The course provided through Tefl Heaven was a fantastic entry point to teaching English abroad. the program was well structured, providing instructor-led classroom based learning while also emphasizing practical, hands-on experiences. As a newly employed teacher, I can see how valuable it is for me to have had actual classroom experience. I was better prepared to lead engaging and creative lessons and to effectively manage student learning. The theoretical element of the course forms a useful backbone for me now, providing a knowledge base which I frequently return to.
Despite its somewhat academic style- the instructors are trying to prepare you for a job, after all- I feel I really must stress: the course is FUN! You will meet loads of great, like-minded people, keen to make friends in a new environment, and the instructors go above and beyond to facilitate a community style atmosphere, providing great information about where to explore in the local area in your days off with your new friends. The welcome evening before the course starts is a great way to meet your fellow TEFL trainees.
My main piece of advice would be to enjoy your time on the program. While it might feel busy at times there's always someone on hand to provide help and advice. Take the time to get to know your new city with your new friends, work hard and have fun!

Completing my TEFL certificate through TEFL heaven has been one of the best experiences of my life. The program was a little full on but it prepared me, in the best way possible, to teach English as a second language. I have met friends for life and received growing support from people inside and out of the program. I have enjoyed my time in Prague so much that I will be extending my stay in here, and continue to work as a teacher.

Studying TEFL in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica was honestly way better than I could have imagined. Why not take your TEFL course while looking out the window at a beautiful view of green trees, clear blue ocean, and sunsets that look fake!? The school was easy to get to and everything was well organized for TEFLers to feel productive and well taken care of. Manuel Antonio is right on the beach and due to that fact, it is a bit touristy. This can be both great and difficult at times. It is so much fun to go out on a single night and meet people from all around the world. Tourism also raises the prices of things here a bit, as could be imagined. However, I took the opportunity provided to stay with a host family in Quepos (a local fisherman's town less than ten minutes by bus), and this made my experience very well balanced. After classes some days, I would go to the beaches of Manuel Antonio to watch sunsets, surf, and of course always bring my binoculars to keep an eye out for monkeys, sloths, birds, bugs, and even porcupines that spend their days up in the trees. Other days, I would go back to Quepos to have calm days by the Marina, get cheap food, or experience the livelihood of Costa Rican culture from markets to parades. The TEFL course is fairly busy but the work is not too challenging and it is definitely well worth the time! Immediately after I did my TEFL, I took a job that was offered to me teaching in Cusco, Peru and am loving it here as well! If you are interested in getting a job right after TEFL, you will be provided plenty of job finding assistance making this more than possible. I strongly recommend taking your TEFL course in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica! Good luck paying attention in class though!! :D

TEFL Heaven helped me get my TEFL Certification in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica in September 2017. The process was incredibly easy, as I simply told TEFL Heaven I was interested in Manuel Antonio, and they took care of most of the logistics. From the U.S., flights are reasonably priced, and the arrival process was hassle-free. Besides the simplicity of using TEFL Heaven, Manuel Antonio is absolutely beautiful. If you're interested in seeing monkeys, sloths, and macaw parrots casually on your commute to class, Costa Rica is perfect for you. The culture is completely relaxed, the scenery is breathtaking, and the course itself is managed in an efficient and engaging way. All in all, I would recommend getting TEFL Certified through TEFL Heaven in Costa Rica to anyone willing to live in paradise for at least a month.

Fantastic course! Raul who delivers the course instruction has years and years of experience to draw upon for learning how to teach, he's taught in every form imaginable as well so is a fantastic source of advice for any doubts or worries you might have in terms of what type of teaching your going into. Alan is fantastic on the job placement side of things, really knows the market and the people to get you a good job that you want in a short space of time, he is genuinely fantastic at it and you are in great hands with the both of them. Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful city with a lot to love and overall the course is a great way to introduce yourself into the world of teaching as it provides you with so much insight into how the job is, which gives you a real confidence boost when you start teaching English out in the great unknown.

The 4 week TEFL course in Ho Chi Minh was brilliant. It provides you with everything you need to know before entering the world of teaching English as a foreign language here. The first week of the course is very informative, providing you with the knowledge and skills needed in this field. The tutor was excellent with a wealth of experience behind him that he was able to share with us. You also get hands on experiences of teaching practices with Vietnamese students, which take place in different schools around the city. This part of the course is why face-to-face learning is much better than taking an online TEFL course. I would recommend this course to anyone considering teaching English in Vietnam.

I recommend receiving a TEFL certificate in Prague through the TEFL Heaven company. The program affords students an amazing combination of improving their English instruction ability and exploring one of the world's most beautiful and historically rich cities. While the course does require good time management skills and a commitment to improving one's abilities, the program provides tons of resources for students. Furthermore, the instructors and program director are very receptive to student feedback and implementing a variety of different components to improve the program. After completing the program, I feel extremely comfortable teaching Czech students and have become proficient in lesson planning. Furthermore, I was able to quickly land a teaching job that I enjoy with the added benefit of having made valuable friendships along the way!

At first when I saw the cost of the course I was dubious but, after speaking to a friend who came through TEFL heaven when he went to teach in Thailand he convinced me it was worth the money and I'm so glad I listened to him. During the 4 week teacher training course you are required to observe three 2 hour observations of existing teachers and then you are required to complete 7 teaching practices to actual students. This can be daunting at first but you get assistance with completing lesson plans for the lessons and you get feedback after every session so that you can learn from your mistakes and improve next time. This hands on teaching experience alone I think is worth the money but then upon completion of the course you are guaranteed a paid job. People on my course finished the course on Thursday and started a job on Monday - it all depends on whether you want to go straight into work or have a few weeks off like I did. I'm now working for one of the top schools in Vietnam earning just under $20 an hour and I also receive $200 a month living allowance off my school.

This course is so well thought through I can't fault it. The experiences gained from real life practice, lesson planning, getting used to be observed and learning to be adaptable really puts this course on a new level! Moving around the world, was a culture shock but its a beautiful, fu and exciting city which I now call home and love! The instructors from this course go above and beyond in their jobs and Im lucky to now call them friends. They are willing to help with anything from adapting to living in this city, to anything course related. This course exceeded my expectations and Im already planning on staying here longer than a year!! The course flowed nicely and everyone improved and felt comfortable teaching with people observing and with being at the front of the class (and personally for me, I lacked confidence and found myself getting nervous at the beginning) now look forward to teaching as the children are so much fun!!! Getting a job after was super easy with the help and support of the group and instructors, I got all the jobs I interviewed for and that gave me the freedom to choose which job I liked more. Even now Im working in Shanghai, the instructors (now friends) are there for any help and support I may need and still keep in contact which is really nice!! I loved my TEFL experience and will forever remember the memories and experiences gained from it!

Buenos Aires is a cosmopolitan city filled with the most welcoming people! On your first day you will feel at home! It is also the perfect mix of Latin American culture but with European perks like the subway! Get ready to enjoy tango music, nights out, French style architecture, beautiful city parks and squares, and loads of free tours and cultural activities! I almost forgot about the course! Maria Laura is so open, friendly and passionate(A typical Argentine.) The way that she guides you through the course makes it come so naturally. This is why I didn’t give it a high number in difficulty as she really makes you enjoy the work which makes it much easier than it would be otherwise! I had so much fun and in the end really felt like a teacher! They are still there for me if I ever need them and I’m welcome (as are all their students) to pop in at any time! This was the best decision! Just do it! You will not regret it! The only tip I have is that I would definitely come a week before so that you can settle in to the city’s vibe and get your bearings before you begin the course!
