They were Great!

Adventure Teaching made my life so much easier. They helped me through the entire process of becoming a teacher in Korea. Not only did they help me with the process, they also helped my to prepare myself emotionally for the journey. I would never have made it to Korea without the help of AT. They helped find a good position that I love. They have our best interest and want to make sure we are comfortable. Thank you for all your help.

Life Savers

Not only was Adventure Teaching supportive and helpful through (what can be) the confusing and bureaucratic system of international visas, they helped my sister and I get placed together in the same school! Most importantly they helped us make a quick fix when we missed our flight in the middle of the night. I would have lost my head ten times over if Adventure Teaching wasn't there every step of the way to make finding and securing a job in Korea so easy and pragmatic

Want to change your life a ton?? Click on the AT button, please.

AT opens up the doors to a brilliant experience that will forever alter your way of thinking, acting, and looking at the world. Their incredible support team and connections allow you to easily and seamlessly move into a whole new life that is full of gorgeous experiences, people, and places. Not always easy, of course, but anything worthwhile in life never is. From the very beginning with their calls of information, lead-ups, or simply to chat and get to know you...to their constant presence and advice while dealing with the frustrations of administration and immigration...to their meeting-upon-arrival at the airport...to their on-line store hooking you up with daily necessities and the very much needed Korean necessity of the mobile phone...to the continued help and support when you haven't had enough of Korea and want round 2, AT is there. A fantastic experience that has changed me inside and out, and I can't thank AT enough for making it all happen. Kamsahamnida! ^.^

Adventure Teaching: Made the adventure possible without the stress!

Pursuing my desire to teach abroad seemed quite stressful--before I was introduced to Adventure Teaching that is! I am beyond thankful for the quality of service and guidance I received from AT throughout the entire placement process. AT truly took into account my school preferences, my location preferences and my timing preferences! They matched me with a school that couldn't be any more perfect for me and the accommodations I received are far above what I imagined! AT made my transition abroad smooth and stress-free by offering access to all the important items I needed, such as a power transformer and phone plan! The AT staff is remarkably informed about everythig related to teaching abroad in Korea. If you are looking for an epic, unforgettable adventure but want to avoid the stress that might otherwise come from planning it, then Adventure Teaching is the only way to go!

Super Duper Amazing!

We were looking for a meaningful experience abroad and a way to save up some money, and we found it perfectly through Adventure Teaching! We work at a private academy in Korea, and though we hear that some academies can be unreliable, ours is incredibly stable and an overall positive working environment. Adventure Teaching takes their contracting position very seriously; they find good people to work at good schools! They communicated quickly, they were flexible when we had to change our start date, and they gave helpful advice in our decision making processes. Plus they put us into contact with the previous teachers, so we knew what to expect at our location. We were completely confident coming to Korea, because we were confident in Adventure Teaching's assistance!

Adventure Teaching: I highly recommend them!!

The people at Adventure Teaching were great. I've been in contact with many different recruiters and AT was one of maybe 2 or 3 that were consistent with updates and staying in contact. They were able to find me a good placement and worked hard to help find a suitable placement while working hard to accommodate my preferences.

Some highlights:
AT consistently keep in contact, many recruiters will accept your information but will go weeks without any word on anything; AT was always available to be contacted and no question was left unanswered. They also really help to get you prepared for Korea; helping you to keep your expectations realistic while offering helpful services and advice. One thing that I really liked was they they kept a positive attitude during the visa process and the first few weeks in Korea. Overall, AT was great; even during some difficulties in locating a job they still are giving advice and offering suggestions that can help you land a teaching job.

If you're looking for a recruiter, Adventure Teaching is definitely one of the most helpful and useful.

I Would Recommend Adventure Teaching Over and Over Again

Adventure teaching made the process of getting to Korea easy. The people who started the company taught in Korea themselves, so they know exactly what you're thinking, feeling, going to want to do once you arrive, etc. and they take care of so many details you don't even think about. AT walks you through the whole visa process, sends you information packets that you'll want to read before you leave, and does all the hard work of shifting through good and bad jobs to hook you up with one that fits your wants and needs. AT is partnered with the Arrival Store and therefore continues to ease you into this big transition by providing a phone on day one as well as some necessary items to get through the first few weeks. Aventure Teaching was a huge help in this process and was a very professional recruiter that I would use again and recommend to anyone interested in teaching in Korea.

Adventure Teaching is trustworthy but impersonal

So I have been in Korea for over four months and I am loving my time here. In fact I believe I am going to stay another year or two!

I have mixed emotions when it comes to Adventure teaching. First they are well established and based in America which is an advantage because there is no language barrier. But I found them a bit impersonal. They mostly correspond via email and my recruiter Kimberley would not read my messages well. I ended up answering the same questions numerous times and would have to send the questions I had to her two to three times in order to get a response. I felt like I was just a pay check for her and not a person. Also AT places you in the first company they find, I realize of course that I had didn't have to agree or sign anything, but Kimberley made it seem like I couldn't pass this offer up. And lastly Adventure Teaching works with TheArrivalStore.com and they really push the products. I spent several hundred dollars on items that I could get in Korea for less. Just know that they have pillows, blankets, plates, cups, etc...

But for all those negative AT did place me in a good campus ( the company I work for is known to have some issues with the native English teachers, but I got lucky and have a good staff)

Thanks for providing such great insight Elizabeth! Nate, we highly recommend taking a TEFL course as we find it helps with building confindence in the classroom and gives you a better idea of teaching English.
