Diversity & Inclusion 💙

As a female-led, local Thai family organization, we pride ourselves on a "family-first" culture that treats every participant with equal respect and warmth. Our community in Ban Lum is an inclusive environment where we provide personalized, on-ground support to ensure all participants feel safe and celebrated.
We operate with an open-door policy, welcoming all individuals into our family compound regardless of identity. Being female-owned and operated, we prioritize a safe, judgment-free space and provide local cultural guidance to ensure our LGBTQIA+ residents feel at home in Thailand.
Our residency is small and family-run, allowing us to offer flexible, individualized support for neurodivergent participants. We focus on clear communication and a supportive "village" environment to help everyone thrive in their teaching roles.
We assess accessibility on a case-by-case basis to ensure our local accommodations and school placements meet specific physical needs. While Thai infrastructure varies, our family team provides dedicated logistics and private transport to support participants with chronic conditions.

Impact 🌎

Our HQ is a family ecosystem featuring our own pesticide-free organic farm since 1945. We promote a "farm-to-table" lifestyle and encourage low-impact travel to ensure our programs benefit the Sukhothai environment and local community.
We focus on deep-rooted community impact through official partnerships with local schools and the Ministry of Education. By prioritizing local family-led management over corporate structures, we ensure that every residency supports the long-term educational growth of our heritage town.

Great experience

An overall great program.
There were no problems regarding bureaucracy and other issues associated with working abroad. The management guided and assisted me with everything: getting to/from the office, my visa application, and basically all the paperwork. Even finding accommodation.
The pay is great, considering the fact you would be working outside of major cities. You'd be able to afford a lot and be able to travel to other places during holidays.
The school I was placed at is one of the best in the province. However, even there the quality of the students may greatly vary, and the lack of a proper curriculum makes things tough. But on the bright side, the school's management turned out to be very lax which allows for a more creative approach to planning your lessons.

Pros
  • Helpful management
  • Decent pay
  • Training before moving your assigned school
Cons
  • It takes some time to adjust to how things are done here

KE Experience

The whole experience has really been a blessing. I am thankful for all the people I was able to meet and the things I was able to do.
I was first introduced to the culture and the people during my time in the initial beginning. Customs are different. Perspectives differ but respect is very much essential.
The importance of education, with regards to teaching and learning, is also very important.
Although there are points where the differences are great our similarities and appreciation for each other is something that will continue to share.

Pros
  • The Experience
  • Food
  • Safety
Cons
  • Things are nit always what they seem
  • Honest Critique

Teaching Abroad

Well my teaching experience has been nothing but amazing so far. Everyone at the school has been very helpful and the students are wonderful and kind. You have good days and bad days with teaching which you learn from both and can improve on day by day. My journey has been unique as this is my first teaching job and I had no idea what to expect. The advice I would give to any future teacher is to jump in the deep end and you will learn how to swim. At first it is daunting but you will land on your feet and your journey will work out on its own.

Pros
  • Thailand Lifestyle
  • The students
  • The teachers
Cons
  • Sometimes a lot of work
  • Organisational issues at times
  • Weekend work

KET

The moment we arrived at the training site we were welcomed and greeted with open arms. All the staff members were nice and had answers to many questions that us new teachers had ( and there was a lot of questions). Training was 5 days and everyday was filled with information, great food, and adventure. I loved how hands on this staff was with us 7 teachers. We stayed on the same street of the training building so there was no hassle to get there in the morning. We were quiet a group but it was fun.

Pros
  • thai cooking class
  • afternoon spent at a temple, riding bikes
  • English camp where we did a day of activities at a local school

KET Placement

Having worked in the service industry for a couple of decades, I can honestly say, Matthew John and his team at KET are of the highest calibre. Organized, efficient, extremely friendly, very helpful, incredibly supportive and also very informative. Nothing is too much effort!
Having taught overseas in the past, my previous transition would have gone much more smoothly if I had had the support and guidance of a team like KET Pacements. I recommend them without any reserve. Thank you, Matt and Team!!!

Pros
  • KET is reliable.
  • Professional
  • Friendly and Supportive.

Pleasant people, assistance and guidance when needed!

I found KET through my TEFL course job center and applied directly to the agency - highly sceptical at first with tons of question but everything was answered and i willingly put my trust in this company to help me find a teaching job abroad.

I’ve had a very pleasant experience with KET but i will say, it does take the right mentality to make this huge transition easy peasy, and i’m so happy i felt prepared! I’ve met wonderful people through this program and shared experiences with everyone so my absolute best advice will be, do your research! apply directly to KET as you will have more transparency and the team can help you in so many more ways!

i feel like im thriving in my new town and loving every new experience im getting! KET really made the transition of moving abroad easy and bearable to thank you 😌

Pros
  • Orientation week
  • Support and guidance after placement
  • inexpensive program
Cons
  • the bus ride from bangkok was hell, sorry
  • you make great friends during orientation and they’re placed far away :(
