Wonderful experience with AIP!

My university partnered with AIP for an intern abroad program in Seoul, South Korea. I worked with Seth Aung Winn from AIP for my internship placement, who was hard working and dedicated to finding the best company for me to intern with that aligned with my major and career goals. For the in-country portion of the program, Herlyn Jarder, Daisie Jeong, Tyler Beauchamp, Nisha Shashi were there to assist us. They took us on a local tour of our hotel area, provided us with tips and tricks on transportation, where to buy certain products, and always offered to be a buddy for any meals. They also helped in booking cultural/leisure/business excursions for us every weekend so that we can immerse ourselves into the country while we aren't interning or in our program's class, and attended these with us. A few of these included Nami Island, Alpaca World, Gyeongbokgung, Pangyo Techno Valley, and more. Herlyn and Daisie stayed with us for the entire duration of the program, and were great mentors to be with. They have offered to take our cohort members out to dinner a few times and would regularly hang out with many of the members. Overall, they have been such wonderful people to work with and have made being abroad so much fun and less stressful. I definitely recommend choosing AIP for your internship abroad!

I had a blessed time

My experience with the Asia Internship Program (AIP) was incredible. From start to finish, the team made the process smooth, engaging, and genuinely life-changing. I want to give a special shoutout to Herlyn, Nisha, and Tyler — they went above and beyond to support me throughout the internship. Whether it was helping me navigate my placement, organizing immersive cultural activities like baseball games and food outings, or just being there to answer any questions, they made the whole journey way more than just “work experience.”

The program struck a great balance between professional development and cultural exposure. I got valuable insight into my field, worked in a fast-paced environment, and built strong connections, all while having fun and exploring Korea.

Big thank you to the AIP team. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to grow, explore, and have a damn good time doing it.

Fun

The Asian Internship Program (AIP) was incredibly helpful in guiding me through my internship experience in South Korea. From the moment I arrived, Herlyn and Tyler provided consistent support, helping me navigate cultural differences, adjust to a new work environment, and make the most of my time abroad. Their check-ins and genuine care made a big difference, especially as this was my first time working internationally. The internship itself was a fantastic experience—engaging, meaningful, and honestly just really cool. I gained valuable professional insight, met great people, and explored a new country, all with the reassurance that AIP had my back the whole way.

Amazing

I had an incredible experience with AIP during my internship in South Korea. From start to finish, the program was organized, supportive, and truly life-changing. I’m so grateful for the team—especially Herlyn, Tyler, and Nisha—who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed both professionally and personally.

They matched me with a great company aligned with my interests, and I gained valuable hands-on experience while also getting to immerse myself in a new culture. The support system they provide is unmatched—from orientation to career guidance, cultural excursions, and even simple day-to-day check-ins.

If you’re considering an international internship, I highly recommend AIP. This program opened up so many new opportunities for me and gave me the confidence to grow both as a student and a future professional. Thank you again to the entire AIP team!

AIP in Korea

My experience with AIP has been amazing! From the moment I got here Tyler, Herlyn, Nisha, and Daisie have been nothing but helpful and kind. I travelled to Seoul, South Korea from the USA and was nervous about adjusting to Korea. AIP smoothed this transition for me and I totally will be using AIP again in the future! The internship I was matched with was my dream internship at a law firm and it made the overall experience even better. Travel with AIP! The AIP staff members are truly the best and are amazing to be with!

University of Florida in Seoul - 2025

I had an incredible experience with AIP, who helped me secure a marketing internship opportunity in South Korea. The team was supportive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure I had a successful placement.

I’m especially grateful for the guidance and support of Seth, Herlyn, Nisha, Daisie, and Tyler. Each of these individuals played a valuable role in helping me navigate the process and settle into my role (and life in South Korea) with confidence. Their responsiveness, encouragement, and deep understanding of both cultural and professional expectations made all the difference.

I highly recommend AIP to anyone looking to step out of their comfort zone and grow globally!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
I think it's important to not only sightsee and try new foods, but expose yourself to South Korean history and culture through museums. Some of the most rewarding parts of this trip was being able to learn more about ancient South Korean history, which was something I hadn't had the chance to learn about in school.
Pros
  • Lovely staff
  • Group excursions were fun and engaging
  • Felt prepared for internship

UF in South Korea

AIP was truly helpful in helping me adjust to South Korean culture and in understanding my needs when it came to internship matching. I want to give a special shoutout to Herlyn, Nisha, and Tyler for guiding the University of Florida cohort during our time in South Korea. The team I had the pleasure of working with was not only supportive but genuinely caring. They made sure we felt safe, heard, and prepared, making my experience abroad smooth, enriching, and unforgettable. Their response times to test or emergency was near to immediate and relatively quick which I appreciated.
