This course was great for learning how to teach the English language and work with students. I felt it provided all the information I needed through the online content and the in person class was great to put what I'd learnt into practice. With it being online it was easy to navigate the site and access support from tutors if I needed it. The assignments were well explained and I felt they helped me understand the content better. I would definitely recommend this course to other people. It's been really helpful.

I honestly did not know what to expect when enrolling in the course but now I can say it exceeded my expectations. Once I started, the tasks and materials were so engaging that I actually felt the need to access the platform every day. The course content is well organised and the assignments are carefully planned to help you put into practise all you have learned. Although I have experience in teaching, I have acquired plenty of new skills and knowledge. I simply cannot wait to start my teaching experience in another country!

The online TEFL course is a very good option for anyone who wants to become a certified ESL teacher but doesn't have time to attend courses in real life. The course website offers a variety of useful information and tips on teaching different age groups of students. Each unit contains not only text presentations on the topic but also plenty of engaging exercises to check your understanding. The access to the course is time limited but it is more than enough to complete all units with assignments (just remember to stick to your learning schedule ;) ). Overall, the course was a pleasant and enriching experience. It's even better if you also book the 10h teaching practice in one of Academy's locations. Helps you put everything you learned into perspective and it's a great opportunity to brainstorm teaching ideas with other course participants.

I found the online Level 5 TEFL Course to be extremely informative. The lessons were helpful and concise. Plus, the three major course assignments truly tested ones ability to apply newfound knowledge in a practical manner. There were also many suggested resources in each module, which elaborated upon relevant teaching topics. There is a lot of support embedded into the TEFL program for those interested in seeking-out jobs shortly after completion. Plus, the in-person training component provided a great opportunity for networking. I have completed the course feeling prepared to create my resume and cover letter, and to begin applying for English-language teaching jobs!

I had a wonderful time learning with The TEFL Academy and preparing myself to become a TEFL teacher. I decided to take this course with the intention of being able to work online when hopefully moving to France for early retirement. I am probably not the age of the usual students following this course. But I found it very user-friendly.
The online course was interesting, informative and fun to follow and I could work at my own pace at whatever time I wished. All the units were explained well and the assignments were clearly defined. Tutors returned feedback and grades returned quickly.
The online level 5 diploma course also offered 3 top-up certificates of 30 hours each in specific areas of teaching English, given free of charge. Teaching one-to-one online, Teaching young learners and Teaching Business English. All three were very interesting.
