Working with AIP was a great experience! AIP helped me locate an internship in Tainan, Taiwan. On the weekdays I received hands-on experience with my company, and on the weekends I adventured. My accommodations were right in the heart of the city, which made sampling Tainan’s cafe and food scene very convenient! I also had the opportunity to partake in mid-autumn festival. Enjoying mooncakes and pomelos under a bright night sky was an unforgettable memory. I made so many meaningful experiences and connections from this trip, and I really appreciate AIP’s dedicated team for helping me along the way.

I had a great experience with the program and I am very happy with how everything went. From the beginning, the team was always attentive and available whenever I had any questions or problems. My advisor, Nisha, was especially helpful throughout the whole process. She was always checking in, making sure I had the information I needed, and helping whenever something came up.

The program gave me the opportunity to gain international work experience while also getting to know a new country, culture, and way of working. I really appreciated having support throughout the experience, especially when adapting to a new environment.

Overall, I found the program well organized, supportive, and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an internship abroad and wanting to have a new professional and personal experience.

My experience with the AIP Asian Internship Program was very positive. The program provided me with a great opportunity to gain international work experience, meet people from different backgrounds, and learn more about working in a professional environment abroad.

I had the opportunity to work as an intern in Japan for three months through the Asia Internship Program, and the entire experience was amazing from the very beginning.

I would like to sincerely thank Ted Ko for his support throughout the company search process, as well as Kate for her continuous help and support during my stay in Japan. Their guidance made the whole experience much smoother and more enjoyable.

The experience and knowledge I gained during this internship will be extremely valuable for my future. It gave me the opportunity to experience a professional environment firsthand and gain a better understanding of the real-world workplace. This opportunity helped me grow not only professionally, but also personally.

I also really appreciated not having to worry about arranging accommodation. AIP did a great job finding a comfortable place to stay, and living in a sharehouse was an experience in itself. I had the chance to meet many new people, make new friends, and share memorable experiences.

Overall, I am very grateful for this opportunity and for everything I learned and experienced during my time in Japan. It was an unforgettable experience that I will carry with me into my future career and personal life.

For my second co-op, I completed my internship through a program called the Asia Internship Program (AIP). I shared my goals and interests with the program, and they helped match me with a host company in Seoul, South Korea. During my stay in Korea, AIP assisted with arranging my housing accommodation, and the staff were responsive to any questions or concerns I had throughout my experience. I felt very supported and comfortable throughout the program, which meant a lot to me, especially since it was my first time in Asia. For my internship, I had the opportunity to contribute to projects related to brand management, marketing, and market research. Now that I have concluded my internship, I can confidently say that this experience was invaluable to me as I was included in real professional conversations which made me feel that my ideas and perspectives were valued. If you’re looking for a real internship experience with the support of a great program I would do it with AIP! ☺️

I underwent a two month Software Development Internship at a Startup in Osaka and it was one of the best experiences I have had.
First of all, the support of the program staff was great. There were some delays in the process at first due to some internal changes at the program company, but after that everything went smoothly. My manager was great, I described to him exactly what my skills are and what type of company and position I am looking for and he found the perfect placement for me. During the internship the on ground support team regularly checked in with me to see how I am doing and to ask if I needed any help.
The Startup I worked at was great, there were quite a few interns and our boss was very open to our ideas and opinions. Every intern had their own project part they worked on, the boss told us what he envisioned, but the process of getting there was left to us and we were able to implement our own ideas as well. I learnt a lot and the workspace and atmosphere in our team was great.
I also had time to explore the Kansai region, from daytrips to Kyoto, Kobe, Amanohashidate, Shirahama and Nachikatsuura to a road trip to Shikoku with other interns. I attended a cooking workshop and went to festivals in Osaka with my flatmates and learnt a lot about the japanese culture.
Overall, it was a great experience and I can definitely recommend doing an internship abroad to anyone.

Generally a good program and they support you and answer questions when you are in doubt especially overseas in an unfamiliar environment. Giving it a 3/5 because there was some miscommunication errors in our emails which led to rebooking of flights (costing $$$ during the fuel crisis) as they did not communicate and coordinate the dates well together with the school requirements. The company I intern at was super friendly and overall easy to fit and work it. However, the only downside was I had to self learn and study lots of skills and information that my fellow colleagues and the company do not have knowledge on, which diminishes the purpose of the internship for me.

I spent 1.5 months doing an internship at a hospital in Kathmandu. It was a great and truly valuable experience. I learned a lot, gained practical knowledge, and developed new skills. I met wonderful people, and had the opportunity to explore amazing places. It was much more than just an internship- it was a chance to learn, grow, experience a new culture, and step outside my comfort zone. I felt very well taken care of throughout the program, and whenever I had questions or problems, there was always someone ready to help. I highly recommend this program!

AIP provided excellent support throughout my internship experience in Hong Kong. From the beginning, the process was organized, clear, and much less stressful because the team was available to answer questions and provide guidance. Moving to another country for an internship can feel overwhelming, especially when you are balancing travel arrangements, housing, workplace expectations, and adapting to a new city, but AIP made the transition much easier.

The communication was one of the strongest parts of the experience. I always felt that I had a clear point of contact if I needed help or had a question. The team was responsive, professional, and supportive throughout the program. They helped make sure I understood what to expect before arriving and continued to provide support while I was in Hong Kong. That gave me confidence and allowed me to focus more on learning from the internship itself.

The placement gave me a valuable opportunity to experience a professional workplace in an international environment. I was able to develop practical skills, improve my confidence, and gain a better understanding of how professional work is done outside of the classroom. Living and working in Hong Kong was also a meaningful part of the experience. It pushed me to become more independent, adapt to a different environment, and learn how to navigate daily life in a fast-paced global city.

I also appreciated that the program was not only about completing an internship. It gave me the chance to grow personally as well as professionally. I learned how to communicate in a workplace, manage responsibilities, work with different people, and become more comfortable in unfamiliar situations. Those are skills that will be useful in future internships, university, and my career.

Overall, I am very grateful for the opportunity and for the support AIP provided throughout the process. The experience was well organized, worthwhile, and memorable. I would recommend AIP to students who are looking for an overseas internship and want the support of a team that is helpful, professional, and committed to making the experience run smoothly

I spent 2 months abroad in Taipei, Taiwan through AIP, and it was a really positive experience! I had some issues with my original internship placement, but my team was incredibly responsive! I really appreciate Jeff, Roro, and Nisha’s support and help throughout the process. With their help and flexibility, I was placed with another company very quickly. The transition process was fast and smooth, and I couldn't be more happy with my internship.

Moreover, my living accommodations through AIP were excellent. I was close to transportation and the neighborhood was very peaceful. I'm extremely grateful to the AIP team for their help.
