Go to Seoul!

I learned a lot in Seoul at my internship at a tech startup. Herlyn, Dasie, Tyler, and Nisha are the goats and will help you every step of the way. They genuinely care about their students and want to help them succeed. They go the extra mile to help out and make sure everything is going fantastic. If you are thinking about going to Korea, do it. It was an unforgettable experience where I met so many people from all over the world. There is so much to see in Korea and this is for sure the best program to do it with!

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
I ate silk worms in Busan!
Pros
  • Enough time to see all of Korea
  • Super friendly staff
  • Great internship

Amazing Program!!

I had an absolutely incredible experience with the Asia Internship Program (AIP), and I can’t thank the amazing staff enough—especially Nisha, Herlyn, and Tyler. From the very beginning, I felt fully supported and guided through every step of the internship and travel onboarding process. Moving to another country can be overwhelming, but the AIP team made it seamless and stress-free.

What stood out the most was how personal and caring the team was. Nisha, Herlyn, and Tyler didn’t just see me as another participant—they treated me like family. Anytime I felt lonely or uncertain in a new environment, they were there with encouraging messages, helpful advice, or just a check-in to see how I was doing. That level of care meant the world to me.

Thanks to AIP, I landed an amazing internship placement in Seoul that matched my career goals perfectly. I learned so much, gained valuable hands-on experience, and—most exciting of all—I was even offered a job position by the company! I never imagined things could go this well.

Beyond the internship, AIP also provided fantastic resources and opportunities to explore Seoul and the local industries. From networking events to cultural experiences, I was able to grow both personally and professionally while truly enjoying my time abroad.

I wholeheartedly recommend AIP to anyone considering an internship in Asia. With such a dedicated team behind you, it’s not just a program—it’s a life-changing journey.

Thank you again, AIP, Nisha, Herlyn, and Tyler—you helped make this one of the best chapters of my life!

Korea experience

AIP organized my study abroad internship trip to Korea, and I had such a good experience! Nisha was very helpful in helping me interview with Korean companies and helped me troubleshoot when things didn’t go as expected. Herlyn was also very helpful in getting us settled into our accommodations, internship role and the country in general. I had such a good experience working with the team directly and experiencing the cultural excursions that they helped set up such as going to the palace and wearing traditional hanbok.

I love AIP!

AIP was exceptional in helping me secure an internship this summer in Seoul! The representatives at Asia Internship Program were so supportive in placing me at a consulting company and helping me find the exact position I wanted. When I was in the middle of recruiting, my representative, Seth, was very attentive and adaptable in every situation. I am very pleased about and thankful for my work experience because of AIP.

Asia Internship Program also provided great ground support during my stay in South Korea. Herlyn, Tyler, and Nisha were all so helpful in setting up the cohort in the city and could always be relied on. They helped us feel comfortable in the area we were staying in and were here to answer any questions we had during our six-week experience.

Thank you so much to AIP for everything they have done for me! I couldn’t have asked for a better team or program.

thank you AIP

Interning in South Korea with AIP was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the very start, Jeff Oo took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped me find a placement that truly matched my goals and interests. He made the whole process feel easy and personal.

Once I arrived in Seoul, Herlyn, Nisha, and Tyler made everything even better. They were there for us in every moment, making sure we felt comfortable, supported, and safe. It really felt like having a team that genuinely cared about us, not just as interns, but as people.

This was my first time doing something like this, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. AIP made it all possible and I’ll always be thankful for that. If you’re thinking about interning abroad, I truly recommend going with them.

AIP Love!

I genuinely love AIP. This has hands down been the best internship program I’ve come across. The entire team is incredibly kind and thoughtful, and I’m so grateful for how supportive they’ve been throughout the process. I want to extend a huge thank you to both Herlyn and Seth for matching me with such a great internship site. A special shoutout to Herlyn. She’s been with me and my cohort every step of the way during our six weeks in Seoul, and her warmth and energy have truly made this experience even more meaningful. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I absolutely would.

South Korea Internship

I had an amazing experience with my study abroad time in South Korea with AIP’s internship program. Jeff Oo was the one responsible for my placement, and he made sure to take into account the industries that I was interested in and the type of role I wanted to fulfill when finding my internship. After coming to Korea, Herlyn Jarder, Nisha Shahi, and Daisie Jeong all greeted us at the airport and helped us with transportation to our hotel. From the start, all of the AIP staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. Although Nisha and another staff, Tyler Beauchamp, could only stay with our program for the first couple of weeks, we could really feel comfortable and open with any of the staff here. Having the AIP staff around during this trip has felt like having a reliable friend that will do their best to help when you’re in need. I’ve had some of the best times of my life during this trip and I genuinely recommend doing it with AIP if you can!

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
As part of my university’s program, we had planned excursions every weekend. One of the excursions was to the DMZ, where we were able to see into North Korea and learn more about the history of some of the areas that we could see.
Pros
  • Meet new people
  • Explore new cities
  • Eat good food
Cons
  • Expenses can add up

Wonderful experience with AIP!

My university partnered with AIP for an intern abroad program in Seoul, South Korea. I worked with Seth Aung Winn from AIP for my internship placement, who was hard working and dedicated to finding the best company for me to intern with that aligned with my major and career goals. For the in-country portion of the program, Herlyn Jarder, Daisie Jeong, Tyler Beauchamp, Nisha Shashi were there to assist us. They took us on a local tour of our hotel area, provided us with tips and tricks on transportation, where to buy certain products, and always offered to be a buddy for any meals. They also helped in booking cultural/leisure/business excursions for us every weekend so that we can immerse ourselves into the country while we aren't interning or in our program's class, and attended these with us. A few of these included Nami Island, Alpaca World, Gyeongbokgung, Pangyo Techno Valley, and more. Herlyn and Daisie stayed with us for the entire duration of the program, and were great mentors to be with. They have offered to take our cohort members out to dinner a few times and would regularly hang out with many of the members. Overall, they have been such wonderful people to work with and have made being abroad so much fun and less stressful. I definitely recommend choosing AIP for your internship abroad!
