I did my TEFL course in the beautiful paradise island of Koh Samui.
I was really worried about living abroad, accommodation, the visa process and after doing lots of research it seemed that TEFL Heaven were the perfect company for me.
The TEFL team quickly responded to all my emails which gave me so much confidence in sending in my application.
i sent in my application and was interviewed over Skype, Ben who interviewed me listened to me and helped me with any concerns and worries that I had.
TEFL Heaven then supported me through the visa process and finding accommodation near my teaching job.

On top of that they organized airport transfers and accommodation that they organised was in a beautiful hotel!!

Training was 3 weeks I never had any teaching experience before and was nervous but I shouldn’t have been as during training I learnt loads about teaching techniques, grammar, lesson plans and fun games tips and tools ready to teach my class. The training team were lovely and organized lots of social events such as visiting other beautiful islands in the south of Thailand and fun talent shows which made me get to know all of my course friends.

I also requested my preferred age group and location and the team worked so hard and I was placed where I wanted snd taught my preferred age group !!

Not a moment of regret!

My name is Sharmani, from Melbourne, Australia. I moved to Madrid January 2019 to complete my TEFL course. The course ran for 4 weeks, Monday to Friday, it was thorough and well structured. I was placed in good hands, my trainers were knowledgeable and experienced as they themselves have done the course, so they knew exactly what the students had to go through.

Before making the big decision to pack my life into a suitcase and move half way across the world, I had doubts and concerns about: making new friends, the new environment, accommodation, costs, finding a job...and the list goes on! However, these all proved to be unnecessary stress when I arrived in Madrid.

Everyone in your course will be in the same boat, so making friends were super easy, to this day we are like a little family in Madrid, we travel and do everything together!

Once I was successful with TEFL Heaven, they put me in contact with the housing coordinator in Madrid who helped me with accommodation, alternatively there are websites out there like Spotahome which I found really easy to use.

Finding a job was also very easy, at the school they helped me with my CV and I also looked for work online. By the second week of graduating I had already began teaching.

I have to admit, during my first month, the language was an issue as English is not widely spoken in Madrid. You will get by but I definitely recommend taking lessons or participating in language exchanges! I have also learnt a lot from my students, it's definitely a two way learning! I have been here for 2 months now, and my Spanish has definitely improved!

Three things I love about Madrid:
1. The weather, it will never disappoint, the sun is ALWAYS out!
2. The culture and the people. The Spaniards love living life, they know how to enjoy and relax.
3. The food and drinks, cheap and tasty!

Three reasons why you should just book yourself into the program already!
1. You will meet people from all over the world and become lifelong friends
2. Once you are TEFL certified you can pretty much teach anywhere in the world
3. You will always be wondering "what if" if you never give it a go!

Hey everyone! If you're looking to teach abroad and still need to get your TEFL certificate, I would definitely suggest looking into TEFL Heaven. I thought it was a great way to ease yourself into Thailand and an easy way to meet a large group of people, some of whom you end up getting placed with! The training they supplied was wonderful and doing it in person (on a paradise island) made it that much better. They even brought us to a Thai classroom for 2 days which was an incredible insight into what to expect. On top of that, we were right on the beach and could change into our bathing suits immediately after training and relax. I think the best part of it all is that it's now 4 months after my training and I am still making travel plans to meet up with friends that I made during training.
I know it is a bit pricey but if I could go back I would do it all again. It was well worth it.

I loved my experience, it was great! Not only was the course engaging and challenging, but fun at the same time. I could learn a lot and made so many friends!
It’s an eye opening experience, that will change you and open so many doors for the future!
I was given all the support I needed, and found a job the week after the course ended. I am improving and learning new things every day, and enjoying the beautiful Mexican culture and lifestyle. It was also great we could do excursions together on weeekeds so we could get to know the place and enjoy beautiful Puerto Vallarta too! Our trainer was really knowledgable and really prepared us well for our future jobs. I felt really comfortable when I taught my very first class in the langauge centre where i work!
Really recommended, I would do it again!

I had an incredible experience with this program! From the moment I had my interview, I felt that the company was extremely passionate about helping me find the perfect fit! The love they have for education and providing international opportunities to their participants is reflected in their work. I received regular contact via e-mail that provided me with every detail the I needed to know to help me prepare for the big move. I really appreciated receiving the names and contact information of other participants prior to leaving, as we were able to communicate with each other before we even arrive in Mexico! When I arrived, I was met by someone who picked me up from the airport and took me to our house. I was very nervous, so I really appreciated not having to arrange a ride to my house! On the way, he provided lots of details about Puerto Vallarta! The program itself was great! The teacher has a lot of really great tools and methods that helped me improve my teaching style! Not only did we have class, but we also had the opportunity to teach real students in an orphanage and at a language center. This provided me with experience, prior to applying for jobs! The school also helps prepare your resume, apply for jobs and organize interviews. I really appreciate the guidance and support I received from TEFL Heaven directly, as well as the school in Puerto Vallarta!

I had a great experience doing my TEFL certification through TEFL Heaven in Phuket in October 2018.

The course was not overly difficult, but I learned a lot. It was definitely a good opportunity to get more comfortable standing in front of a classroom. I've never been one for public speaking, but this was a great way to step out of my comfort zone while still in a supportive setting. We learned a lot of different teaching techniques and games that you could use with your students. We even got to apply what we learned over a two-day English camp near the end of the course. Camp consisted of planning a lesson for groups of Thai students and getting your first real hands-on teaching experience. It was a ton of fun and gave me some confidence before setting off to teach on my own.

My course instructors were both awesome and everyone I interacted with at TEFL Heaven was friendly and supportive. I also met tons of new people who I'm still friends with now. Daily Thai lessons and staying at a hotel near the beach definitely didn't hurt either.

Overall, this was a good way to ease into teaching in Thailand, and I don't regret it.

I loved taking the TEFL program in Buenos Aires!! The teacher was super energetic and very supportive, even off hours outside of class. She was always there for anything needed from help in the course to advice about making a life in Buenos Aires. The school that the TEFL program is held in is also a Spanish school and they give discount classes to TEFL students which is also a plus! I love the community in the school! Great experience and absolutely worth it!!!!

A few months ago I got this crazy idea to teach English abroad . After doing a TONE of research I learned that it’s imperative to have a in class Tefl certificate. So I’m like great more research on figuring out a company I can go through for that . So after more research , I came across TEFL Heaven . This company was the one that stood out to me the most ! Just the extra things that they offered and the reassurance I got from them after informing them I was sooo nervous to make this move by myself . Let me just say I’m sooo glad I did . The course it self was amazing ! And I learned sooo much . I never had teaching experience, but after taking the course it really made me feel confident about stepping into a classroom . I got a Job about 2 days after the course . A few of my classmates got jobs maybe the 3rd week during the course . If you plan on teaching abroad I would definitely recommend TEFL Heaven . It’s definitely worth it and you’ll learn so much and get a lot of help from the moment that you inquire

I did one of the earlier TEFL Heaven programmes (Koh Chang) and it left a lasting impact on me. The course was great and I made lifelong friends. The staff were great and they still keep in touch now, sending out details of jobs that I might be interested in etc. The TEFL experience inspired me so much that when I came home to England I decided to do a PhD on it! TEFL is a fantastic way to travel the world whilst boosting your CV and it has worked really well for me!

Last year I decided to leave everything behind and take off to Latin America to teach English, study Spanish, and explore. Thanks to the support provided by TEFL Heaven and the organizations it connected me with this proved to be one of the best decisions of my life. In Costa Rica, I was was able to complete my course with the dynamic and fun Audra Wooldridge while meeting other cool folks with similar intentions. After my program neared it's finish, Audra helped me find a paid job in Antigua, Guatemala where I spent the next 7 months of my life.

As a teacher in the US, I was used to long hours, high stress levels, disinterested students, and little pay or opportunity for a life outside of work. I found an awesome community of TEFL teachers who helped me to improve my practice and reduce my workload so that I could continue to study and travel and enjoy my time abroad. My students were incredibly grateful and my coworkers were fun both in and outside of the institute. We had a blast / living together, partying together, and traveling together. This opportunity has been life changing and super rewarding on so many levels as I've learned so much about myself and the world.
