Started late and finished on time

When I started working with Korvia Consulting to help me a placement I had already been in Korea. I was promised a job and at the last moment they told me they didn't have the money to hire another teacher. I only had a few months before the new school year started and I was afraid that I would have to wait another six month before I could get a job. I quickly called my old recruiter and asked for help. They were not interested in me working in Korea. Instead they were pushing their own agenda to get teachers to move to a different country. When I told them I wasn't interested they stopped contacting me. I didn't know what to do.
I found Korvia online and within a week of filling out the application they emailed me, set up an interview and got me looking at many different jobs. Everything was done quickly but nothing felt rushed. Everyone was so nice and always had a smile on. I'm so happy that I found them.

A Great Recruiter Before AND After You Arrive in Korea!

I wouldn't normally leave a review, but I remember looking at different recruiters before going with Korvia and if you're feeling skeptical, I hope my great experience with Korvia will persuade you to go with them.
I had a unique situation prior to coming over here. I was able to secure an F4 visa and I'm a military spouse, so I didn't need as much assistance in certain areas as other prospective teachers. Because I am a military spouse, however, my job prospects were severely limited by location. Korvia was great at finding jobs in my area. I also appreciated that they didn't spam me with a bunch of jobs that didn't fit my criteria. Some other recruiters did that, and it was just like, "Hey, thanks bro, but I already told you I live here and that job is 200 miles away."
My recruiter, Ciena, was great. The first job she sent me was for an elementary school (I really wanted high school, but we were having a hard time finding anything). I accidentally missed the phone interview and I felt terrible! I would have totally understood if Ciena had thought, "Well, that recruit certainly doesn't care about this job. Let me concentrate on other clients." But she totally didn't! A week or so later, she got me an interview at a local high school and I've been working here ever since!
The support I've received from Korvia AFTER placement has been great too. I haven't needed a ton of help, but I've emailed my recruiter a handful of times for advice and she's always been attentive and helpful. It's really cool that they do get-togethers every few months. They're really low key and fun.
I'm trying to think of anything negative from my experience to make this review less one-sided but I honestly can't think of anything. As I stated before, though, I really didn't need a lot of hand-holding so I can't attest to how Korvia is for someone who needs a lot of assistance every step of the way. I'm sure they're just as great!

The Best!

Korvia Consulting was there from start to finish!

I was fortunate enough to work with Jina Rhee! She was very attentive to everything. When she was not in the office, one of her colleagues reached out and helped me with my questions.

Korvia Consulting will work with you step by step. They are caring and amazing group of people!

Quick and reliable recruiter for South Korean public schools

This is the best recruiter I have used in South Korea. They helped me throughout the application process and with every school interview. My recruiter, Ann, helped me through every step of the process and was literally always available if I had any questions. She continues to help me with scheduling immigration even though it has been a year since I was first hired. And most importantly, they truly care about placing the best possible candidates in schools.

Good experience

I am very happy that I used to Korvia to find my job here in Korea. I had previously heard horror stories about Hagwons and how hot or miss they can be. Korvia did their due diligence with my Hagwon and it worked out wonderfully.

Daisy and Ashley were very helpful during the process and offered me a lot of options. When one didn't work out, they were right their with another one shortly after. Great people working there and certainly a recruiter that has earned a reputation of being the best.

If you are struggling to figure everything out on your own or need a good outlet to various English teaching positions throughout Korea, send them an email.

What would you improve about this program?
Offer assistance to those who desire to teach abroad, even if they do not yet have their Tefl certification.

Korvia- Going the Extra Mile

If you are considering teaching ESL in Korea, then you've probably noticed how confusing and stressful the process can seem. Korvia really helped me to navigate my way through the long application process. Every document, every interview, every form, every contract. They took the time to explain every step of the process, and provided really useful advice.

What I like about Korvia is that they go above and beyond. They really make an effort to make sure you find a job that you will be satisfied with, and continue to stay in touch after your placement to ensure that you are still happy. Not only did they maintain in contact with me, but also with my Korean co-teachers, in order to make sure that both of us were satisfied. They genuinely seem to care about fitting the teacher to the right position and school.

I
I would definitely recommend using Korvia's service if you are considering coming to teach in Korea. I also would recommend using them if you are considering returning to Korea. I intend to apply to a different program in Korea next year, and I certainly will be using their services again. They are profession, genuine, and supportive. Thank you, Korvia!

Korvia: There for you

There can be a lot of ups and downs in the process of trying to come to Korea. No matter what happens Korvia is available to help pick you up, dust you off and help you try again. It can be a long process but Korvia is very supportive, helpful and willing to answer your questions.

Right before I was suppose to leave a job fell through and they worked hard with me to help me find a replacement. Not just my agent, but the network of them work together and work really hard to help you get to where you want to be. You just need to be open and flexible. They're really good at what they do and they make sure you get to Korea safely and to your new school/home safely as well. They're the only ones who include a ride from the airport to your new home. They check in on you to make sure you're adjusting and will even (if you're both free) meet up for coffee when you're in town. They also throw wonderful welcome/teacher parties.

Highly recommended

I dealt with Daisy and Ashley from Korvia. I found them to be highly professional, encouraging and supportive.

I researched online and Korvia seemed to come as the most highly recommended, and after working with them, I can see why.

I was a little anxious as I applied quite late in the process, but they reassured me and found the exact type of placement I was looking for.

The application process can be very daunting, but Koriva gave a step by step guide and made it as simple as possible.

I now work of a school in the Gyeonggi province and it is everything ?I could have asked for.

I feel as though if I have any questions or concerns, I could still reach out to them. I would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to teach in Korea for the first time, or even to experienced teachers who are looking to transfer.
