Korvia is the BEST Recruiting Agency

I applied to teach in Korea overseas in Japan. The staff has experience with helping expats from other countries find work and be placed in Korea. My recruiter, Jessie, knew what to do every step of the way and if she didn't she would ask and get back to me quickly. I really felt like Korvia cared and was working really hard to help me find a great position. I ultimately landed a high level middle school in a city outside Seoul. The location and people here are great and exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend Korvia to anyone and everyone looking to teach at a public school in Korea!

What would you improve about this program?
Maybe Korvia can work with the Korean government and get the resident cards expedited.

Support and Encouragement

After I was accepted by KorVia, I had this intense fear that I would be THAT person--the one who asks a million questions, half of them with obvious answers, and I would become that annoying teacher. But, never once did any of the KorVia team members make me feel stupid or like I was a nuisance. Any time I asked a question they provided me with a full and clear answer. I constantly felt encouraged and supported, and despite making it here, it doesn't feel like that that encouragement and support will end; they are still sending information and supportive emails! KorVia is a superb team.

Best Recruiting Agency Imaginable

Mother Teresa once said, "People don't remember what you say and do; they remember how you made them feel." Korvia embodies this profound statement for me. Korvia Consulting made me feel so important and so encouraged through the stressful process of finding a position teaching English in Korea. I feel so grateful to the phenomenal staff there. If you want a quality position, go with Korvia. They are so helpful every step of the way!

What would you improve about this program?
I really don't have any complaints with Korvia.

Excellent Effort

Korvia was incredibly helpful in placing me in South Korea. I applied late, but three recruiters worked with me to try to find me a suitable position. I ended up being placed in the center of my first choice city, with my apartment being only a five minute walk from my school. This experience and transition has been wonderful and relaxed due to the tireless efforts of the Korvia team.

What would you improve about this program?
I would suggest a network to connect teachers in cities other than Seoul. They have a great network there, but for teachers in places like Daegu, Busan, and Gwangju, the network is not really set up/advertised.

Korvia-One of the Best

Upon researching for recruiters in Korea, I decided to go with Korvia. After I applied through their website, Daisy was the one to contact and interview me. She asked detailed questions, so I felt a bit stressed, but I later realized that was to weed out any applicants ill-suited to teach in Korea, at least from a professional standpoint. In the next few months, we corresponded via email, and slowly started to begin applying for schools. Of course, I lacked the necessary documents (FBI took forever, school didn't send out diploma until August), but Daisy was very patient with me throughout the process and answered any questions I had. Also, she was optimistic, which helped me get through this process. As I acquired my documents mid-summer, Ciena started contacting me in lieu of Daisy. Ciena had sent me several positions via email, but I decided to wait it out for a better position. I was about to apply for a business English position with Ciena's recommendation, but I suddenly got an offer for a public school position. Two days later, I had signed my contract and was set to arrive in Korea by the end of August. During this process, I'd been slow at responding some days as well as being picky, but Ciena was very patient with me and answered my emails in a timely manner. My only reservation about Korvia is that they're new in terms of working with hagwons, so the hagwon positions offered are limited. Overall, my experience with Ciena and Daisy were excellent, and I would definitely work with Korvia again.

What would you improve about this program?
More hagwon placements/ways to negotiate for better contracts with hagwon owners.

The most reliable placement agency in Korea

Korvia has placed me at a few jobs over the past 5 years. I tend to go a bit nuts around job hunting time (Do I want to stay in the same city? Do I want to move? What level? I hate high school, no, I hate elementary school etc.etc) and Ann has this amazing ability to talk me down and find the perfect position for me. I've seen this agency grow to be the first recruiter to be recommended by not only myself, but all my ESL teacher friends and the number one reason for that is that there is 100% honesty and transparency when dealing with them.

Korvia has done it again!

Korvia has done it again! This is my second time working with Korvia to find a school and I’ve once again been satisfied with their work! They were very accommodating in suggesting the type of schools I was looking for in the regions I was looking at. They used to work exclusively with public school placement but have expanded into private institutions as well, giving you more options to choose from.

In addition to their placement service, they also host a number of social events throughout the year for new and established teachers so that you never have to feel isolated here. And they’re really great venues!

If you’re looking to teach English in Korea, I absolutely recommend Korvia.
