup stand were amazing and extremely welcoming. In the 8 weeks I spent in Dublin I was able to make friends from all over the world, have new experiences, and grow professionally and personally. My internship has helped me professionally, as potential managers are always intrigued about my internship and it helps me stand out compared to other candidates.

Not only did this program place me in a great placement for my internship, the program got to introduce you to the culture and people of the area you are in. I loved how they arranged meet-ups/ gatherings. Everyone was so helpful and the person on the ground at the area that you are in goes over and beyond for you. The housing was great, and close to shops. If there was an issue they were on it right away to have it fixed. I recommend this program to anyone and everyone. Such a great experience.

My internship was online, but I was still very involved in the activities hosted by The Intern Group in Dublin. The activities were fun and allowed us to truly experience Irish culture. The housing was very nice and comfortable and easily connected to the city by bus. The staff was helpful with any questions about Dublin. They were nice and involved with cultural activities, as well as any questions regarding our internships. The group of interns was diverse, with interns coming from many countries around the world.

My summer in London with The Intern Group this year was brilliant. I couldn't have asked for more, my internship was exactly what I was looking for and I met many friends for life from literally all over the world. This program is the ultimate summer internship program.

I will definitely be returning to London in the future - next time I expect it will be to live there thanks to this experience. A summer full of growth, learning and adventure.

My suggestion to others reading this is to make the most of every minute, travel with an open heart and mind, and prepare for growth & more growth.

Choosing to do an internship in Madrid is one of the best decisions that I have made. I did a 6-week internship and my only regret is not doing it for longer! I couldn't wait to go to Spain for my internship. I was part of the digital nomad program, which means I did all the work remotely and I had the opportunity to do it in a city I really wanted to visit. I spent a lot of time learning Spanish in order to prepare for my visit and I wasn't disappointed. I experienced new cultures, new food, new adventures but also new friendships. My internship was very interesting on its own as I got to work with a company that I loved and that taught me so many things. If I got the opportunity I would do it all over again. I thank the Intern group - Madrid program for their quick response each time I had an inquiry, Lalita and Lucia were very helpful and made the experience even more enjoyable. Hala Madrid!
