I have been teaching English in China for ten years. This study has given me a very brief and concise understanding of how native English speakers think about some familiar concepts in a slightly different way. For example, our understanding of scanning is that students look for obvious details such as people, places, and proper nouns during the scanning process. In the course of this study, I found that other W/H questions can also be covered in this section. And, in Detailreading, our course content reveals specifics of slow reading, thus helping readers find more details. Previously, during my English teaching in China, this part of Detail reading was most involved in finding some detailed content that was more complicated compared to Scanning.

Hi. I am a non-native speaker, but I loved English since I was a child. I had a dream to become an English teacher, but I know that there is need cost to study. But when I saw this course on Instagram, Im so interested in joining. I think the best decision that I ever made to develop and add an extra qualification for my profession was choosing World Tesol Academy. Although, I graduated a degree in Bachelor of Secondary education in English, and has been emerged to practicing and internalizing crucial things of education, there’s still room in me to be filled with so much relevant additional knowledge.

Enrolling in this program widens my understanding of the concept of teaching English language (making lessons fun and effective, what strategies be usefule, and/or what topic is helpful) to learners overseas and through online, and enhances my teaching knowledge on how to deal with different learners or what things should be considered (classroom context, age range, and more) when teaching overseas or online.

When war break in 🇺🇦- I being forced to leave my home city ( Kakhovka) and altogether leave the country . I am 64 year old professional Music Teacher- who do not retired yet fully( maybe never will) 🤓Being by calling and profession a Teacher- I was deprived of classroom and students. The only way to keep sanity was make myself busy with studies which would serve later my students and my country . First I Enrolled to TEFL course ,and than one by one within 3 months I enrolled and graduate (being far away from home) TEOL,TEYL,TEAL-courses as well ,with medium grade 92%.

Prior to enrolling to the program, I had been scouring the internet for an institution that offers TEFL/TESOL courses at a reasonable price and is legitimate. Luckily, I came across World TESOL Academy which offers just that—and much more! This course was outlined in a well-balanced manner, with highly relevant lessons which one could take at a good pace. The lessons are easy to understand and flowed coherently.

I am so stoked to finally complete this course and receive my certificate. I have been a classroom teacher for ESL students for some months. But now with the tips I have learned in the course especially around lesson preparation, classroom engagement and management. I feel more excited to resume to work on Monday and put my new learnings to task. The modules on grammar rules was a bit daunting for me as a native speaker, because it forced me to consider the science behind the language I have spoken since birth. But I'd admit, I found those modules challenging and refreshing. Felt the adrenaline rush every time I successfully completed their accompanying quizzes. Overall, this is the best financial & time investment I have made in a while! Definitely recommending it to my friends!
